As I write this, I am almost four months sober. I talked to a woman in the program who told me of alcoholics who had real time in the program and went out, never to return again. That was almost me. I have rehabilitated yet again. AA is what I needed when I started drinking. I realized that AA may have been what I needed my whole life...
Just hit 30 days I love this book it puts alot of the thoughts I had in the back of my mind and was maybe to unwilling to admit into a perfectly articulated format.
The alcoholic is in an acute contrast-learning incarnation in my opinion. If it were me, I would consider the alcohol a dodging tool to the non peace that persists. Alcoholism is the crutch that must legally be removed, thank God, as opposed to shopping or gambling until those get too out of hand, but it's not a legally immediate need to stop those crutches like being inebriated behind the wheel. those who take a drink after some time of sobriety, imo, once again experience absence of non peace and are dodger addicts. Sobriety is getting the hell out of dodge.
MODERN DAY MISTAKES OF NUTRITION: Blaming salt for what sugar did Blaming saturated fat for what vegetables oils did Blaming eggs for what toast did Blaming butter for what margarine did Blaming fat for what carbs did Blaming cholesterol for what inflammation did Blaming burgers for what the bun did The 50 year, high carb low fat diet experiment has failed miserably, in turn creating the heart disease, diabetes and obesity epidemics we have today. TIME TO BRING BACK THE FAT!
Why is listening to this giving me anxiety???? 2 years sober and doing awesome, I just now thought I’d listen to the book but it’s causing major anxiety! WTF WHYYYYYY
