That sound of the stump being wrecked at 2:20 ...music to my ears!
Mukoma Lothbrok I see what you did there
pussycat
Test cricket at it's very best. This is the reason I love test cricket!
Battles like these make test cricket worth watching!
No it doesn't. I don't want to wait 4 days, aka 32 game hours to see this. This is insanity, and not justifiable.
websites like this don't stop you from talking!!
al r
Call me insane then! :P
T20 is a joke
I don't consider t20 cricket
Kallis was easily one of the finest players, especially of pace, in last couple of decades. Which only tells you how exceptionally well Freddy was bowling. He wasn't necessarily going express, but fast to fast-medium with immaculate control of swing made it far more potent. Such a great, great tussle.
O pussy, it's the sight screen
What a spell of fast bowling...absolutely fabulous...I always feel Filntoff should have succeeded more as a bowler with amount of talent he had.....
I second that.
He was a more rising to occasion players as opposed to consistent.
That bowling action we have all tried
+Tinotenda Chemvura That comment which you always type
Tino Chemvura - 100% true
Haha I only do that for Anderson and Flintoff.
Tino Chemvura Murali / Gladstone Small of England in 80's and early 90's / Paul Adams of S.A. in late 90's - early 2000's are my fave to try!
Whos got the best/worst/most memorable do you think?
Mukoma Lothbrok 😂
They did a simulation of what Kallis could see from his helmet and it was a total blind spot until the last second. Still says out bowled on the scorecard 👍
Can someone explain what he is trying to say
@@honestlyspeaking6630 see @ 02:09...
when u see flintoff bowl like this and the way he bowled in the ashes its hard to believe he averaged over 30 per wicket in test cricket
Flintoff at his best for 3 to 4 years arguably the finest fast bowler in world cricket. Great control. Very fast. Got the best players out.
im English but i reckon Kallis easily qualifies in my mind to reside in the top 15 cricketers who have ever played the game, utter class, salute you! (freddy shat him up here tho hehe).
spitroastfor8 its a shame age and injury got the better of his bowling. I remember an ODI against the West Indies in the Caribean where he bowled consistently at 90mph and 4 out of 6 deliveries at rib and heart level. Totally destroyed a pretty good WI batting line up
+spitroastfor8 Kallis was a class above Flintoff. Flintoff was an amazing player. But Kallis really was one of the best of all time.
i salute all your comments kallis was a legend and a machine,i just love the fact u guys love cricket....we're a dying breed x
Harry Strong here here
spitroastfor8 We're not really. Cricket is the sport of the second most populous country in the world-India. It's also huge in the rest of the sub continent.
While in Australia and England it's essentially the national sport.
What a magnificent performance by Flintoff. There's no sweeter sound than the sound of stumps shattering.
Thungggg
"At his best against one of the best" well said.
That was one of the best mini-battles I've ever seen in test cricket. One of the best technical batsmen I've ever seen against one of the most ferocious, whole-hearted bowlers; and Fred made Jaques look clueless for about three overs (had him plumb lbw too) before the knockout.
Cricket at its absolute finest.
'Clean-up time, full pint, out of the ground" Love bumble
Wow! It's been a long time since I've seen such bowling
Flintoff is definitely one of the best people to grace cricket. not only cause he was bullied at school not only because he beat belimia not only could he take the game away from you in a session but because hes a lad a great personality a real person
2:22 .. That Sound is why i love this game!! :D
I was listening the sound more than 15 times
A Flintoff yorker is a thing of wonder, the sound of the stumps flying is so satisfying.
My favorite allrounder. Not great stats but amazing to watch when on song.
31 with the bat and 30 odd with the ball is still decent mind..
Had the ability to bowl those special overs to great batsmen - Ponting, Kallis, etc. At his peak, more devastating than Botham - but obviously didn't have the longevity
Amazing, just awesome awesome bowling by Flintoff. Kallis made to look ordinary and that does not happen everyday. Such a shame Freddie's gone. I'll still keep my fingers crossed hoping he'll return to playing test cricket again even though it's certain that he's retired..
Always good to see Freddie make off-stump do a somersault.
Magnificent play!
wah sain wah, very good bowling Mr Flintoff
One God damn cricketer, I would always like to have in my team, this SOB will never give up, no matter, what pitch he is bowling on. Freddie, hope you are enjoying your life.
I have seen this video for more than 10 times now, saw it a couple of times today as well, and by far freddie is an awesome, whole hearted cricketer England has produced, the finest.
Always Love The Sound Of Timber !!!
Great Video. When Freddy was on swing he was a awsome bowler. This is what makes cricket a great game.
Great bowling but Kallis clearly couldn't see.
I remember being riveted to this. One passage of play that shows that no matter how you dress it up ODI ot T20 will never be as thrilling as quality Test cricket.
What a player ferdi was
This is why test cricket is so good! Flintoff pure brilliance!
All rounder battled such a great character of test cricket
As an aussie I loved freddy because he was fiery loved his country always put in 100 percent and you knew that you were in a contest against him people forget that freddy really had some serious pace when he got his back up even ponting hussey clarke etc all said he was the quickest at the time serious heat love his comments in the big bash league
A true sporting hero.. \m/
Epic spell ...killer ball..Kallis was batting on 64 and Flintoff made him look like he's a number 11 whos just arrived at crease.
Allthough Freddie never took a huge amount of test wickets, he was the best at targetting certain batsmen throughout a series and coming up with a plan to get them out.
Amazing to watch whenever he was on his tune the match I remembered 2005 ashes the match was best to best even more than t20 super over now a days
One of the best wickets i have seen !
