Can you please share what kind of Microphone was used in the recorded around the One Minute mark? I'm particularity interested because of the quality kept in the recording despite the high winds.
+Sencheezy We are not able to tell you the exact type of microphone it was recorded on but the reviewer, Ivan, did say it was a boom mic which had a very furry windbag. Sorry we can't be more technical, the team that recorded the video for us were sourced by a third party and Ivan our reviewer knows little about recording equipment.
The star on the bonnet is a must on a mercedes it looks more classy
The proportions of this car is just perfection. The style is timeless and its presence is second to none. It whispers class. It needs to seek no attention. It will get it regardless. I will have to wait a few years till I can get one but make no mistake I will get one.
Why is the new E Class gonna be sold in the UK with the badge in the grille rather than in the bonnet? I prefer it with the badge on the bonnet, that's a proper Mercedes Benz!

Nice review. And it looks like pretty good damm car :). Anyway I ve noticed one disballance regarding steering wheel switches. They are black...... :( and it looks unballanced on the white steering wheel. Maybe pre-production problem.

Hi, really enjoyed the video it has great info. Hope you wont mind answering a question. Im buying a 2016 Mercedes E class car. It has a Burmester sound system, but I noticed the car you are reviewing in the video has extra speakers, behind the wing mirrors, which the car Im buying doesn't have. Can anyone explain why that might be?Any advice would be much appreciated... thank you
We are not sure but think the car in this video differs from a UK-spec car in some areas - and that this is one of those areas. When we drive on car launches the cars can be European specification rather than UK.

+MrSpencely With the last sales figures, there was not much demand for the classic grill in the UK, so they now diden´t offer it any more. But you can order the classic grill as sparepart and sell the other grill also as new spare part if not your Merc dealer offer you this option by them self as argument for a buy decision.

The interiors are absolutely amazing, but I can't help but wonder on their durability specially on those light coloured leather seats, I men a few leisure drives with jeans rubbing off would definitely leave a mark. Or am I mistaken?

+James Clark I've owned an MB GLK and a BMW 3-series with beige leather seats and I can confirm your fears. I had to clean the leather at least once a month and even then it was never as clean as new. I now have black leather and never have to think about that, but it is not as close as nice as the beige setup.
BokiXI Right? I suspected that too, and if am buying this car and spending boatload of money, then might as well get things that will suit best for the long term. Unlike the idiot kids who posted above. Also I checked here in UK, they don't exactly offer that colour combo(maybe later they would) but if i do buy this next year or so, I'll be getting black nappa leather for sure, looks great!

Why doesn't the UK market get the star on the bonnet?
Hi Mehmet, It is due to health and safety reasons as a protruding bonnet ornament is deemed dangerous in the case of an accident.

Thanks goodness they have brought back the beautiful mercedes chrome grill......I hate that chunk of plastic on the previous model. It looks just like a slightly shrunken S-Class which is great.Hope it is built up to Japanese standards, as they have had
a stack of quality problems across all models over the last 10 years.

Other than Lexus, no Japanese brand can even be put in the same sentence with Mercedes, even when looking at the last 10 years when they were not really the best in their history.

I still have this strange feeling that the LED signature lights make current MB models look cheap. They are simply overdoing it. They should employ somebody from Audi to take care of this, otherwise they will end up looking like Hyundai or, God forbid, Range Rover.
Materials are really great but lot of so similar models and mass production made them emotionless. I would always go with Volvo S90 even this one lacks some elements that are so cool in Mecedes interior.

Mercedes or Cadillac xts??? It seems cadillac would be the cheapest better option. Especially with the onstar.
I'd consider the new Cadillac CT6. I think it's supposed to replace the XTS.
Audi and BMW clearly dropped the ball this season, I predict Mercs will be the lease car of choise in the next few years.

+Synematic Studios It´s 2016 as the first cars E-Class cars are rolled out at the end THIS month. Buying a 2017 car in 2016 is unlogical and nonsens. Only some US car magazines started with this date nonsens, it is the 2016 modell in the large rest of the world.
+Synematic Studios in the UK we call new models by the year that they're actually released, unlike the US system which i don't really understand but seems to always be a year ahead.
cool E-Class
It looks like a scaled down S-class saloon to me. In fact other than its size it's difficult to tell the difference and I'm a car spotting enthusiast. ..and good at it ( Don't giggle,, that's a hobby too) It also has that piece of dark mirror where the merecedes loggo is usually placed,,(I call it seal of luxury...It was taken from Mercedes S class Maybach models..and was only been used on S-class saloon before) To me this probably is the best looking E-class saloon yet and I'm not even the biggest e-class fan ( never have been).It seems to be desgined to push to the luxury executive market where BMW and Audi will not match up Mercedes. The out going e-class is bulky and boring in my opinion but this is different and better looking and it is oozing class...It makes you wonder Why would somone spend 70K pounds on S-class when they can have this for around 35K ??? If you don;t believe me go to Benz website and configure them, very similar indeed.
Back of E-class looks like the C-class.

Can't for the love of God get why shiny high gloss materials are used in a car that's supposed to be premium. It's SO tacky and very grotesque looking. It looks cheap and terribly bling. Guess it will appeal to mafia housewife's or perhaps the odd pimp.
