Gran Turismo 7 in VR on the pro is a pretty amazing thing tbh. An extensive game with a top-tier developer who pours resources in VR is pretty rare. And it shows: it's more clear, sharper and the framerate is rock-solid. I think this vr game on the pro (with a wheel) is one the best experiences gaming has to offer at this moment.
I had nausea with vr for 72 hours and it progressively went away to zero. I can olay every track wothout any issues and increased my DR from C to A+ solely on VR so it is competitive enough to be a top driver in the high A t9 low A+ lobbies. I highly recommend this for GT7 and cannot and would not ever go back to flat screen racing again.

The mission x is a great car in my opinion. Braking distance increases quadratically with speed. The brakes work just fine. You have to brake sooner than you normally would because the car is so fast. The turning is also fine. Again, you have to slow down or you will be asking the tires to grip beyond what they are physically capable of. I think this car handles great and people are just underestimating how much sooner you will need to brake compared to other cars. Also be sure to use TCS (just like with most real hypercars).
It seems to me the biggest problem for PS5 pro is the fact stock PS5 is so damn good. I get 110fps and VRR in stock ps5 with resolution prioritized and 120hz on. No way im interested in raytraced 60fps. That said, I have lately moved to racing in PSVR2 as it is really another level in immersion and intuition on track. PSVR2 just might push me to PS5 pro eventually. That 849€ for a console might be tolerable imon a weak moment, but the fact you have to splash another 140€ for disk drive makes it an easy no.. What comes to VR racing in general, I dont think VR makes people "sloppy". The massively improved spacial awareness and intuition just makes you go for gaps and tight braking lines that catch other players off guard. You can easily place that M6 GT3 in a gap no more that half a meter wider than the car, as you "feel" the extremeties of the car similarly to real life. But what seems like slam dunk to you in VR will easily catch your fellow flat screen racers by surprice, as they had no idea there was space there, and now its full of beemer. In worst case he has a gamepad in his hand and there is no way the game can interpret the inputs as accurately as the situation demands. Also what helps greatly in VR is that you can see and approximate the distance of your fellow driver in peripheral vision while concentrating on the track ahead.
PSVR2 and GT7 has made it harder for me to enjoy flat screen racing. There are those who like triple screens more, but me, having experienced a lot of GT7 in VR, I can't get into on a flat screen as much. I've also been a Forza fan since they started, but because of VR support on GT7, it tips the scale in favor of GT7 for me. Playing with a direct drive wheel setup and a sim rig, plus VR is a whole other level of racing in a game. Being able to judge corners better, or your spacial awareness inside the car or outside the car because you can use your peripherals to judge how close you are to another car without taking your eyes off the track. It's an incredible feature I think all racing games should be capable of. Unfortunately, not all racing games get VR, though. Im atill on the base PS5, so since I only race in GT7 in VR, i probably won't get the Pro. The game already plays smooth with 60FPS in VR and looks really clear. Like youcmention in the video, once your headset is adjusted right, it's honestly really clear and a lot of what you look directly at is sharp. I'm happy with the base as is.
The picture quality with the raytracing mode + PSSR is just not great ! If you turn PSSR off there no raytracing in cockpit view witch I only use.... So I'm mixed about this update

Comprei um PSVR2 e estou com 2 mil horas de GT7, mas sinceramente, cadê as atualizações para o PSVR2? Onde estão as novas pistas? Cara, eles perderam tempo trazendo um novo Jimmy, isso é tão ridículo e frustrante! Enfim, não espero nada de bom dessa DEMO, vai ser um carro que já temos, talvez uns 3 carros, e uma configuração de pista com algum evento do passado e só, coisa que eles fazem e 2 dias no máximo. OBS. GT 7 é um jogo muito famoso, ele definitivamente não precisa de uma DEMO gratuita.

Second give away is you are describing one scenario specifically from the DF video where he's driving through a tunnel and the lights from overhead in the tunnel are properly reflected into the car dashboard on PS5pro...but clearly you don't have a point of reference because if you played GT7 in cockpit mode you know that those dashboard reflections on a base PS5 are in screenspace and don't proper align with what is on screen. So if you drive under a tree for example you get a shadow cast but it isn't of the tree you just passed under or when you pass under the tree but with proper RT you get the shadow from the tree you just passed when you pass it. A novel concept...but real reflections kinda matter in a RACING SIMULATOR! I have no idea what you are referring to about bedazzled dashboard....probably some bad internet troll joke that only makes sense to you weirdos who go out of your way to lie about video games. Bruh, you are weird. Like seriously why lie? Why pretend to have played the Pro or GT7? At any rate, I've had my fill of your foolishness. Do better!!!
i got the ps5 pro. I knew I was getting ripped off but digital foundry convinced me it was a worthy upgrade. Now that I have had it home for a week or so It is hot trash in my opinion. It should cost $500 and the old ps5 should cost $400 now that it's 4 years old.

Agreed - I just upgraded to the Pro and it makes a massive difference in the clarity and smoothness in VR. Makes it feel much more immersive

Motion sickness tablets; game changer ; Kwells or Stugeron15, completely fixes any vr sickness problems, hours of blasting around on gt7 in vr

I just purchased a ps5 about 6months ago and am very upset that I had no idea a new console was coming out. I use PSVR2 and would have waited.
Use it as a present for a nephew or as a second console. The Pro is worth it for GT7 VR alone.
