Great Video. Thank you. I have a question, and maybe you said this or someone has already asked, but did you create the 3D character in C4d or was it premade?
Hi, The 3D character was downloaded from Mixamo
This video saved my ass lol thank you so much
TRIGGERED
and thank you for your effort. If you can make a video about Lo-Fi soft, that would be aweso!

sotNice tutorialng either - I assu that works with Edison too) and I never thought about after that. Now, at tNice tutorials mont, I am inspired! I am
Apologies to anyone who couldn't download the footage recently, not sure how it was removed from my drive, but it was... I have the link working again
choose to keep the loop playing in any order, DJ's will love tNice tutorials.
Also are you using the Mac or PC version?
@ 24:26 I was thinking rendering a shadow pass of the scene which will later be multiplied on top of the mannequin.... would help reduce the shadow opacity, be positioned , be blurred and masked independently of the mannequin in after effects ? but ig adjusting it in c4d also works
That's a solid workflow for sure, thanks for sharing!
Nice tutorial but which is way better tracker AE or the built-in Tracker from C4d?
It's a good question but one I cannot answer as I have never used the tracker in C4D. However I have heard the tracker in Cinema has more options and ways to deal with troublesome track points. I must give it a go, I've never really had trouble with the AE tracker.
Very interesting! Looks very real except for the shadow closest to the foot which should be much darker. Does that need radiosity to be achieved?
For contact shadows you could turn on Ambient Occlusion in the render settings, unfotunately the shadow catcher can't see contact shadows so you would have to set this up without using shadow catcher
@@jbmocean399 Thanks!
No worries. If you have Redshift you can get even better results, I have a tutorial that goes through how to set something similar to this up using Redshift + c4d:
ua-cam.com/video/cCEIZSShYRg/v-deo.html
Thank you for the video!
May I ask why are you rounding the framerate up to 30fps?
Yep, 30fps...always
The only reason is so that it is easier to type and easier to remember.
hello, I created a material ball and put the video in it but the ball doesn't load the video, it is just a solid color, can you help me?
Great video!!!, quick question: is there a reason the shadow catcher material doesn't show shadows from the sky object, only from the lights? What I mean is if I let the sky object alone and turn off any other light, the alpha channel created from the shadow catcher won't show the sky object's shadows...
Hi Braulio, I'm not sure why the shadow catcher doesn't catch shadows from the sky object. It's a bit annoying for sure! My advice would be to switch to Redshift which sorts this problem out completely
I have had the hardest ti finding a video on soft that actually made sense to (I'm brand new with literally zero knowledge) and tNice tutorials
Great tutorial! I just started learning C4D and have a question. When I import the track data into C4D, everything is importing properly (3d camera tracker and nulls) but the scene won't play in C4D. I scrub through the scene and there is no movement. It was a sucessful track inside of After Effects too. Any idea what I need to do to get this to have playback inside C4D?
Does your frame range in AE match up to your frame range in C4D?
In AE under the time code you can see the frame number... Make sure your frame range starts and ends on the same number in both AE and C4D
@@jbmocean399 Thanks so much! That got me on the right track. I appreciate your help.
Please anyone can help when I import the tracker when done in AF I open the file in C4D CLICK Play animation the track surface is moves not solid in the ground move with camera I am noob need help