Those were the great days
what a all-rounder player. ....awesome yorker
I was right behind this battle at the game, truely was amazing.
the windows above the sight screen were a metallic mirror colour and the ball could not be seen when Flintoff bowled the ball. A few other South Africans got bowled like this and the South African manager and captain asked the English captain and manager to cover the windows but they knew it was working to their benefit and refused to cover them up
Morkel was just as tall and caused the same problems
Sundakh Istan Finn has been taking advantage of this as well against the Aussies.
Mitchell Stark 6 foot five and a half two inches shorter than Finn Hazelwood 6 foot 5 an inch taller than Andrew all of them exploit it not just the English
Christopher King The whole of that end has been redeveloped now, there isn't the old "blind spot" any more
Oh come on...same goes for both teams and always has done. What makes SA special?
flintoff was a bowler who could bat i would put him in the same class as kallis
watching this is better than some of the live matches
A pumped up Freddy bowling was one of my favorite sight to behold. He would turn the heat up in batting too.
two of the greatest all rounders
Freddie at his compelling best. On statistics, it's hard to put Flintoff up with the greats, only 3 5-fers in 79 tests, only 5 centuries, pretty average averages. But he was certainly a player of great moments, and he had plenty of 'em. Stokes might be more talented, but I loved Freddie.
Best over of cricket i have ever seen ♥
One of the great All-rounder battles!
Breathtaking bowling from flintoff
Wonderful bowling
We miss u bro
Luv from india
Spcly ur firy n aggressive bowling
World's all time best all rounders against each other.. one of the best battle..
Test cricket being played in England is a charm
these two guys are the 2 greatest cricketers of all time......
Kallis my all time favourite all rounder...
And still people didn't realise that Kallis couldn't see the ball coming from his hand..
(noob here) And why was that? Incredible bowling skill or some problem with the backdrop?
sightscreen was too short for flintoffs high action
Anurag Singh b
That whole match batsmen were having issues seeing the ball at that end
Listn that line its so awespme" flintoff at his best one of the very best"👏👏👏
He was pretty poor early on in his career, he had a good run from his 32nd to his 54th of 103 wickets at about 23...he cut his average from 45 to 31 during those matches
There was never a man in the last 15 yrs of Test Cricket who got the crowd on their toes at every delivery, besides Flintoff.Yeah,Tendulkar,Ponting,Mcgrath,Kallis & Warne were great but Flintoff made the atmosphere of Tests like a T20.He did not play 120 Tests but I would rather watch his one Test that many times than watch as many different matches without him.He is my favourite Cricketer & I miss his brand of Cricket.
PS:I am not English & have never been there.
Star cricket channel....wow❤❤❤❤
Great stuff from the past
forget light and sight. this was top class bowling at its best against one of the greatest all rounders of all time.
its a pity that he had such a short career. was a true entertainer and is the one of the best allrounder of all times - flintoff.-----some bowling this..........the commentator is david lloyd......nice commentary
Hated that LBW decision at the time but it made that yorker even more enjoyable! I was buzzing at the time.... never celebrated a wicket quite like I did that day
i love the noise when a ball smashes the wickets!!!
best cricket battle ever.
Outstanding Bowling Freddy, Outstanding Commentary Nasser Hussain, Outstanding Keeping Ambrose, Horrible Umpiring Dar.!
Super bowling man what a contest
i miss freddie
what a wicket!
The ground at which we play at, we don't have a sight screen. There's just some woods. You have to see the ball coming out of the trees. We don't complain, we just get on with it.
looking back, were there any other south african batsmen who complained about not being able to pick flintoffs bowling up? i honestly don't remember any.
Flintoff u beauty .... what a gem of bowling it was .... pure pace
He was bowling around just 137 kmph here, not express
What n over
Feddie really miss you. ...
Forget your T20. Forget your 50/50 games. Test Cricket is the dominant Mode of the sport and lets hope forever will be! England needs another Fred.!
Listen to the sound of Stumps .... V Nice
greatest player ever
greatest allrounders in action
We want players to have attitude like flintoff and talent like kallis in todays players in test cricket!
You can say what you like about what Flintoff should or could have done in his career, but there are virtually no modern cricketers who could rattle people like Kallis, Ponting, Gilchrist etc the way Fred did.
test cricket is amazing
My fevareat bowler
That was fantastic bowling by English legend Flintoff, he completely destroyed South African great kallis, that contest was the part of history, in the 2nd innings Flintoff again got kallis wicket in great style
only ozzies and indians ever doubt the talent of this man, legand full stop.
"He's probably got him twice". Spot on Bumble.
Excellent yorker.
2:22 Best sound in the enitre sport world.
Thats why i love this game soo much
Man this is called "using the conditions". Credit goes to him. Remember Pakistan bowling to England in the dark and couldnt figure out where to bowl? Eventually lost the test match.
My fav Andrew Flintoff
great bowling love it
"Great theater. Magnificent drama. Flintoff at this very best against one of the very best" - Top class cricket and top class commentary. I just love watching test cricket in England.
super bowling by flintoff
Superb bowlin...freddie..retired early..one if the most handsome man with kevin Pietersen..
The battle between 2 great all rounders .
but the sightscreen is the same for everyone, south africa had morkel who is taller than flintoff
freddie was everything an english lancastrian should be. what a man, what a player, what a miss.
Legends at the pitch
The contention was that he was only having trouble facing Freddie from that end, so I'm not sure how much of the bowling he faced met that description.
now thats cricket!
It’s like the Ishant Sharma-Ricky Ponting over
