    I have diagnosed ocd, health anxiety, and chronic dizziness and chronic migraines (sometimes vestibular). So I’m one lucky gal lol. I loved this video! Very informative and I feel SEEN & understood.

      So glad you enjoyed this one, Stephanie. You are CERTAINLY not alone in this, but yes- it can feel insurmountable to get better from it. I just want you to know that two of the incredible ladies in my membership community have OCD diagnoses and are at this point both almost completely recovered from chronic dizziness.

    Dr. Yo thank you so much for sharing this interview with Daniel, very informative! I know what he meant about the "waiting for the symptoms to go away" I am guilty of that myself, and I now understand and accept the constant stress of living with a partner that you are not getting along with, and during the pandemic and the lockdown, I can now look back and make the connection of where and why I have this constant source of stress, he/our relationship is a constant heartache!

      Exactly! Until we address these things, the body will keep talking to us.

    I have been out of work since September due to unexplained vertigo. Since I have been asked to leave work I have developed pain in my jaw , teeth, face, head, shoulders, neck and arm. I have been to a psychiatrist, an ENT, a balance specialist, an allergist, a dentist, as well as a neurologist. I feel as though I am constantly reliving a vicious cycle of all my symptoms. I appreciate the insight and the hope to be able to see the end of the cycle. Thank you

      Sounds like you're in the right place, Angela. I see these symptoms spread quite frequently- if you found this helpful, you'll probably enjoy the interview with Dr. Schubiner ua-cam.com/video/YD3_6p9j424/v-deo.html

    I carry so much anger with certain people and past treatments by them and I don't know how to deal with it without becoming outwardly angry to them, I bury it all because I don't want to hurt anyone and I hate confrontation so I carry on being a people pleaser and just bury my true feelings toward them.

      I am sorry , Lesley. It can be very frustrating. Check out this video on anger if you haven't already. You may find it interesting. ua-cam.com/video/MWJ00TtmKY0/v-deo.html

    Thanks so much for this video and interview.. I found it very informative and affirming.. I have been diagnosed with OCD and have done various forms of treatment over the past decade, am currently on medication, and am still experiencing much physical discomfort.. dizziness is the closest way I can describe it, but I wonder for others who experience chronic dizziness, if they are similar.. when mine gets triggered, it usually feels like a sudden rush to the brain, almost as if someone is squeezing it, particularly on my right side, and sometimes the sensation will travel around my head down to my spine. it doesn't necessarily make me lose balance, although it can sometimes.. it can also sometimes turn into migraines/headaches. it also very much affects my cognitive state, where although most people won't notice any difference, I am much more in my head and operating more from a refrained, fight or flight state.. the dizziness would some times last hours to, with lingering effects up to several days; more recently they've been able to subside quicker, but I still experience onsets that last for days.. I am also acutely aware of what triggers it- where as soon as I think of it, or it comes into my peripheral, it is instant. since I was younger, it would often shift from one trigger to the next, but it has been fixated on this current trigger for a couple years now. I've tried ERP, and have not found much success... can anyone out there relate? thanks for taking the time to read. Bless.

      Yes- this sounds like what many other people with neural circuit dizziness experience.

    Thank you for another great intervuew. I have a question., or i would like to point out somethink: i am living with a dizzynest (every day) for a year now... first two months i couldnt cook, walk straight (thats how i was feeling)., my eyes were just feeling dizzy all the time, i was having episodes of panic attecks and big anxiety... i was feeling like my last days of my life are about to come... just 36 years old and allways so active and sporty- but also a person who wanna have everythink under control. And dizzynest i couldnt control- i still can not... after a year and it is making me so sad. I went to therapist, of course also all the doctors to see that nothing is "wrong with me"... but: there is a question: every time when i dig into my histori, my trauma, things that were and are hurting me, i feel even more dizzy- dizzynest come out even harder... and every stress event it makes me dizzy now even more... i was allways good at orginizing things and myself/ now i feel like my dizzynest is controling me. Is it really ok for all of us to dig in the past., if that makes us even more dizzy and sad... anyway, past is behind us, i know what was hurting me., i did open all the "scares" but that puts me in even more dark place... and i feel even worst. What is the "other option"... j just feel like the sport and activitys makes me feel better and more alive., i do read a lit of books and maditade with somatic tracking... but... like i said., all the trauma opening with theraphy is making me feel even more "like shiht".
    Thanks for the answer

      This is a great question. Have you seen Dan Buglio's channel @painfreeyou ? He talks about how he does NOT usually tell people to dig into the things that bother them, and people really can get better if they master the methods that we discuss (we share many of the same views). The difference for me is that when someone truly has unresolved traumatic experiences, it WILL affect that person's health down the road, so I view it as worth working on. That said, I do not think it is a requirement for everyone.

    After finding my Nan collapsed and having to perform cpr on her, she lived for a year then one day she had a seizure while I held her in my arms.
    My new batch of chronic dizziness (i had chronic dizziness non stop in 2015) I believe is a new fear of suddenly collapsing and having a seizure. I've always had problems with health anxiety but right now everyday I have intrusive thoughts that I'll collapse and no one will be able to help me.
    Is health anxiety a form of ocd ?

      @TheSteadyCoach  Рік тому

      Wow, I am so sorry for your loss. I was very close to my grandma and I can only imagine how difficult the loss was for you. It makes sense that your nervous system would then go on to be sensitive to health issues. Yes health anxiety can be a form of OCD.

      I am very sorry to hear this. I do not have many resources specifically for OCD as that is not my specialty. You may look up Jenna Overbaugh, she has a social media following and provides guidance for OCD.
