+Gautam Batra : Well many of those bats are now made in India (by either SG or BDM or SS) with the Kookaburra sticker put on them afterwards. It's a fact...
@michealijames92, I work in the GM Cricket Factory. The Bat which Luke Write used was pretty a dry willow. If you got linseed oil, it would help you make it a bit more soft so that you feel the stroke in your bat. If you do not knock it in along the edges, the edges are rough and dry and are probably the weakest point.
@tridantking no there not, any bat will do the same at high speeds with high force hitting close to the toe of the bat. Its just logic and how Mass works.
Bats don't break because they're not knocked in. They break because there are cracks in the woods microstructure. People don't realise that bats display a better rebound quality with little knocking in. This is because the bat is at it's most fibrous. This is why manufacturers don't completely press the bats before sale, because the fibres would be far too compacted. This is why only light knocking in is done.
the reason why the broke is that the ball hit the bat's edge.. think bout it...the batsman swinging the bat with the force of the ball speed. edges are the weak points of a cricket bat. so, knock it in properly. @all of the comments
@tridantking the best bat in the world could break like that. Its common sense. If you it a bit of wood with a small hard object moving at close to 150 kph too many times it will break.
Kookaburras are useless Had 1 recoil 450 in Harrow snapped it. Got a replacement in shorthandle lots of cracks even after lots of linseed oil and knocking in.
This is a good bat Only reason it broke is because it has alot of grains and also the pros usually don't "knock in" there bats for a t20 game so the can get more power
i love how he signalled for a new bat after the boundry, as if his team hadn't caught on
Its always a kookaburra bat .. Something wrong with them
+Gautam Batra : Well many of those bats are now made in India (by either SG or BDM or SS) with the Kookaburra sticker put on them afterwards. It's a fact...
It has less weight
@@ianghose1 shut the *uck up bruh 🤧💀....spotting wrong fax is not cool
No new balance more
I couldnt stop laughing looking at bowlers face.
that batsman was luke wright
Thought it was your dad who left you in your childhood. Thank for clearing that up
The commentator was wrong , it happened in a test match, Michael carberry

POV: you did not search for this
Why can't every youtube video be in this beautiful quality.
I bet the sponsors love it when their players do this
i was at this game and i thought he had just let go of the bat. but looking at the replay screen told me everything
What??
Wow what a powerful shot!
where did the blade of the bat end up? From what i can see, it ended up behind the bowlers crease technically meaning that wright couldn't be run out
Beautiful shot
i can remember watching this on telly
And again Kookaburra Is it meet all quality standard.
Can you slide the broken bit of the bat into the crease or just the handle?
Mother OF God WHAT POWER The Broken piece flew near d Bowler!
Why the kookaburra
Which teams are playing
@tridantking
no there not, any bat will do the same at high speeds with high force hitting close to the toe of the bat. Its just logic and how Mass works.
guys do you know what model of kookaburra it is??
Trego looked impressed. LOL
Which teams are they?
Luke Wright was told to get a handle on things
If that ever went for only singles or doubles, how can he slide the bat?
My bat keeps breaking but not like that.
@tridantking that's the reason why england are the T20 world champs.
@belvinLgsony Not really. all bats break because if you hit a peice of wood really hard eventually it will crack and then break.
poor kookabura my favorite bat making compony nice the handle
didi not come of or brock now thats ampresive
Unlucky luke wright one of my favourite batsman
This ain't Arkham Asylum...
Too awe..
@belvinLgsony kookaburra actually
And again Kookaburra is it meet all quality standard
So confused when he said can only happen in 2020 - then realised he was talking about the format
its kinda a double entendre actually at this point

Mallet your bat
Absolutely not in the middle of the bat. Clearly came off the edge of the bat face.
its luke wright
wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wrighty u legend
not surprised, bat = as thin as the handle + slogged pretty hard at incoming speedball.
Plastic bats would have been way better 😂😂
i remember watching this live on tele i was pissing myself when i seen it:L

Mate I play for Yorkshire u16 and I have a kahuna 1000 and there the best bats you can buy !
@veltson12345 pretty sure he dont knock his bats in...
Doesn't know his own strength
Bat was too dry so he got a bigger profile for a lighter weight.
@tridantking the best bat in the world could break like that. Its common sense. If you it a bit of wood with a small hard object moving at close to 150 kph too many times it will break.

Kookaburras are useless
Had 1 recoil 450 in Harrow snapped it.
Got a replacement in shorthandle lots of cracks even after lots of linseed oil and knocking in.

Pro's don't with 20/20 bats :)
i looks like hes signalling at his team to get him a new bat
i think they noticed luke ha ha
@DAJAZDJ1 They pay him to use the bat, he probably couldn't care less.
let me give you one boundary before i go to the trash can...yehhh ...boommmm banggg clatterrrr.... here i go...bye
So you think a professional cricketer took a bat to the pitch without even knocking it in !!!
It was just a poor quality wood I guess.
thats why you don't buy £30 bats!
when did china make kokaburra bats????
Haha what are u talking about he plays in England and its and indian made bat
Indian bats are the best !!
Flying bat
kookabaura is a poor quality bat maker comapny.
@41 the umpire :)
Thats y u get it knocked
This is a good bat
Only reason it broke is because it has alot of grains and also the pros usually don't "knock in" there bats for a t20 game so the can get more power
