There is a comment which I deleted from some random basher named JP Flores. I do not know what his intentions are but he pointed out some things I forgot to do daw. He also forgot that you can miss a lot of things as long as it is within safe practice and in the OSCE marking criteria. Guys, piece of advice, you can always do it your way, keep in mind lang na you stay within the borders of best practice and the marking criteria. Have an open mind and don’t believe too much in yourself that what you do is the only best way, in fact, there are tons of better ways.
OMG I have surgery on September 28, 2022 and my OB/GYN told me that I would be getting one but I would be asleep when it is inserted. Yes it looks easy but look like that should be painful. The ladies that I talked to they said it is nothing to it but I am so afraid I have never had surgery or a catheter. Having a full hysterectomy and removing my ovaries as well. Please give me some feedback on this.
Hi Aneesha. Thanks for the comment. But you don’t need to check the catheter tip for any infection. You wont find it there. Sometimes we check the tip to ensure no debris is left and the catheter is intact but it is not part of the osce marking criteria. :)
Is it ok if i will bring some extra plastic bag maybe? Just so i can immediately dscard the catheter aftr removing.. Or is it really necessary to throw it immdtly to the bin? Thank you
Thank you for the information but, sometimes I don't understand why they have to pulled the Catheter so drastically, that all the time Doctors made me bleed. Is there is a better way to pull the Catheter without bleeding.
This must have been a volunteer model not a real patient, as it was obvious the catheter wasn't long enough for a male patient...also he didn't flinch, which never happens!
Surely pulling it out like that urine would have gone all over the bed and floor🤦 I’d say that was a fail even with it being fake for demonstration purposes.

In actual practice that is fine. In OSCE, the clinical waste bin is arm’s reach so no need for a bag.
feeling ko ako pa ang taga hawak ng camera jan, pa shout out nmn po :D
Collab na tayo!
I heard this really hurts 😭 solute to those nurses doing a good job

There SHOULD NOT be bleeding when the catheter is pulled if the balloon was deflated. If there's bleeding, there is a big error being committed
Go Mark😊
