Thank you so much beautiful!! I never had parents growing up so I’m teaching myself how to cook the basics and stuff lol I needed this!!
(Update) my fiancé loved it!! And this is now the only rice I make 🍚☺️
Hey girl! I know it’s been a year but your comment literally made me so sad but I’m so happy that you learned all of these basic life skills to better your future 🥰 SO PROUD OF YOU!
You’re a good person Wendy
@@Rigbyyyy thank you Rigby🥹
God bless ❤
I tried it using long grain white rice and it turned out amazing! Only thing I did different is 1) I added salt, 2) I let it soak for 2 hrs, and 3) I only rinsed it once, since long grain rice is less starchy than short grain rice.
For those who don’t know-rinsing rice removes the starch, and starch helps the rice stick together. So if you’re using long grain rice, excessive rinsing will make it super hard for the rice to stick together. One rinse is enough. Short grain rice is so naturally starchy that even rinsing it 3x is okay.
I'm about to do this because my rice never comes out sticky
If this is true which I’m not doubting you at all because you sound very confident in what you’re talking about, then it’s crazy that this isn’t the top comment!
@@Rigbyyyy It wasn’t as super sticky as I’ve had it in other places, but it was sticky enough to eat with chop sticks without any issues, and it clumped together really easily. I was also able to make rice balls!
That said, I tried tripling the recipe to make a large batch (I like freezing leftover rice) and it turned into mush. So take that as you will! 😅
Edit: Oh, if you were referring to the starch thing-that’s something I learned from other recipes online! I experimented with it myself and found that cleaning long rice less diligently (1x) definitely makes it stickier. When I rinse long rice too much (2x+), it doesn’t clump together at all.
This is gonna sound gross, but I also didn’t rinse it at all once and that was the best I’ve made. 😅
At what moment did u add the salt?
U wrote the same thing for short and long grain, so confused which supposed to use
I've looked for the perfect recipe for sticky rice for so long, and this one looks AMAZING!! Can't wait to try it out! Thank you :)

Great video! love the aesthetic!! Thank youu
I've never been told that the type of rice you use is important so this is great. Luckily I have sushi rice so I can try that. Normally I just use normal white rice. Thankfully I have a rice cooker too so it'll be easier. Thankyou for this video💜
Amazing recipe!!!
Love your accent. It makes listening while cooking so much more enjoyable.

@@ricely_ You welcome, i tried this yesterday with english pudding rice, it works perfect, and pudding rice is also cheaper than sushi rice :-) :-) Thanks ! xxx
Sporting the limited edition peanuts cookware. Nice.
What else would you like to see on our channel? We would appreciate any ideas :)

Wow best video for sticky rice here. God bless
I love sticky rice 🍚 💗
Just found your channel today and absolutely love it ! Thank you so much for your awesome vids 🧡
Thank you!
I tried quite a few techniques, like following the instruction on the rice package, trying different ratio of water, various cooking speed or a few other video advices and none worked.
Yours did. So really, massive thanks to you.
2am and I'm gonna make it
I want to learn how to make this thing I had in poke n ramen that is honestly divine. And I know what it needs.
Boiled egg.
Sticky rice
Raw salmon slices.
Cucumbers.
And SHIT TON OF SWEET TERIYAKI SAUCE!!! YUMMY!!!
By the way, isn't eating raw salmon gonna lead to like salmonella orrrr like maybe other bad stuff? Is it okay to be eaten??
@@IoniB you can eat raw salmon if it's high quality
Looks yummy
Thank you so much !!! For my katsu curry I forgot the sticky rice so I’m so glad you said the other types we could use 🥰🥰

Holy shit this is beyond informative and done in such a cute way :D
Aww thank you☺️

I love that Charlie Brown pot! Where’d you get it?
love from usa
Cool

i must try this.i allvays fail with rice cooking.
I was in Korea back in 2013. The rice was so good there and I can't figure out how to make it
You don´t use any salt for cooking the rice? Thanks for the comprehensive tutorial!!!
Hi, to cook asian rice, can I substitute the white rice to brown ? Will it still work?
😍
Love the English accent
Mine failed, but im going to try it again and again till I get it right
And thanks for not making it complicated, I'm surprised I could actually focus on the video, meaning I found it interesting and worth watching!!
Have a nice day!
So if I don’t have the correct rice grains, i can use any of the three rices or does it need to be a mixture of the 3? Thanks
I used to use sushi rice anyway but i think since i didn't soak it before boiling and i might have had the wrong rice to water ratio tyyy
What type of rise do you have to use?
What is the difference between sticky rice and glutinous rice? Can I use this rice to make mochi?
I really wanna make this but I want to ask does this work on any kind of rice because I don’t have short grain rice :(
Instead of short grained rice can I use long grained rice since I don’t have any short grained rice.?
Can I make this with regular ric
the pot stole the show! PEANUTS!
Can u use any rice like does is matter what rice u use
So we cook the rice with the lid off or on the pan for the 15mins?
No salt or butter? and what should i eat it with plz answer♥️♥️
How do you store it? And how do you cook it again?
She washes her rice .....bless her soul😂
can we use a different rice if we don't have the right kind ?
Hallo please, which kind of rice you did use?
What material and size is the cooking dish please? Looks like a casserole dish. Thickness? Thank you.
One person the ratio to rice and water is two cups of water to every one cup of rice. Is that right?
Can you use long grain rice?
Do I put salt in the rice as it’s cooking or no?
What type of rice is this? And is Jasmine rice good?
can u use glutinous rice?
can I mix sushi rice with brown short grain rice? And is it different in the rice cooker?
Yes, you can! And it's actually much easier to use a rice cooker :)
can I use jasmine rice?
What kind of pot is that?
Can I use any rice?
Does this work with jasmine rice
That's that best brand you can find in the USA?
This isn't sticky rice, it's stickier than long grain, but true sticky rice is sweet glutinous rice.
Where did you get ur pot? Its so cute
That’s what I want to know too
She said that we have to use a Thick pot so maybe that can help you find it
@@queenkaguya4472 thankss but I've already looked for it and i can't seen to find it:(
@@dannaflores8674
Hey! I actually did some research and the Type of pot she has are called Ceramic pots and they’re EXPENSIVE like 40$ and up!
- I looked at other videos and you can still cook sticky rice in regular pots! You can still follow this recipe on a regular pot. Just search up other videos and you’ll see!
What does it mean when the rice floats
Can I do this with brown rice
Yes but I think there is a different cooking time. Just search up on google
No salt or condiments? I want to try tomorrow’s
Can i do this with every rice???
I'd say the ratio of water and rice apples to short grain rice only :) If you use brown rice, you'd need more water when cooking the rice. I'll make another video of other types of rice too in the future!
Does it taste like nothing though just plain sticky rice ? There was no seasoning or salt added so I'm wondering how it would taste
Yes it's just plain rice
@@cecilium05 LMAOO LEE SOOMAN
I am sorry did you say soak the rice in cold or hot water ?my ears couldn’t diffrentiate between both
Cold
I thought I was the only one! Though I heard hot water the more I replayed it aha
intersting in west asia the longer the grain the better. even in rice ads you see they promote it by saying its the longest
should i leave the lid on while cooking on low for 15 minutes?
Yes, leave the lid on until the rice is perfectly cooked :)
