But Why didn't you turn score on rightly? it is continuous with last round? So am i misunderstand this system? Second, Why did you turn Simple System's Foundation off suddenly? Perhaps Massive Monkees managed to score higher in foundation.. I think all judges did a good job overall though, Born has mad knowledge about the culture and knows how to judge his category and the same goes to all judges. I read a lot of comments about foundation being judged by musicality, but foundation is way more than that.
I think it's because foundation includes all those things. If one person had good footwork, but no tops, and no musicality, you wouldnt give that a 4 or 5 JUST based on the footwork. That's the only reason I can think of. Also like everyone else said, the system is a little too general. 10 points would seem like a better system to differentiate between the small things that make one bboy better than the other. But the system is still improving so we'll see.
the reason dyzee made it 5 points, is to prevent bias from the judges. if it was out of 10, the judge could easily give a certain bboy an extra point or so because it's minor.
is there no category for musicality ?? there is a tune symbol but it stands for foundation or am I wrong ?? If there is no category for musicality then there is no point in this system
It was a guy from Simple System - go back to 9:03 . It falls off the head of a guy from SS. The guy from Team Shmetta picks it up to diss SS. SS thinks it's from Shmetta, but actually ends up shitting in his own teammate's hat.
funk wouldn't be judged by born..Born judges foundation. You could be funky, dope, etc. all day & still get a 2score from Born...Being funky or having flavor would technically fall under Orb or Ken Swift's judging criteria...
I really think they need to expand the system: Instead of out of 5-points, it should be out of 10-points. I've seen WAY too many rounds this year, where i felt that someone was definitely a little funkier than the other person, but Born both marked them as 3 (average) At least if it were out of 10, one of them could have received a 5 (true average) and the other would get a 6 (average but a little better). A 5-point based system is too general for battles of this level. Needs to be 10-point
