Oregon has gone head to head against Ohio St for four top recruits now this year and Oregon has won every time. Lanning and his staff are recruiting monsters, you add that to Oregon's incredible facilities and they are going to be hard to beat for these four and five star recruits. Many recruiting classes Oregon sneaks in and gets at least one top guy because he is a two sport guy and Oregon has an elite national title contending track team most years and a consistent top 20 baseball team.

As a Texan for 73 years ,I know this… if a young athlete is being recruited by Texas and he turns them down as this player being talked about is…if he wants to go to another school out of state that’s fine he made his choice and I wish him the best…BUT DON’T THEN SAY IN A FEW WEEKS OR A MONTH OR TWO, “hey Texas, will you guys still take me?” my answer if I were Sark would be… I would like to young man, but the roster is full…we wanted you as you know, for the multiple visits you AND YOUR FAMILY made to the 40 acres, but you still declined us…good luck to you in your football endeavors…honestly, I feel that he had a good idea that he and the other 2 wide receivers who are contemplating going to TEXAS and probably will, did not want to take the chance that of the 3k he might possibly be the odd man out when practices came about…that’s just me though…everyone has their own opinion(s)…oh, I wonder if his signing included his family being flown out to games their son will be playing? Had he stayed here in Texas, his family would make a 3 hour 8 min. drive from D-vile to Austin,Tx…..

@@ninefingerjack the correct word you are trying to convey with your childish humor is “angry” but I am not angry as I just tried to convey..however in your humor saying “ I’m mad”, you show me a lot about you…you see, anger is an emotion and most people get over things that anger them…however, being “mad” is a state of mind and people who are “ mad” are in a mental institution….so, before you try being a comedian again, know what you are saying…I give one good dammm that the player mentioned went to Oregon…Texas will just reload…it is nice to see how many states come to the country that has the high school football players THEY WANT to make a football team with…

How is Dan Lanning getting all the props when all the recruits they're bringing in are getting big bucks? Dan Lanning isn't spending money!
That's not recruiting, that's outbidding other programs for recruits! BIG DIFFERENCE!
Recruiting is recruiting, buying players is buying players! Give props to the man that's opening his wallet, not Dan Lanning

It isn't Dan Lanning. It is Phil Knight trying to buy a Natty before he kicks the bucket. His checkbook is wide open..

Probably not true as that would make Texas NIL $23,120,000 when it was only $19,900,000. Regardless Knight is now handing out blank checks in hopes of seeing a Natty before he goes to dead sneaker land. aTm did the same in 2022 and two years later their team had disintegrated. Sarkisian wants guys who want to win for Texas and for themselves in academics and in life after football. He is just separating the talented from the dedicated now and getting his guys.
