Ultron is supposed to be scary in an emotionless way, Tom Kane does it best not only because of the edits to His voice but also because He made it so that Ultron had no emotion, even the way words and sentences are structured are more emotionless. An Emotionless machine bent on ending humanity is scarier then a machine that has emotion and even jokes... Age of Ultron was an amazing let down of a movie mainly because it's villain was weak.
I don't understand why they can't keep jokes out of supposedly very deep or intense scenes, the jokes immediately take all the seriousness away from the scene they are trying to make intense. Especially in this case, because Ultron makes jokes and is far more arrogant then even His comic book self, it lead to Ultron being a very poor character and ultimately a failure as a intimidating threat. I swear they even just made Dormammu's entire scene from Doctor Strange a joke... They suck at delivering good climactic battles for what are extremely strong foes. The Mandarin (Was not even the real Mandarin and they also made Him the leader of AIM which is incorrect.) Ronan the Accuser (Dancing defeated Him. Fucking Dancing) Ultron ( Couldn't beat a single avenger on His own. His Ultron Army was so weak regular bullets destroyed them.) Dormammu (Spoiler Free. It was dumb though.)

Kane and Spader are tied for the best Ultron voice for me. Kane perfectly fits the robotic and menacing Ultron voice of Hank’s creation, but Spader perfectly fits the version of Ultron made from Tony. More snarky and quippy, but still menacing in his own right.

Spaders Ultron has the most nuanced human emotion and is chilling to the core. The most threatening use of voice acting used so far in the MCU, Looking at a picture of Ultron, of course it would be intimidating but its the Voice that sells it.
Spader. I think only one other monologue could possibly top his teaser. Mark Hamill narrating The Killing Joke. I commend Spader though. He has successfully killed the childhood of one generation while narrating the nightmares of another.

For classic Ultron, as a cold machine, Tom Kane, no competition. However, James Spader’s Ultron is unlike previous versions of the character, and is still amazing. Too many of the rest sound like just a typical human bad guy, not a cold machine like Kane’s. Spader’s is human, but a threatening version that embraces charisma instead of pretending like it doesn’t have it.
I'm kind of surprised that Tom Kenny's was the worst. He's usually one of my favourite voice actors. I guess that's what happens when you use unnecessary, generic voice filters.
Sorry, but these trailer-cut voice lines DO NOT do Spader's performance justice. Should have waited a bit longer and used clips directly from the movie.

I'm kind of surprised that Tom Kenny's was the worst. He's usually one of my favourite voice actors. I guess that's what happens when you use unnecessary, generic voice filters.
Sorry, but these trailer-cut voice lines DO NOT do Spader's performance justice. Should have waited a bit longer and used clips directly from the movie.

Tom Kane takes it. The monotone sells it, and his mouth doesn't move. Perfect.
I feel if Kanes voice was a little less robotic it would be perfect. In the meantime Spaders sophisticated and menacing voice suits Ultron perfectly

Spader did the best he could to make Ultron as menacing as possible. It's too bad the character wasn't written so well...
Tom Kane was the best. James Spader was fine, but his character was basically a joke.
