Hey guys! thanks so much for your patience here as you can imagine this video took a long time, little bit longer than usual to produce but it is here now and still early for the release! I really hope everyone enjoys the video, especially you batman fans ;) See you again soon!
@@jaycorbin6145 2 years later, do you happen to have used any one of both? and if so, which one do you think will work better with medium length straight hair?
Gray Ghost is definitely being added to my collection and I haven't even seen this vid to the end. I like how you added the Batman cartoon theme into this vid. How nostalgic.
Hello, Mike. Got a question for you. In terms of shine, which one feels more matte for you -- Gray ghost or Northern Lights? I believe Northern Lights is supposed to be more on the matte side, but I would like to hear your opinion on this one!
Hey Mike, do you think this product would be good for thick, coarse, long, curly hair? Most products pull out lots of hair unless it glides in like butter
honestly mike i'm addicted to your channel , sometimes i go to watch some past videos , you did a great job of each every one My love and respect from Middle East
Eric I ordered a bottle of it but I’m not sure if I’ll make a video or not. I’m pretty slammed as far as schedule goes for videos but if there’s something worth talking about there I’d be open to it. I guess I’ll just have to see what it’s all about when it gets here.
Thanks for great reviews/ quick impressions over the 2 new products. How do you compare the Grey Ghost to Grim Grease Cream Pomade in term of hold, dryness and washability?
I'm curious how this is compared to The Belafonte. I'm trying to find something to replace Belafonte in my lineup. Lightweight, firm or strong hold, matte or natural finish, easy wash out pomade.
Hey, Mike! Discovered your channel these days. Love it, man. Would be nice to see a video talking about the ingredients of these hair products (alcohol, paraben, etc). Because we have A LOT of products in the market and usually we choose by hold and shine factors. But most of us use it every day and it's nice to start choosing the hair product considering it's ingredients, to keep the hair health. But we need to know the ingredients.... Could you do that for us? Thank you! 😃😃
Del Rei Rock hey man! The reason I haven’t made a video about that is cuz I don’t usually care at all about ingredients. I’ve found through all my testing that most of the time these ingredients were told to stay away from aren’t really that bad. I usually just go by the rule of experience now which is I try the product and if it makes my hair feel good/look good then I use it regardless of ingredients. If it makes my hair feel less than good then I stop using it, simple as that! So far this method hasn’t failed me 😊
Modern Man TV Hey man. Thanks for the feedback. 👍🏻 I’ve been using hair products for about 3 or 4 years, almost everyday. And I think (I’m really not sure) that my hair got a bit more dry after that time and I think it may be result of the products. In a week or a month there is no difference in hair, but after some years grooming, the side effects of bad ingredientes comes up. Or, maybe it’s just my impressions.... LOL
Del Rei Rock if you feel like the products did it I’m not going to doubt you I do think there’s shampoos out there that dry the hair out bad, which is really the only thing I look for but I’ve not yet found a hair product that has done that through regular use. With shampoos for sure- which is why I do my soft hair test, if it makes my hair feel soft and nourished I use it no matter what’s in it. If It don’t then I don’t use it. For styling it’s the same if it styles and holds up well I’m good with it usually.
Modern Man TV Thanks again Mike. What shampoos and conditioners you consider that works best for hair healthy? Any special advice for other products, as oils/sea salt...?
Hans Wurst LoL that section of the video was 48 seconds and if I were to add in the subscriber spotlight it would have been double that and I was just concerned about the already 14 min long video. I’ll have another one in the next review tho don’t worry ;)
I immediately noticed Glory Tale sitting in the corner right there on your desk and I got really impatient for you to talk about it and not just tease it lol
@@MMTV Haha I'm 2:50 of the way through the video, thanks for making the video I was actually really anxious to see it when I got the notification and really eager to see what you thought of these two.
I was so use to the “Music or Misery heavy hold pomade” but they have stopped selling this. Do you think “Gray ghost” will be the closest to music or misery? Or better ? Or do you just recommend something else. ?
Carlos Castillo well... Music or Misery was an oil based pomade and this is not so I’m going to have to say it’s not anywhere near that. You can’t really compare oil based products to waterbased products they are completely different. If you are looking for a heavy oil based look at Lockhart’s, Or Don Juan, Pompking, odouds, those guys make good oil based products.
Modern Man TV thank you for your quick reply. I will look into those. Idk where to start, as it was so hard to find something like music or misery. Thanks again.
well its not like I hated it really, I just didn't feel like it was really firm and or really different than the regular moon paste, which kinda made it a bit pointless for me. But I have thick hair and so if you feel like it will work with your hair you should try it out. I don't wanna try to turn you off of something you were thinking of trying.
Should I buy Grey Ghost when it comes out or should I buy Crystal Lake if I want a medium hold natural shine product? I have a lot of fine hair btw EDIT: I am also going for a modern slick back so I'm not sure which one would be better for that either.
Crystal Lake is a medium holding product on the lighter side. If you want something with shine consider their oil based pomades, the one who knocks is a great pomade for what you're after.
nickdaawgg I’ll probably end up waiting for this stuff, seen as he said it was more of a medium hold which is what i was looking for and has the same finish

