One of the most influential albums in the trap genre. I would even go as far to say It's underrated for what it did to the sound of the music we hear today.
Waka played a small club in Oslo back in 2013. The capacity was 350 people, of course it was maxed out and the venue had 30+ security guards on deck. Sure enough a fight broke out during the first few minutes of the show. Waka stopped the concert, told the two troublemakers they had to get up on stage and hug it out or he would not continue with the show. Thankfully they did and Waka played the rest of the set mostly from the pit. The energy was INSANE! Surely one of the most memorable concerts I’ve ever been to.
Honestly, don't downplay this album. It's not lyrical miracle. But This album created a new wave of Trap music. Produced by Lex Luger & Southside. Even Jay Z & Kanye had to get a trap beat from Lex at one point cause he was so hot. & there's still a big debate ppl are still having on twitter today. If this album actually started Drill music. I doubt you guys will ever cover Drill. But this album also 100% started Drill. Young chop with his beats. Half they guys in Chicago naming themselves after Bricksquad. Chief keef signed to Gucci mane right B4 he went to prison & changed his name to Big Gucci Sosa. Trap music & specifically this album changed Trap & started Drill. Idc what anyone from Chicago says lol. They were heavily influenced.
Fozzy Bear says “waka waka” which is the bear on his chain and the “mascot” also you should mention where he says he thinks he’s a bad rapper. Lol. And AK literally spells out the “KA KA sound”
I like those transformer sounds in that Bang song. I think your Dad would love Mystikal's Murderer tracks 1,2 &3. About this Sisters murder. Please do a review on these Mystikal tracks. Thanks in advance.
I love traditional hip hop of all kinds i love fire lyrics i love good beats wether southren east cost/north or west but this stuff i grew up on and this music is so fucking intense and powerful the beats the energy can hype you up for anything lol its not lyrical at all but i can appreciate it definitely the beats are so fucking hard especially if you have a system in the car
Makavelli is actually a actual album which led to a series of underground albums that had mixs an different feat on songs that were on other albums people have gone so far 2 say these albums r why suge had pac killed wich we no isn't true but the music on those albums were in heavy rotation n bay area stereos 4 years
You know, when this came out, I don't remember it being considered Trap. It was considered a return of Crunk, which had died out by 05-06 in favor of Trap. Trap has become an umbrella term, but back then it was drug dealing/hustling music, specifically from the South, and especially Georgia. Crunk was just about energy and turning up with aggressive lyrics. None of this probably matters now, but it's interesting to see how things are viewed in the moment, compared to retrospect
Does this show go in the opposite direction? Most of the rap the father tolerates is off brand for most decent folks but just wondering if the son tolerates recs from his dad?
Funny he said that about the Roscoe verse on No Hands because I feel the opposite. I be turning up when he slides in with the “R-O-S-C-O-E Mr. Shawty-Put-It-On-Me” 😂
He can’t be old enough to remember how crazy people went at parties when this beat dropped 😂. The Roscoe verse has the loudest quotes as well. Just imagine the club going ham spelling his name and screaming “Rain rain go away that’s what all my haters say.” 🤣 What a time!! 😎
man, i just cant with waka flaka.. i really dont like the generic sample pack beat production, maybe its not that but all the generic sample packs are at least designed to sound like this, it sounds like mpc live presets to me... and the rapping or whatever is just annoying... ok sorry, rant over... love ur videos tho
You should stop showing your dad such terrible music. You have shown him good music in the past, not sure what changed in this video. All the best to you both!

Love how Kai leads dad through everything essential. Not only the purist stuff.

Play him the new disses that came out after like that, I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants to see that happen

To answer Kai’s question the Makaveli album (The Don Killuminati : The 7 Day Theory) was released 7 days prior to 2pac’s death.

I'm begging you, make your dad react to UGK's Int'l Players Anthem🙏
One reaction I never saw coming 😂 Great review tho, dad seems to be on the fence with trap lol

You should show your dad the Triple F Outro for a more introspective side of Waka, gives me chills everytime🙏
You guys should cover all the recent disstracks
Hard in the paint music video was iconic.

Since your Dad isn't that big on trap/coke rap, maybe you should play him the most lyrical guys in the genre. Clipse did it better than anyone...
Facts. I’ll do it soon
Luv this. Luv you guys ❤
Clipse would be sooo good. Man I love Pusha's rap style and the beats
Til the casket drop- clipse is a great album for dad to hear. Also young jeezy thug motivation 101
Hell yes..that first Clipse album is claaasic. Not to mention produced by Pharell @frontroom
I had 4 12"s in my car back in highschool and this album definitely made me and my homies loose some hearing😂

There are a couple of videos on this channel where Dad shows Kai his songs and Kai is able to enjoy them.
You gotta do some OJ da Juiceman now
Best workout album of all time right here
I couldn't help but laugh out loud just watching your dad listen to such an insane album💀
