With all due respect to the Great Artimus Pyle , you just don’t get to see Live Bob Burns playing drums much. Yes , He had his issues but He was a pleasure to watch live. God Bless em all. 🙏
They are American 100% they were the bestband I've ever heard. And they where originators they were that genre of music to me. That was my favorite music. Southern rock was wonderful and I'd like to see the tradition keep going. 38 special, The outlaws The Allman Brothers Blackfoot Molly hatchet Rossington Collins. Man I love that music.
@richardsampson7163 Wow!! I consider them music royalty. I've read every book about them every video. That plane crash was just so horrible. Can you imagine what they would be if that wouldn't have happened. I can't imagine what kind of songs Ronnie Van zant would have written.
Ya tenía ganas de ver a los miembros originales de Lynyrd Skynyrd ❤❤😢. Luego tuvieron un accidente de avión 🛩️. Y algunos de ellos murieron. Lynyrd Skynyrd forever ❤❤❤. Juan Carlos Canales Arce 🍁. Santander Cantabria España Europa.
Skynyrd's normal three man guitar arm;y took a sudden hit when Ed King quite the band during a tour just prior to their scheduled appearance on The Old Grey Whistle Test. This required remaining guitarists Allan Collins and Gary Rossington to rewrite their playing parts to cover Kings . Ronnie Van Zant was furious and uttered the words, " Ed King. You have one year to live.". Yet, in true RVZ fashion, there was no intention of canceling the London gig. After LS returned to the States, they added their newest guitar addition -- Steve Gaines who was brilliant. Gaines remained until the fatal crash in '77 which killed him , his sister Cassie, RVZ plus three others. I remember that day. A very sad time.
And just think... this is WITHOUT the three guitar attack. The best was yet to come after Steve joined. "One More From the Road" and "Street Survivors" in 76 and 77
This is the soundtrack of my youth. I was friends with Danny Joe Brown from Molly hatchet he was the singer. He told me stories what it was like growing up in Jacksonville Florida back then he was in the rival band and Lynyrd Skynyrd was called something like the I can't remember exactly the 2% something like that he said they basically competed with each other for who was the top band. Somehow they all end up in a wedding. They got into a fist fight in after the fight was over they became friends and thought that this guy ain't so bad after all. I miss Danny Joe Brown man he's gone. He was cool as hell really nice guy. One night we spent at a radio station singing songs I had my guitar with me and we sat up all night on the radio with the DJ. Singing songs and talking in Jacksonville North Carolina back in 1984 I think it was.
@rebeccamizell1071 can you imagine if the man survived they didn't crash what they would be like how many songs Ronnie Van zant would have made that would have been just great. I was friends with Danny Joe Brown. He was a singer for Molly hatchet me and him used to hang out. It was back in the 80s when he told me the story about growing up in Jacksonville in about what Lynyrd Skynyrd was like I don't remember what it was but it was just something percent. Danny said he was in the rival band for Lynyrd Skynyrd. He said they all met at a wedding got into a big fist fight. They became friends after that.
