Hey Chuck, thanks for your support man! Also, thanks for taking the time to show off your goodness!! Re your centre monitor, if you want it a bit lower you can remove your monitor, rotate the VESA mount until it's upside down, re-attach your monitor and then lower the monitor using the horizontal bolt. In short, it will give you another 1-1.5cm of adjustability. Hope this helps man ;)
It's great seeing someone so passionate about there hobby... my level is just PS4 with Project Cars and a hand controller :) Thats an amazing set up... I'm totally blown away...
Haha, unfortunately I got into sim racing after I got married and had 2 kids and now I see all the rigs people are working with. Ill stick with my wheel and office chair for now.
Just a thought, switch around the ram mount on the box. Put the 1" at the top of the arm at the box and the 1.5" at the bottom on the frame. Great rig my friend. Thank you for the share.
Watching your video has been awesome! I also have the 3x27" screen setup and the screen lining up has been a nightmare!! And I did laugh out loud as I too had one of the bolts shit itself and had to go to the hardware store to get a replacement... Just upgraded to the Fanatec wheel and gear shift, but I've bought the DSD pedal set... sadly I have to drill holes in the base plate t mount it so that's the weekends job! Rock on :)
Got this fix from Chris at obutto about to side monitors being lower. It works.Easy Fix: If both of your side monitors are lower then just unbolt your middle monitor from the VESA plate, rotate the VESA plate so the bracket is upside down, bolt your monitor up and lower the horizontal bolt as far as needed.
Nice rig man. This is what I am looking to build some day. Seems like I am on the same path as you were. I don't have the physical room yet but will with the next house. Well done!
a KICK ASS rig u got there man, jeeeeeeeesus!!! This would make any man jealous. Cant wait to get into simracing myself, just gotta get the funds together (currently working abroad for the rest of the year) and then gonna spent the next year probably completely in the army, as lm a Finn (represent whoop whoop!), but after shooting guns, it's time to kick some ass on the track! Enjoy man, this looks sweeeet as hell!
beautiful...i wish i had that set up in my home...why didnt u go with the laid back postion like a f1 style seating position which is a bit more comfortable..?
Nice, man, getting the basic version of this for Christmas with a Thrustmaster RS300. Can't wait to get back into Iracing. Been 2 years since I last played due to work travels. Question for you... I have an extra 40 in LCD TV sitting around. I dont' plan on going the 3 monitor route for awhile, budget only allows getting the chasis and the wheel. Any downside to using a screen that big on there? I had thought about buying a new 27in. but since it would only be one, I thought the 40in used (free) tv would work better.
I have 3x40" monitors and now just sitting on dining table. I just bought the wall mount for each TV and going to DIY the whole thing. What brackets that you use ? Can give me some pointers ?
Heya mate. love the set up.. I'm currently looking at getting the obutto revolution... could you please tell me the dimensions of it please with the 3 27inch monitors... its the width I'm after mostly :) many thanks bro
very nice set up. I love your enthusiasm you sound like you really love it. I also like your pvc rig. would you still recommend doing a pvc rig if money is an issue or just weight and save?
again nice rig man. but I was wondering what your opinion on the thrustmaster t80 wheel is? I absolutely love it one of my favorite things about is is the bunji cord system. and it just feels very nice
Hay Chuck, did you ever get the mass of your pvc set up after you got your Obutto up n running, lookin to build a rig n your pvc look like a nice starter set up. Mad Mike
You first built you rig out of pvc. I'm also considering of doing this. But i'm going to use it like you use this one. For simracing, fps shooters and webbrowsing and maybe watch a movie with the seat reclined. Would you say that the rig you built out of PVC was sturdy enough to do this for a year or so? I would also like the Obutto r3volution but same as you i have to get the right funds to buy one the way i like it. And then the thing is quite expensive. I was looking for an ozone but inql. the table tops and some other things and shipping it to the Netherlands it would became like almost 800 dollars or 700+ euros.
Hello.I just orded my R3volution chassis:) So exited:) How wide is it with the screens? If you measure it at its widest with the screens.. Just want to know if it fit`s in my Game room:) The room is 150cm wide and 300 cm long, so hopefully it will fit:)
Nice rig I just bought the obutto revolution its on its way to my house I can't wait I have a basic fanatec 900 degree wheel and would like to upgrade what do you guys think of the t300rs? And will it work with fanatec shifter & pedals
nice setup im slowly working my way to getting all fanatec gear but i have to ask why are you using thrustmaster shifter when everything else is fanatec?
Very nice rig, Cody. I wonder why you didn't purchase the Fanatec shifter. I bought the same setup, for wheel, and build my rig from scratch. Perhaps I'll upload a vid sometimes. Also want to know if you connected your pedals to the wheelbase or via usb to your pc.
I had originally ordered that awesome Fanatec SQ shifter until I saw on my invoice that I would be backordered for three months, and I definitely didn't want to wait that long. I have the pedals connected through USB because I couldn't get them to work through the wheel. I searched all over the interweb to find some useful information, but I couldn't find anything, and Fanatec is next to useless when it comes to finding material on troubleshooting.
