My body man got evicted in Florida and I almost lost my car!

- My body man fell into some hard times down here in Florida and didn't bother to mention anything to me about him being evicted from his commercial shop that he rented. In some cases the landowner can claim the property left behind as abandoned property and acquire titles and sell this stuff to pay back rent. I'm not a lawyer but I've heard of it happening to others. This was a close call but the guy turned out to be really nice and gave me the car back with no problems.
So legalized theft of others property.
They can claim it as abandoned property. It becomes a civil manner between you and the shop. Some commercial landlords will absolutely do this.

Yeah and I've known him since he was about 10 years old he could have asked me for some advice and I could have helped him.
Happpens MORE THAN YOU KNOW....I HABE EVEN HEARD OF GARAGES BEING SETUP TO fail intentionally so that classic cars and other high end cars could be "taken" legally in large volume...
You're absolutely right I know of a guy that lost two Corvettes to one shop including a '66 427 big block.

I had that exact same car, same color too, cloth bench seat in front, car drive great and it felt like I was sitting on my living room sofa driving it , I miss that car . Lol
that's a great way to describe it. mine has bucket seats..
I lost my Sedan Deville that way. I couldn't find my car anywhere.
I know lots of people that lost cars this way not only a couple of them managed to get them back.

Tbh, thats why i do my own work. Its not pretty or anything spectacular. But i sleep better at night knowing i will not have these issues
