because Malaysia has this "muslim country" image, those young, loud "party" people don't come here. Instead we attract more laid back people so it's fine. Those people usually go to Thailand or Bali to party haha.

I love and welcome visitors but not those loud and roudy ones .I prefer my country remain a hidden Gem. It's alright if it is underrated and not known. I just don't want it to be like Thailand and Singapore. Too commercialized , expensive , fake, crowded and stressful. We just want to keep things simple, natural, friendly and beautiful. I remember the time when I played Runescape with my online friends. They asked me about my origin. I told them I'm from Malaysia. They looked at me and shrugged. They replied "Where is that bro?". I said " It is quite near from the Thailand and Singapore". They were like " Oh yeah those two countries are famous". I felt sad at that time. But now, I feel happy because everyone knows Malaysia.
Hopefully, more and more people will now understand what an awesome country it is... and btw I am seeing that now.

Im malaysian married to a british husband. We met thru online. When i said im from malaysia he doesn’t know malaysia at all. He know thailand & singapore only. He first came here just for married and he immediately fall in love with malaysia. Now we permanently stay here & only go to uk for holiday.

Every mention malaysian underrated but they should malaysia ranking top ten visited by tourist in the world rank no 6 behind singapore the top bangkok.

Awwh. Love this! You’re right, Malaysia is super underrated. For me, other than the hot weather, it is one of the best country in the World.
If you’re coming from Europe, prices of food & hotels are super cheap. 5 star hotel for only 50 British Pounds a night, 3 pounds for proper meal per person. It’s really a country that everyone in this world should visit atleast once.
Absolutely my friend, we loved Malaysia. You are right, the weather can be a bit hectic, but yeah just avoiding the mid days and staying indoors at that time can be a viable option. Thanks for watching :)

Malaysia was underrated in its absoluteness until the 80s. In the 90s Malaysia was started to be seen. The Black Hawk down incident in Somalia was one of the triggers. Even this trigger was underrated until 2010s and that is why the movie Malbat Misi Bakara is made. If you are still in Malaysia you can watch this. But my prediction is that, with the issues between US and China lately, Malaysia will not stay underrated for long. The best position in South East Asian for US to confront China is to back up and highlight Malaysia as they also realize that Singapore is too small to be a friend in fighting China.

What about the food portions in Malaysia compared to Thailand for basic street food! I find Thai food portions are way too small even local Thais feel the same
We found the food portions in malaysia quite generous, and then again, it depends on what u are ordering. One thing I'll say, even thai food portions are better than French 😉 hehe kidding
