      5 years? What the heck. They are normally 3 years. Did you do some foundation degree to bring you up to a suitable pre-requisite standard, or did they teach you really slowly?

    This is really excellently described and visualised. It helped me understand the pinch-off effect, and I really appreciated the drawing attention to the mosfet symbols representing the internal connection between source and gate. I would love to see more explaining how the integral body diode is formed

    amazingly detailed explanation 1)with modern graphics 2)with interactive moments at 06:15 and 07:12 (which perfectly fit for teachers and students). Millions of students will be inspired by your tutorials in near future (this is for sure)
    P/S: the only thing I'd like to note (which I believe it should be fixed) The speed of narrators speech looks like a bit higher, it can be slowed down (by 0.8 or .
    0.10%) to put some intonation to speech.

  • @Rohit-xc3tl
    @Rohit-xc3tl 3 роки тому +1

    Hey so in the video after pinch off part you said about saturation current and when the reverse biase is increased the saturation current will not increase , so I have a doubt if the reverse bias increase doesn't it make the junction narrower so less currently can only pass through it , so shouldn't it be said the saturation will not decrease if the voltage increased instead of saturation current will not increase

    • @ExplorerStuff
      @ExplorerStuff  3 роки тому

      The reverse biasing does increase but the junction will still exist.
      Theoretically the junction should cut-off by the growing depletion layer.
      But due to the large flow of electrons, the electrons jumps the depletion layer and continues to flow.
      But the electrons that can jump the depletion layer are limited, hence the saturation current is constant.

    • @Rohit-xc3tl
      @Rohit-xc3tl 3 роки тому

      @@ExplorerStuff yeah I understood that but theoretically the saturation current would decrease right because of pinch off right so theoretically if I increase voltage upto beyond pinch off current should decrease instead of increasing right?
      Thanks for the reply

    • @ExplorerStuff
      @ExplorerStuff  3 роки тому

      @@Rohit-xc3tl Theoretically there will be no current after pinch-off, because the depletion layer will block the path.

    How will the channel form under the gate because electrons in p-type semiconductor are in minority. Meaning there are very low to no electrons in the p region. So from where electrons gather under the gate in such concentrations so as to equal the concentration of electrons in source and drain effectively making it n-type ?
