Phil I didn't have the Christmas trees to deal with, but I'm right with you on the rush to get as much firewood processed over the next few weeks. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
The Ramcharger is a beast, but its not mine. I'm letting a friend store a couple cars here. I like the Splitforce a lot! I actually purchased it, so its a permanent fixture here now.
@WoodsTreeFarm how does the split force do on uneven or sloped ground? Most of my property has at least a gentle slope. Really considering one of these machines
@@FirewoodInTheField not much flat here either. I'll position it where the table is pretty level left/right then use the adjustable jack to level it out and chock the wheels if necessary.
@WoodsTreeFarm Thanks! Do you think a garden tractor or riding mower can move it around? I do have a T574, but almost always have something on the 3 point
it would probably do ok. I've towed it with my 2wd ATV and its done OK. The height of the hitch ball makes it a little tricky because its lower than the tongue jack will go, and the tongue weight is just enough that lifting it on/off feels like work.
@@nebraskawoodstr sell it straight from the bin. I have enough totes for a couple batches thru the kiln so I'll just refill those as I dry and sell it.

Nice to see you back making firewood Phil. The Split Force and Echo make a great team. Stay safe and see you on the next one. 👍🏻
Great video Phil
Phil I like how you spin the wood when you split it. 1/4 turns nice
makes some nice, consistent wedge-shaped pieces that way with very little scrap waste
You have an impressive place and equipment. Merry Christmas and of course happy new year.
Just like a pro on that machine. Just stay safe. Wow Christmas next week already. Time is surely flying. Hope everyone has a merry Christmas. 🌲🪵
Love that Ramcharger in the background around the 0:40 mark!
How are you liking that Split Force machine now that you have had it awhile?

Vertical splitter is a beast 😊
Good stuff Phil. Will you run the bin wood thru the kiln or air dry and sell out of it. Take care.

Just so you know, perfect stick came out with a new flexible rubber like disc that is way better than the old brittle one
Good to know - thanks. I broke/lost the puck on mine, but it works just fine using just the stick
.. Big Bin ...!