First let me say I am sorry I didn't get your first name right (was distracted by the comments, I guess). Too bad you didn't get the shifter. I can admit it is awesome but I guess the T500 should be as good as the Fanatec. I also connected the pedals via USB. Otherwise the 'feedback motor' will not work (I assume that the motor consumes too much power from the base).
oh man, you just have my dream rig. i'm getting obutto ozone and thrustmaster TX + 599XX wheel, can't afford that fanatec stuff. we can switch rigs sometimes if you want :P
my friend I will tell you something very cool and helpful how would you like to play all the arcade games that's was and still is in the arcade and was in the arcade from 80 and 90 and all the video consoles for free that for free 20 to 170 video consoles and over 95.000 games for free again just type in hyperspin and watch it on you tube and let me know what you think I just order mine 3 days ago or hyperspin system.
How well does the wheel hold (wobble, weight issues) and did you have to drill any holes for it? I want to upgrade from my Fanatec CSR to a CSW v2 and my flimsy Playseat Challenge won't do for this I guess.
I see you have workstation separate from you sim rig. I'm also working on 3d modeling and using cintiq as my third monitor. you think Obutto can replace your workstation? I spend most of time sitting and instead of spending good chairs like 300~400$ range, Obutto seems lot price efficient rig if it can work as my workstation but haven't seen anyone using this with cintiq or tablet yet.
Jong Ho Kim yes, it is an awesome workstation it is way more comfortable that even high end 400$+ "ergonomic" chairs or whatever the seat is very comfortable and the keyboard tray placement is perfect, also you have a feet rest which is big plus to me
Hehe, nice to hear I'm not he only sucker for Obutto R3volution and the Fanatec BMW-rim. I saw it, I want it! Really nice rig you've put up there, I like the simplicity of it. I'm thinking about going somewhat the same route, although using the Clubsports dashboard and Rev+SwitchLight from simracinghardware.com. I'm kinda curious. I don't know how long you've had the Obutto rig, but how do you find the quality of the seat? Does it wear easy, or is it build to last a few years to come?
I started out with a wheel, a desk, and a PC. (You can run iRacing on just about any reasonably updated computer). I used a desk for a few months, then got a triple monitor setup, then I built a cockpit out of PVC, which cost me right around $260 (I have a video for that on this channel too) . It doesn't have to be expensive, but yes, this particular setup was right around $4k
would u mind to help me pls, i have g27 and if i buy the thrustmaster, how can i change the old gear shift with it? i think the cables in g27 are all connected to each other so i can't change it easily. and how to connect the mini tab for gauges to the game?
If you're wanting to use G27 shifter with a Thrustmaster wheel, then you'll have to buy an adapter that makes the shifter work by itself. I have one called the Basher Boards FL2 Shifter Adapter that plugs into the G27 wheel and makes it a standalone USB device. I don't think they make them anymore, but I was looking a few weeks ago and found a company that does, just do a little Googling and it shouldn't be too hard to find. Also the tablet works off of WiFi. The cable you see plugged up to it is just the charging cable.
-Acer G6 27" widescreen LED monitors It's in the description, but you can usually tell if the monitor is Acer if the Sleep/Power button is sticking down from the right side of the screen. Asus does it, too, but they usually have their name in bold in the bottom center with some other stuff.
That particular PC was right around $1k but even at two years old it still runs just about anything on max settings in Eyefinity. I've experienced some slowdown in Batman Arkham Origins when there's a lot of enemies on screen. But iRacing is so graphically adjustable, you can run it on nearly any modern PC. I just wanted to max out my graphics. There's other good PC Sims too like rFactor 2, Assetto Corsa, the Codemasters F1 franchise, but I prefer iRacing. Everyone will tell you ones better than the other when in reality they all have their strengths and weaknesses.
Cody Keith just be patient with it. Once you figure how the iRating and safety rating systems work, trying to get out of the rookie races will seem like it takes forever. The key to getting out of the rookie class is being patient and finishing races, not trying to win them.
+Roxidius Unless your implying that his Alzheimer's has caused him to forget how to hold a camera steady, I think what you meant to say was Parkinson's disease. ;)
Shoulda perhaps spent a tad bit less on all the actual racing components and upgraded that god awfully subpar PC there. Also, for about 70$ more each, you could have had monitors that are unbelievably better than those.
Monitors with a higher refresh rate, like the ASUS VG248QE, they are 1ms response time and have a 144hz refresh rate. The diffrence is unbelievable, ESPECIALLY with racing games, I could only imagine the immersive experience with a setup like this. But you need serious graphics power to push that, I have 3 set up in portrait mode, and I have 2x GTX 780ti, and they are watercooled and overclocked to almost 1.3ghz each and I still have trouble getting over 100fps in the really demanding games. Its 3240 x 1920 resolution, almost 4k and you need to get at least 100fps minimum to notice the high refresh rate, but its worth it.