Are you styling on DAMP or WET hair
Jahir Conchas check out the video bro. Each demo is labeled for damp or dry hair.
Which do you think is better for extremely thick hair? Northern Lights or Gray Ghost?
Which do you recommend between northern lights, American gardens or gray ghost? New to clays here!

Just placed my order for Gray Ghost!! So excited!! Your review helped so much!!
Man it's 2:34 am here and finally got to see your review brother! Your great and keep up the good work bruh ❤
How does it compares to Grim Grease cream pomade in terms of hold and endurance
Gray Ghost is definitely being added to my collection and I haven't even seen this vid to the end. I like how you added the Batman cartoon theme into this vid. How nostalgic.
Ralph Jacob I know when I heard it was Batman the animated series themed I was like 😮😍 I’m going to have so much fun with this!
Can't wait for the release! This looks great! Thanks for the great overview man 👏
Your hair look very good with glory tale
Great video Mike! Copped enigma and black kraken from slikhaar hyped to try them

Wow love the video.
I'll purchase this product.

Hey Mike awesome review. Do you think you will look at Emulsified Kaolinite by Odoud's and The Pomp?

@@MMTV Just a sugestion but what about one of those livestreams like you did with the Arcadian clay reformulation
Eric not a bad idea!
@@MMTV I also ordered one lol
I ordered as well, finally got long enough hair to use a blow dryer

Owen N Did you ever you Gray Ghost? And if so how does it compare to Grim Grease cream pomade?
is that a chrome heart ring ??
you mean the ring im wearing? No its a silver cross my dad gave me he and my brother both have one too. Thanks for the question!
Can you do a sea salt spray review?
I'm curious how this is compared to The Belafonte. I'm trying to find something to replace Belafonte in my lineup. Lightweight, firm or strong hold, matte or natural finish, easy wash out pomade.
pedantic79 go back and check out the belafonte video and I’m confident you will see everything you need to compare the two 👍🙏
hey mike, awesome video, i have a question. is a sea salt spray a valid pre styler
Yes, but keep in mind it is still salt, so use it sparingly as it is going to make your hair very coarse.
will you review paccinos , the "overhyped" product?
Axel Manuel if they contact me I sure will. My list right now is about 8 weeks long so it’s hard to just jump things in.
Did you ever do a review of Nostalgic Grooming Moon Paste firm? Curious about that formula
Nah I tried it and it didn’t quite meet my expectations.
Modern Man TV thanks! Sometimes the regular moon paste isn’t enough I found Northern Lights works better for me
How does this compare to Arcadian Matte paste? would you recommend this or Arcadian for a person with straight, thick hair?
very different product. I would check both videos and look at the styles produced and decide which one looks better to you.

could you please try Fuertes Styling clay and Apothecary 87??
deepak tulsani there’s already a video on fuertes man, check the past videos 👍 thanks for watching

Oh for sure I just wanted to get you opinion on the paste, I'm just looking for something lightweight a good hold and easy to put into my hair.
I'm new to the hair game and still trying to figure out what will be good for my hair and you have a lot of great info
