It's possible to recognize him, but it's not a necessity for the story. It becomes clear in a later episode and all.

My headcanon is, that he is like Zeus, capable of shapeshifting (hence his animation at the beginning) and shifting to different beings to seduce women, that's why he has so many kids.

My boy is so socially awkward and clueless that he bases most of his sexual endeavors on the first experience with Blitzy. He started talking dirty to him because he thinks Blitz likes it and Blitz never bothered to correct him on this. He's so thoughtful 😂😭❤️
I feel so sorry for Stolas, man. Literally nobody in his life chose to be with him, not even Blitzø. He's obviously not perfect but it's no wonder that he's so insanely lonely and pining for passion and affection - he's been denied it his entire life
I mean he has his daughter they just seem to be in a bit of a distant relationship, but he does seem to care for Octavia a lot she just doesn’t full realize it.
@@Comet346 right and that's part of it like, she clearly means the world to him, and she obviously loves him too but she's at a stage in her life where she isn't able to connect with him anymore, it's so heartbreaking how utterly isolated and deprived of connection he is at this point. I want so badly for him and Blitzø to come around, even though Blitzø did have meaningful relationships in his life and just purposely sabotages them they are both sort of in the same boat, they could really do some healing together.

interesting fact: the crew said it took Stolas's VA only a few tries to do the song, and they didn't cut the final take so you can hear VA's breath and how broken his voice sounds sometimes, that's because the actor was actually crying during the recording, and brought to tears everybody in the studio

See, this is the part that infuriates me (not in a "real" sense, but in the show's sense, at 16:00 ) When we listen to Stella airing out all his business, and moreso, literally talking about how Stolas "just lies there looking at the wall" -- that is genuine *abuse and dissociation* , and began when he was barely between 19 or 20!
The actual VA voicing Stella is delightful and hilarious, (and so far the only real British person in the cast, which speaks very well of this cast!) but dang does she do evil WELL.

My headcanon is that Stolas doesn't really care that much about the sex-- just that based on their first meeting he thought *Blitz* likes that kind of stuff so he went along with it because he was that desperate for friendship and affection.
I think he definitely likes the sex stuff (In the begininning sex has never been something he was fond of, being arraged to marry Stella), it's just that his feelings for blitz have developed past a purely physical relationship, and now wishes him the very best

The other kid clown isn't blitzø's sister; it's Fizzerolli. He's the clown with the mechanic stretchy arms and legs at Ozzie's (and the clown that the robot from the LuLu Land episode is based on)

I don’t know if you noticed but Blitzo didn’t have that huge white mark on his face and body when he was a child but skip ahead and he has it. Those white marks on Imps is some times cosmetic like tattoos, birth marks or scars. So something 😉 happened in between Blitzo’s childhood and adulthood that gave him those marks and helped change him into the person he is.
Paimon(Stolas' dad) has.... a LOT of children. A lot of Goetia are half-siblings as a result.
As one example, Stolas' wife's brother, Andrealphus(you'll meet him later)is actually her maternal half-brother(same mother, different father)and Stolas' PATERNAL half-brother through Paimon.
So Stolas and Stella have no blood relations to each other, but they DO share a half-brother through different parents.