I need to become single again. All my money is going towards tampons and furniture
LOLOL
+Magi Strala Sounds like you need some Leykis 101.
Haha, unfortunately I got into sim racing after I got married and had 2 kids and now I see all the rigs people are working with. Ill stick with my wheel and office chair for now.
Hahahahaha
+Emkura Fura - sorry for you man :(
Your video made me pull the trigger on this same set up. Thanks for posting.
That is bad ass congrats man! Racing games will never be the same.
Just a thought, switch around the ram mount on the box. Put the 1" at the top of the arm at the box and the 1.5" at the bottom on the frame. Great rig my friend. Thank you for the share.
great rig you got there man and i love the passion you have for it.
Watching your video has been awesome! I also have the 3x27" screen setup and the screen lining up has been a nightmare!!
And I did laugh out loud as I too had one of the bolts shit itself and had to go to the hardware store to get a replacement...

Beautiful setup!!!! Congratulations!!
You should move the two side monitors to your direct sides to give you a more in depth feeling like this!
You have come a long way from the PVC days!
a KICK ASS rig u got there man, jeeeeeeeesus!!! This would make any man jealous. that is so good mate well done
I got to use one of those for free today at the auto show it was awsome it was a dream
exactly how I want mine to be,,good job
Dude that's sooo badass
beautiful...i wish i had that set up in my home...why didnt u go with the laid back postion like a f1 style seating position which is a bit more comfortable..?
this setup is sweet man
You sound like Vin Diesel. Also have the same last name :D Nice setup! I'm getting my T500RS soon!
Dame!! Take some filming class man!! I am getting a headache watching this, like is earthquicking there
Nice rig man I love every inch of it but me being 16 it might be a while to get this.
Nice, man, getting the basic version of this for Christmas with a Thrustmaster RS300. Can't wait to get back into Iracing. Been 2 years since I last played due to work travels. Question for you... im using a 42" tv sitting 1meter away for my racing sim i don tthikn i could go back to a smaller screen unless it was a triple 27-30" setup
Nice, good to know.
great interview, thanks
PGR2 that was a fun arcade racer.
Thanks man. You must of just put the pc specs up bc I could have swore they weren't there yesterday
Yeah I just put them up there ☺
Just awesome, Man.
Same chassis here. Perfectly good ! So what sort of bolts and nuts are you using for the triple monitor mount ? Thank you
Did you try adding a few washers to level the monitors ?
Enjoy your Setup! Got a pretty cool one, let me tell ya! :)
Keep on racing.
Nice rig. Nice vid.

did i see a machine paintball sticker there?
Super happy for you, man. Nothing like (*making*) getting our dreams come true.
Are you playing other games other than iRacing?
This is so awesome...
nice setup im slowly working my way to getting all fanatec gear but i have to ask why are you using thrustmaster shifter when everything else is fanatec?
how you get in to this thing without tripping on every damn cable?
0:44 can't stop laughing😂😂😂
How do you get thrust aster shifter to work with fanatec?
nice rig
Damn that is sweet.
can i know whats the headset brand?it come with the camera and with these the screen view can move as my head move rite?
Very nice rig, Cody.

