- Today I will discuss about what is cylindrical power and how to read cylindrical glass prescription. cylindrical power creats in our cornea,cornea have there own diameter virtically is 11mm and horizontal is 11.5 mm if there is curvatural changes in cornea so there occur cylindrical power. back surface of cornea is 11.5mm.there is a myith that if you reading under low light or watching tv closely so cylindrical power occur actually its not true if any one having any corneal disease or any eye injury or any surgury there can be occur cylindrical power.
cylindrical power have their own axis but spherical have all the same power in all direction.this is the main difference spherical and cylindrical power.
SPH: Spherical Power,same power in total glass lens, SPHERICAL power can be Minus or Plus both.
CYL: Cylindrical Power,also called Astigmatism ,power in different Axis.

Same এই সমস্যা আমারও হয়েছে, কিন্তু এটা চোখের দোষ নেই। এটা আমাদের bluecut antiglare লেন্স এর সমস্যা। ধরা যাক, চশমা টা bluecut blue coat দেওয়া। এবার ওই চশমা দিয়ে টিউব লাইটের দিকে তাকালে টিউবলাইট এর একটা রিফ্লেকশন বাইরে থেকে চশমা এর উপর পড়লে ভেতর থেকে আপনি টিউব লাইটের নীলচে ছায়া দেখতে পাবেন।