@@jarvontayjohnson3289 I'm not sure if it's been confirmed in the show itself, but I'm aware of a weird secondary canon where it is the case and it makes a great deal of sense just from what we know so far in Helluva Boss.
Andrealphus is clearly a higher rank than Stella, as he is the one she ran to and the one she brings up when Stolas threatens divorce. She never threatens Stolas with her own parents, but rather Andrealphus, suggesting Andrealphus is the bigger threat because they are of lower station than Andrealphus.
Andrealphus has also demonstrated cryokinesis as a power, while Stella herself has never displayed any type of power at all, suggesting he is not just of higher rank, but of higher breeding and therefore magical power, and if Stella is highborn enough to be married off to a Goetian Prince, it stands to reason that if her brother is a higher rank, he likely is another Goetian Prince.
It also makes sense in the frame of reference of why Andrealphus accepted the position to mediate the divorce and between Stolas and Stella and Stolas did not immediately object; if he is half-sibling to them both, then *on paper* he won't be unduly biased.
When he speaks to Stolas, though his words are clearly laced with ulterior motives, he speaks as though speaking to a social equal rather than with the respect and deference that would be due to someone of higher rank, like Stolas would be if Andrealphus was Stella's full sibling and not a Prince himself. I do think Stolas ranks higher than Andrealphus in the line of succession though, as I suspect Stolas is at least a few years older. Andrealphus strikes me as the smarmy and scheming young and ambitious type.
Paimon also says himself in this episode "There are so fucking many" in regards to how many children he has. The Ars Goetia isn't an infinitely sized class; sorta by definition, it's a much more limited number than the legions of Imps and other Hellborn, and Stolas has not yet mentioned his mother, so the only way Paimon could reasonably have so many children that he forgets their names is if there's a lot of variety in who he has as a mistress at a given time.
There's no mention of a Goetian Queen or similar position, so Paimon likely doesn't marry, he just.... sleeps around. It might even be considered an honor or a sign of high social status to have Paimon father a child with your wife, because it means your family will include a Goetian Prince or Princess.
And who knows how Hell's royal hierarchy norms work, Paimon might even use the fathering of a child with the wife as a bargaining chip, ie "I would like your daughter to marry my son Stolas, and in return I will give you a Goetian Prince of your own," resulting in Andrealphus.
Stolas is way more than what his introduction painted him as. Pretty decent demon all things considered.

So the book about Asmodean crystals was basically saying that the crystals are granted by Asmodeus to certain demons such as succubus, so they can access earth to do their job. Popular theory is that Stolas wants to get Blitz his own crystal so they don't have to meet up for the book anymore.
Also, the song Stolas was singing is his theme song, so this episode finally gave us lyrics to the tune that always plays for him, and it's really cool and really sad at the same time:')

I think Blitzo lucked out and didn't get his dad's mammoth horns. He wouldn't even have been able to fit in the I.M.P. van.
He's still not over the pirate thing - his favorite pistol is an actual muzzle-loaded flintlock, which I didn't notice until someone pointed it out. When they're watching the cherubs commercial in S1 he's pouring gunpowder in there.
Yeah, we've come a long way from the lighthearted murder hijinks the show started as, and I think it'll be very emotional from here on out. Not that the violence isn't fun! But I love that it has so much weight behind it now.
The flint-lock is also magical considering that he could fire semi-automatically in Truth Seekers.
I was so proud of Stolas in that moment standing up to Stella not putting up with her abuse anymore
Yesss Season 2! It does get very emotional. It was hinted at that it was a loveless marriage and Stella was not a good person, but this episode sent it home how abusive she is. It explains so much how broken Stolas is and deprived. Also shows how Blitz was and how they got together. It's always the small details in these shows I love. They give so much. Like "Morning after real quick" Meaning despite Blitz wanting to be out of there fast, he enjoyed himself enough to stay a whole night. As for you watching with a friend I'd be down to see you introduce both shows to him. It's fun to see new people react to stuff while you know what's going on. You can see how we see you, thru different perspectives.

Literally this show was good in season 1 but its like the minute this episode hits everything just EXPLODES in quality and depth. And im so here for it.
The kids did such a good job with this episode. Its still so cute on rewatches.

And a thing is that Stolas's father said not to bow to Blitzø. But in season 1 episode 7 when Blitzø was leaving Stolas bowed to him. It shows no matter what he still respects Blitzø 😢

Stolas is an owl so his neck can rotate 180° I always found it hilarious watching this episode when he snaps his head around just to cover his mouth.
This is my favorite, and alot of fans favorite episode actually, because of all that character and story development. I love the fact it focused on their childhoods and did it so well.