Do you have a part number for the monitors? I'm in the process of putting together a rig similar to yours.
anyone know how i can make/buy a keystart for my pc via usb?
Man i want spend time and money make a simulator like that, how much did you spend on it?
oh man, you just have my dream rig.
i'm getting obutto ozone and thrustmaster TX + 599XX wheel, can't afford that fanatec stuff.
we can switch rigs sometimes if you want :P

??
Vary nice i hope I can get mine soon lol
Hi Chuck, were did you get the 14" extension for the x grip mount. I'm interested in mounting my tablet like yours. Thanks
eBay. Just search for Ram Mount 14" extension
thanks
How well does the wheel hold (wobble, weight issues) and did you have to drill any holes for it? I want to upgrade from my Fanatec CSR to a CSW v2 and my flimsy Playseat Challenge won't do for this I guess.
No movement whatsoever. the base is pre drilled for the wheel
Great, thanks :)

Everything here was right around $4k
+Chuck Parker ohh...shit, I was thinking 1.5k, guess I needs save even more now
whats the game that was running in the background ?
Great setup! Looks amazing, and no red is not overrated, looks great xD
BTW, how come you didn't buy the Fanatec Club Sport Handbrake?
so where did you get this?
awsome set up wow! wires need sorting lol if had to money to buy a rig like this outright, I would probably lean more to buying a real race car yolo
the wire situation disgusts me .....really I feel a little sick ....I need to lay down
jim Timmy Well, then again, wired components do have a faster response
Productivity Kings yes but bloody keep them tidy ....for the love of God use some freaking cable ties
jim Timmy True True
Productivity Kings lol

thanks so much dude
Whats the difference between ozonlaget and r3velution?
Slenderzebe r3velution is a newer model with a few extra parts :)
Which monitors are you using exactly ? Type ?
-Acer G6 27" widescreen LED monitors
It's in the description, but you can usually tell if the monitor is Acer if the Sleep/Power button is sticking down from the right side of the screen. Asus does it, too, but they usually have their name in bold in the bottom center with some other stuff.
Can you control the clutch like in real shifting or you just have to press it to shift? Like, can you stall?
It depends on the sim. In the case of iRacing, if you don't clutch properly it'll miss the shift so you'll have to clutch and re-gate the gear
Cool! So it lets you control the rpm for things like punta taco, right?
Really great setup.
If you can afford..sell your fanatec and go for accuforce steering wheel with
SimVibe Software and buttkickers.
Daaamn, how many millions? ;)
Yea I figured it was around 4 or 5k for everything. I was wondering more about just the pc. Like if I were to build one
Yea I would get right into iracing mainly bc the community is huge.
Cody Keith just be patient with it. Once you figure how the iRating and safety rating systems work, trying to get out of the rookie races will seem like it takes forever. The key to getting out of the rookie class is being patient and finishing races, not trying to win them.
Why the !!! dont you have a motion sim ??? you have alot of nice stuff you should really look into it
nice vid
Sweet.
i shouldn't be watching this. I want the r3volution so bad
I envy you, GREAT FUCKING JOB!!!! congrats!! im gonna copy cat you
What kind of computer do you use?
A custom rig I built about two years ago. I put the specs in the description
What headphones do you use?
Logitech G430
check out my cockpit just type in racing simulation cockpit look for darnell brown
epic.
You so rich man !
Bitches love my cockpit.
+MD SHAHID KHAN RONY PC was a mid-end of Performance

Lol, you sound like fucking Tom Hanks!
So isn't it hard to race with Alzheimer's syndrome?HOLD THE CAMERA STEADY MAAAAN!
+Roxidius Unless your implying that his Alzheimer's has caused him to forget how to hold a camera steady, I think what you meant to say was Parkinson's disease. ;)
Brad Cardwell
haha xD true.
all the effort and no effort to cut off the edge of the screens .. dude get a hacksaw and lose the plastic betweeen the monitors
just wish it was recorded with better camera work, too much vibration destroying my eyes
Shoulda perhaps spent a tad bit less on all the actual racing components and upgraded that god awfully subpar PC there. Also, for about 70$ more each, you could have had monitors that are unbelievably better than those.
which monitors would've been better?
wax? Get an oculus rift for best racing experience. It's way smaller and cheaper than three monitors and all that equipment.
Monitors with a higher refresh rate, like the ASUS VG248QE, they are 1ms response time and have a 144hz refresh rate. The diffrence is unbelievable, ESPECIALLY with racing games, I could only imagine the immersive experience with a setup like this. Nick Hansen sure..........
stop pacing ffs
why dont you just go buy a car?
Aaron Kleinhenz You mean to race?
Ya but nice setup man
