One of my favourite LOTW tunes,I had this on 12inch and my younger brother went and sold it at the record and tape exchange in Notting Hill the little *&**!!
This is probably one of the best ever Brit - Funk Instrumentals of all time. Cannot understand why this has not been re-issued on any CD compilations. Also, this is a nice clean copy of the vinyl. Thank you for posting this...10 out 10.
Thank you JazzFunkSoul77 ❤️👊🏾 I needed to hear this again. Every time I listened to The Boys in Blue, my mind immediately expected to hear This is This 😁 Now I can, again 😁 In memory of my two brothers Samuel and Robert ❤️❤️ As Sam always liked to say, if music be the food of love, play on ❤️🎺🎼 God is Love ❤️🙏🏾❤️ Peace, Love and Blessings Everyone 💜💚💙❤️💜
THE BRITISH JAZZ FUNK ROYALS RULING BY PULSATING RIVETING and AWESOME GROOVES THE 🌎 EARTH HAS MUSIC 🎵 FOR THOSE WHO LISTEN 👂 THE MESSAGE IS ALWAYS IN THE MUSIC 🎵 THANKSSSS
One thing about LOTW is that they NEVER made a " filler " track. Every tune was totally A list. They had "London Town" on one side then blew us apart with "Petes crusade " on the other, talk about Double Bubble!! Then they spread their talents in Beggar n Co, Incognito & freeze. Wish those guys the best and ALL those other Jazzfunk magicians who made our clubbing lives one continuous PARTY!!!!
Tottenham, Broadwater Farm riots, SUS laws all the bollox working class Black people had to deal with and still have to deal with to a lesser extent I hope. Great music despite the circumstances. Look how Incognito are today... Massive ongoing success story
Good old sus days I would be walking down Harlesden High St catching the bus for work ..cop car would slowly drive along and a caring voice , would say What you up to this time in the morning you black B###### ....good old fooooking days For the boys in blue 🤭 😱......🎶🎺🎷📯
These were the days when we dressed cool, double breasted shirt , pegs and pickers ( pure itallian ) bowl down to the Royality Southgate, bust some mooves with yer girl, meet up with every one, trade Vinyl, plan how to get to Zero 6 in Southend or Flicks in Dartford, spend all your wages on tunes GOD we never had time to be depressed , life was GOOD!! Today we ve gone back to the stone age!
