I'm with you on Hensche. plein air painting . bright color. color as value. My first intro to Henry Hensche was in a workshop with Diane Pike. She had us paint the outdoors but not using green. blew my mind. Love your work. Like your value grid in a plastic sheet protector for mixing colors. Hmmm.
Thank you for the kind words, Kyle! There is always hug and a day of painting waiting for you in Maine! (insert heart emoji) I love your videos already, including Violet just makes these a must see! Also, I am a fan of Hensche. I had the Cape Cod School as an inspiration in my Artist statement for years, but it was more accurate to say "French Impressionists" so I changed it. :)
Much love to you too, Dan! I’m glad you could clear that up in here and I hope everyone who reads this is I’ll take the opportunity to search out your work. That trip to Maine opened my eyes to a whole new possibility in painting, you were a real opportunity model to me then as well as now and especially now that we have our wonderful children in our lives as well ❤️
I’m also a fan of Hensche! It’s so great that you own one of his originals to study and enjoy! Really enjoyed your teaching today!
Gorgeous!!!

Great video. Thanks, Kyle.
Thank you for bringing information about Nenry Henshe. Always admired his work. Lucky find to own a Henshe.
Thank you! The video was fun to make

Enjoyed you painting very much! Music a bit too loud though. too distracting.
turn down your volume and enjoy
