I never used to believe that the gear you choose could truly elevate your performance in any sport. However, these skates have completely changed my perspective. They've enabled me to perform tricks that were unimaginable just a few months ago. Returning to this review after skating with these for a few months, I must say that I wholeheartedly agree with all the pros you mentioned and don't really share many of the cons. After experimenting with numerous skate brands over the years, I was introduced to a pair of M12 skates by a friend, and it was love at first sight. I initially had reservations about the smaller soulplate, but to my surprise, I haven't noticed any difference in locking soul grinds. In fact, I find that I lock them in even more securely. The perfect fit of these skates has boosted my confidence and made me fully commit to each grind. Also the raised heel gives my old(er) body the ability to bend a little bit more, making some grinds easier to perform. Like in reality I'm grinding with my toes but the boot is flat on the rail.
I won a pair the other day and they're so good! I've always been apprehensive about them cuz of fit issues some people have. I didn't need to worry thankfully! They are definitely narrow, they're the only skate that if I put my foot in the shell without a liner I can't move my foot side to side - it fits perfect! I have used a second skin liner to get the best fit for me, I had a real issue with the tongue on the stock liner. For anyone interested my feet measure 275mm and 276mm and I'm in a UK 9.5 EU 44 US 10.5 Awesome skates, I have found the souls a bit sticky on my local angle iron compared to USD souls but hopefully that'll get better.
Loved the review! I got the M12 because I am a women with a narrow-medium foot. Another pro that you forgot to mention is that these are UFS unlike a unibody boot like the Aeons - but I guess that is a different topic. These were the 2 biggest selling points for me especially since I like to customize my setups. I have to say as a total beginner (been on quad skates for 10 months) I am happy with the stock complete setup. I was able to land a soul stall in my second session in a mini ramp. I didn’t find the soul plates too small given my size and body weight. The grinds on the h-block were slippery but controllable - didn’t find the need for wax (not doing soul grinds yet). Anyways I highly recommend the M12s for anyone struggling to find a good fitting boot with narrow feet. I am absolutely loving inlining so far and looking forward to more of your videos (yes I know this video is old).
Been out of skating 20 years, these were always my favourite skate, even back then. I've got a cheap 2nd hand pair just to get my feels, but you have cemented my view that I will get my M12's LO in white.

I bought the same size after seeing your comment since I wear a women's 6.5. Hope that they fit since my feet are narrow and I tend to get a size 7 in women's for sneakers.
Having learned on the og majestic12 in the 90s I laughed at these sole plates being called narrow. These will be a god send back in the day. Also remembered having to take our brand new skates and grinding the h block into rough concrete to create the groove because the frames only came flat back in the days.
@@famanjetta11 I had plastic grind plates but I didn't add a additional heel soul plate till way later. That made a world of difference esp with one footed grinds.
For those as me with wide foot, for me was enough to warm up the boot with an heat-gun or hairdryer and carefully wide the side a bit, result is a fantastic fit.

They are good if they are good. In my opinion not that great as they look like. Very old, ancient shell. Nowadays are better skares like Aeon. Uncomparable. I have foot 42 size. 42 shell is too small , than 43/44 shell, much smaller, like they made a mistake when they were designed. In 43/44 shell no matter what I have tried I had lifting heels, always. For sure they are good if I had larger feet, probably yes. But b.itch please ,almost any skates are better: Aeon , SL. I'm in love with Aeons

Someone has put film on YT about upgrading Aeons with wider SL's cuffs to get rid of anckles pain. I think problems shows up eventually.
M12s are some of the most attractive classic skates but I have to say that the soul plate is actually bad. I actually got worse and lost tricks when moving to these skates. These skates are vert skates. If u like H-block tricks and don’t really do soul tricks and like vert then these are fine. The kids in Europe that are pulling off decent grinds in these have to have specific form and there is very little room for error. I have hurt my self the worst in these skates. I do not think these are good street skates. The liner is awesome, the stability is great the soul plate is trash. It’s weird and rubbery, the backslide plate is undefined and is kind of all over the place and really not that slick for street. Park skating they are fine for. I’m noticing that kids don’t really skate street anymore and basically just do park so that element may not be that big of a deal.