The other clown imp that was playing with Blitzø was Fizzaroli, which is his friend. You will notice that all the imp circus has the lust symbol on their foreheads. Idk why they all got that symbol but others might know or have looked into it. Could be just the circus symbol or they’re owned like branded, or imp trafficking??! Anyway Fizzaroli is the jester that works at Ozzie’s now
As someone who's only ever seen your Hazbin/Helluva reactions, I don't know who Chris is -- but more people watching these shows is always a good thing! So maybe once you're caught up to the live releases, you can do a rewatch with him on the channel?

i wanna say i’m really glad you’re enjoying the stories of the characters, since this is a character driven show! many people kind of shy away from the show when they realize it isn’t all fun time murder and sex jokes. it gets even DEEPER from here though, so i’m excited to see more from you!
as others have said- the imp clown kid with blitzø was fizzarolli. he’s the imp with the robo arms at ozzie’s, and the one the robot in LooLoo Land is based off. at the end of episode 7 when blitzø looks through his phone, we see the people in his life:
I.M.P (moxxie, millie, and his adopted daughter / hellhound loona); stolas; his ex now pop star verosika; fizzarolli; and finally his mom and his sister

Yes! Watch Helluva boss with him! Every time I watch this show again I find more things that I missed (little Easter eggs in the background, the MASSIVE amounts of foreshadowing, etc etc.)
The kids young Blitzo was playing with was Fizzarolli his childhood best friend that had the robot at Lululand in season 1 episode 2 and was in person at Ozzie’s in season 1 episode 7. Blitzo’s sister is named Barbie Wire and funny side note that’s actually really useful is that Imp horns are gender specific. Males have larger horns with a lot more white color to them, female horns are smaller and mostly Black. There are actually a lot of transgender Imps and you can tell by the horns, so if you’re ever confused about gender look at the horns.

Other imp kid is Fizzarolli, the famous clown that had a robot at Loo Loo Land and who worked at Ozzie’s. And this episode really put in perspective of the dynamic between Stolas and Blitz, the fact that Blitz was purchased for Stolas when they were kids, like the way that affects their mindset is crazy. Also that his marriage was arranged and clearly never been enjoyed, and the imp he actually cared about has always seen him as a royal to use, plus all the complications with feelings on both their sides under their circumstances.
And yeah bring Chris in, if you think it’d be fun for both of you by all means! 👍🏽

That song is Stolas' theme. You can hear it every now and then as background music. Most notably when he makes the zombies summon him in the Truth Seekers episode.

Fizerolli (the clown that was at Ozzie's, and has Robotic replicas, like at LooLoo Land) is the kid that Blitzo was playing with. Something about imps, males have black and white horns, and females have black horns. So, you can tell which ones are trans when they present female, but have black and white horns (like Millie's sister), or present male, but have black horns (like the guy who invited Blitzo into the party, when picking up Loona).
Fun fact: Stolas's fathers VA is the same as Jafar from Alaaddin

So far this is my favorite episode. The lore, the Stolas content we needed.. it's nice to see him standing up for himself after all these years. I can't imagine being forced into relationship (despite my sexuality) enduring years of abuse and even having this burden of mating with them and having a kid. Like ok, at least he doesn't seem to hate the fact he has one, really and is trying to be a decent parent (and he's slaying it despite messing up from time to time) but oh Gosh keeping the abuse from the kid as well must've been a lot.. from 1x02 we learned that Octavia seemingly blames him for the divorce.. now we see it was very much needed from the start and that he was the one trying to keep it up.. he deserves a break fr..

Yes bring Chris in. But I have some ideas foe how it could be done. Either A: You let Chris catch up off camera. Or B: You do some kind of rereactions with Chris so he can get to see it with you for his first time. At the end of the day its up to you. I wouldn't mind if it meant a break in the upload of new episode reactions for the time being if it meant getting Chris onboard with rereactions in the meantime. And both Helluva Boss and Hazbin are great so Im down for both.

Loona at the party was the same night as the 'date' and while Blitz DOES have a sister, you will meet her later, the other clown kid was Fizzarolli.
this episode was so freaking amazing,probably my favorite so far,we'll see what the last episodes of s2 have in store for us.
The backstory was incredible,horny Stolas was hysterical,and it's so satisfying seeing him stand up for himself against that BITCH of Stella,gosh I hate her,I will never stop to call her that way,and the only reason why I don't FULLY wish her death is for Octavia to still have a mother,that's it!
