The province is quite divided today between unionists and separatists, but in reality most get along without problems and most, at least reasonable folks, abhor both 1936: fascist Francoist violence and more recent Eta violence.

Gosh! What a beautiful little town and surrounding areas! Reminds me a lot of very similar small villages/towns in bavaria, the north of italy and austria at the foot of the alps, with the important difference that the prices in Broto seem to be very fair if not to say affordable! Come on...this cozy little hotel with his antique charm, room and restaurant for just 50euros a night looks like a bargain to me! I would rent a room there anytime for 2 weeks and do daytrips into the Pyrenees and feel totally pleased! I´ve discovered you and your channel when you uploaded videos from/about the canary islands (which I´m a big fan of) but decided to subscribe when I saw you travelling through spain. I really do love your attitude, enthusiasm and the fact that you startet including informations about the history of the area, location and prices for hotels, food and so on into your videos! These small additions upgraded your videos (in my humble opinion) from the usual "Look at me! I´ve been here and done that!" show off videos you can find here on youtube in the thousands into the category of really informative, interesting and helpful videos/information for people that like to travel europe on their own with RVs, Campers, backpacks or even motorcycles! The ETA bomb that killed Presedente Blanco, Franco's successor, was detonated from a manhole in the street. It blew the limousine all the way onto the roof of a three-story building that housed Madrid's top Cardiologist who I had just visited prior to this incident.

I remember this well because I had anaphylactic shock in a dentist chair in Madrid, and was dead for 4 minutes. The dentist sent me to Madrid's top Cardiologist, which was located in the building that Blanco's limousine landed on top of. I hope there weren't any cardiac patients in his office at the time! Great channel you've produced. You have excellent communication skills. After the influence of discovering your channel a few days ago, I'm beginning to imagine living there once again. My niece and her family live in Fragiliana 1,000 ft above Nerja in the state of Málaga. Keep up the excellent work! By the way, I didn't realize how many pretty areas of Malaga there are. It looks fantastic.
I like your videos. They are very interesting and since I am 78 now, I can only visit places like this vicariously through these videos. Many of the Spanish words are the same as the native language here on Camiguin Island, Philippines. I am an American too and could tell you are also when I heard so much "colorful language".
I commend you on your rapid learning of Spanish. I have met many non-Spanish teachers who teach Spanish to Hispanic-born Americans who don't know as much Spanish except for their inner-city dialects. Now, I know why many government agencies, doctors, lawyers, business people, and Military operatives such as the special forces and the C.I.A. know Spanish fluently at a professional level. They are all smart and they learn fast. Kudos to you and all of them.

Been going back and forth over where to live. Now I'm looking at the beaches near L'Albufera, as it's beautiful/peaceful and less than a 30-minute bus ride to center of Valencia.

That's not the Basque Country. The little village is Broto, in Aragón region. The central part of the Pyrenees is situated in Aragón and contains its highest summits and incredible landscapes and villages 😉

What's important is that this region is really wonderful, with this high majestic mountain peaks..and such beautiful and diverse landscapes, rivers, lakes..and some unique, picturesque villages ..full of history and marvellous people.

I love Elliot`s work but to call Navarra, or in fact, the Basque lands of Vizcaya, Gipúzcoa and Alava, "terrorist lands" is quite inaccurate and unfair. Moreover Eta dissolved and is no longer active. Also the separatists in the Basque lands are not a majority today. I would advice a change in the title of the video that eliminates the term "terrorist".
