Plus, weather it’s “her business or not”, no sane, rational person would do what she does, she does show grave incompetence and serious lack of understanding of things, therefore someone like that cannot be trusted to take care of themselves, much less handle money. Courts in these cases usually appoint a legal guardian or payee. Another thing too was that at the time, she was living with her elderly mother, and it was a big possibility that she was also fleecing her mother out of money to send to the scammer, so obviously Adult Protective Services have to get involved.

I have great respect for the calmness with which you handled this person, even when she got so obnoxious. The story is baffling. You do good work exposing these scams, but some people are less easy to sympathize with, to say it like that. Something I keep seeing as a pattern to these videos is that the people involved often seem to get something out of feeling like they're important to the scammer and sending money seems to even reinforce that. I wonder if a lot of these people aren't misguided and that someone should somehow teach them to care or give love, feel connected, in another, more productive way. Someone like this woman might be happier if she fostered stray dogs, or something, spend her money on that, to feel like she's doing something meaningful. Society seems to push people into thinking that a person by themselves is meaningless, that having a romantic partner is the only way to be happy and/or have a meaningful life. Plus, weather it’s “her business or not”, no sane, rational person would do what she does, she does show grave incompetence and serious lack of understanding of things, therefore someone like that cannot be trusted to take care of themselves, much less handle money. Courts in these cases usually appoint a legal guardian or payee. Another thing too was that at the time, she was living with her elderly mother, and it was a big possibility that she was also fleecing her mother out of money to send to the scammer, so obviously Adult Protective Services have to get involved.

I have great respect for the calmness with which you handled this person, even when she got so obnoxious. The story is baffling. You do good work exposing these scams, but some people are less easy to sympathize with, to say it like that.
Something I keep seeing as a pattern to these videos is that the people involved often seem to get something out of feeling like they're important to the scammer and sending money seems to even reinforce that. I wonder if a lot of these people aren't misguided and that someone should somehow teach them to care or give love, feel connected, in another, more productive way. Someone like this woman might be happier if she fostered stray dogs, or something, spend her money on that, to feel like she's doing something meaningful.
Society seems to push people into thinking that a person by themselves is meaningless, that having a romantic partner is the only way to be happy and/or have a meaningful life. I wonder if that's not one of the key things to why there are so many people falling for this type of thing.

2)I work in the mental health field and have since 2008. I'm telling you, some of these victims suffer from some form of delusion. Jody is fully delusional. A key indicator of delusion is being surrounded by evidence and rational views in multiple, which oppose your point of view, but refusing to change your own paradigm. Arguing with someone who is medically delusional is fully pointless because they cannot change their paradigm. I will continue to watch and like your vids. The folks I have seen so far seem medically delusional at a 75% clip.