@@ThirtyandRollin thanks for ur answer but this solution is too expensive for me... Could u suggest me another model of aggressive skating fitting comphy for those with wide feet? Thk in advance

What's the best skate for roaming & urban street skating?
Grinding too? Or just urban roaming with some jumps, wall rides and stair rolls?
@@ThirtyandRollin urban roaming
@@rods7028 I would go with a solid 4x80 setup. Twisters if you have a narrow foot or NEXT if your foot is wider.
@@ThirtyandRollin thank you I appreciate it
@@rods7028 No problem!
My feet never liked these skates. Too narrow for me. I tried even changing out liners from intuition. Nope they still make my feet numb. I had valos.
These or the Aeons 60 Basic? i just got a little confused:)
If you want to swap frames and are more confident on grinds then these. But if you don't care about frames and want the best/easiest grinding experience out of the box the AEONS.
@@ThirtyandRollin Okey, I will buy the Aeons. THANKS!!
Whats your shoe and M12 size?
My foot is 27 cm long and not wide. I usually wear a 43. I really don't wanna use a 43/44 shell and look like a clown. Can I get away with a 42 shell if I use some Second Skin or Intuition liners?
They come a size smaller get one size bigger
@@jimconnolly4106 just as many people say they're true to length, just on the narrow side. I'm trying to find info on downsizing
@@ryn_pail I’ve just bought a pair waiting for delivery every sizing I’ve seen is a smaller sizing , even the UA-cam vids I’ve watched say it, but every foots different hope you get a decent pair that fit you well! Keep rollin bro
@@jimconnolly4106 sikk, please let me know how they work out. I'm trying to pre order a pair in the smallest size I can fit in before they sell out in the US again. If only Roces made a US 9/10 shell. Then I'd be able to pull the trigger on 'em and stop bothering everyone with their sizing choices.
Btw what size feet you rockin' and what shell you go with? Lol
Seriously though?
@@ryn_pail I’m a size 9 so I’ve gone for a size ten I bought them on amazon
We got rocess m12 but my kid feels the shoe weighs more.kindly suggest.
Not sure of the question. Are you saying the skate boot is too heavy?
I don't understand why M12 ce Anti-Rocker but 5th Element comes flat??? Feel like that's backwards. If your all about grinds your not gonna skate an M12, they are more an all rounder, bowl etc. Just doesn't make sense to me when if your worried about grinding your definitely gonna go 5th Element.
Couldn't agree more. Seems like common sense right?

I find the soul space much better than the m12 of the late 90s.
This is true! Still not the huge space of modern soul plates.
Which USD Aeon specifically?
@@omegamanGXE Billy O'neill, but now with M12 Valo liner inside, since original one hurts on anckles. With nice , red Valo sign :) Very comfy. There are out new Aeons, with some improvements, wider cuffs I think also, that way liner is not that important in that matter. Maybe the upgraded liner as well. Someone has put film on YT about upgrading Aeons with wider SL's cuffs to get rid of anckles pain. I think problems shows up eventually.
16:50 So you don't consider the MyFit 2nd Skin Liner or the Reign Slim Liner V3 a decent liner? Both come in skates just shy of $300 ...
All great liners!
I agree they are not the best grinder balder skate. Wish they had a wider soul kit.
Hurting is relative..if u pad right places for right trick u r all set bruv..no shame in padding up
Valo souls fit
so they don't have shock absorber? pity
Not much.
@@ThirtyandRollin thanks for reply, can I have one more question?
@@Aktivek Yep
@@ThirtyandRollin one thing, I bought them the other day and they are clicking when skating. Do you have any suggestion how to fix it? thanks in advace. I think the 6mm axle is not very good.bit loose inside the spacer. I tightened them up, that didn't help
@@Aktivek Hmmm I am not sure. You may contact Roces about it.

You are the only one telling about narrow sizes those m12s come in. Wow just got a pair went up a size and they are so narrow. I mean you have to have super thin feet. So damn disappointed
Ya sizing up wont help much in these. They are a very narrow shell.
This sucks I got a wide foot. I'll never be able to skate the best skate...
Not true at all. There are a ton of great wide foot skates on the market!
