Mr Michael ! just 10 years you created that fantastic piece of art I cant keep watching on and on, inspired me so much wonder so unreal but just true... you just kicked the art of timelapse. You're a genius, wow :)
I had no idea that you or this channel existed and now that I do.. I'm unashamedly obsessed! As a portrait photographer I have a huge appreciation for landscape, nature, and long exposure photography! I'm beyond impressed with your work! Thank you for sharing these beautiful images with us.
Being a photographer and newbie in timelapse, I can totally understand how amazing piece of art this is.... I've always admired work and have followed it for a very long time! It's difficult enough to capture single timelapse and editing it even so little takes so much more time! Creating this is like Mind blowing!! This is definitely original stuff in it's purest form!!
I have a hard time sitting through most time lapse videos, but this one kept my attention all the way through and it continues to stay in my brain - very nicely done.
Wow, I've been shooting time lapse for 10 years. I've seen so much and had gotten pretty jaded with my own work as well the work of other people, but this is just spectacular. It's like that trip movie "Infinity's Child" meets M. C. Escher meets Baraka.
This song was brilliant along side with the creativity and superb abstract work to display, this song have me spine chilling thrills that also stimulated my mind to picture memories or show me things that relate to the song. Thank you so much.
Stunning video! Make sure you watch it on a large screen rather than a mobile device. I started to watch it on my iPhone and it didn't get my attention. Once I watched it on a large screen, I was mesmerized. I found myself saying "wow" over and over. Big up @Michael Shainblum!
Ooh!!... you just given me an idea to use a kaleidoscope setting on my timelapse videos I've created!!.. thanks for the idea... never thought of doing this before.... amazing video too!👍🏻
This is soooo beautiful! I'd love it if I could buy a copy from itunes. Don't always have internet and would love to have this available to me always. Thank you for the visual masterpiece.
I think I went into it with the same thought a lot of other people might have. I thought 'how could he possibly keep my attention for 4:30 using just a simple mirror effect?' Well sir you have kept my attention and demanded that I watch this video twice. It feels like an animation rather than a mirrored timelapse and just plays with your brain while you try to figure out the orientation and composition. A very entertaining piece man, loved this.
Good job. I'm quite surprised at the result, more often when I hear kaleidoscope and timelapse I sigh, but the combination is more appropriate. Very good editing too, I saw him (personally) with another sound, more and more working staff. Good luck, I'm glad to see a beautiful and good job, it is not given to everyone ^ ^
this is nice, like an acid trip hehehe. i love how you went from cool hue to warm. so many faces. great choice of music. keep it up. hope u make many more.
If you flip your computer screen upside down it is the same video, and If you flip your computer screen 90 degrees, half of the scenes will still appear to be the same... just a fun thing to try out if you are bored.
Well I would have to admit i wasn't expecting that at all. I thought it was gonna be some sort of minecraft time lapse then i saw it and paused it full screen started over and was absolutly mind blown. Ty for the great awsome vid.
I'm working on such effects right now, I happened to see this vid two weeks ago when I was doing my homework / research, and now a friend posted it to me on UA-cam. What I like about this is how it opens new perspectives on a architectural point of view. Plus it's fascinating and gorgeous. I'm working on something totally different (one technique = 2 works) so tell me if you're interested to see more stuff when it's advanced. Best and bravo ! gregory pierre
Great stuff Michael. I've been doing digital photography in this similar style for about ten years now on my site gregsdigital. I always wanted to try doing it in video, so I'm glad to see you've done it and done it well. The time lapse really adds an interesting dynamic to it.
I think the beauty that many are lost , not be more ignorant people who appreciate it , do not care , but at least if there is someone who cares about the magnitude of beauty, and brings it to the world.

Mirror City Timelapse Mirror City on UA-cam now too, in case some of you prefer UA-cam or if Vimeo doesn't run well on your computer.

The combination of the film and the music is almost, hypnotic. Very well done!
I really like the effect. 👍Using video clips make the kaleidoscope more random and each second is unique.

A truly unique work of art. totally cool. I love to watch it again every now and then to see if there was something i missed

Okay was it just me, or did that song just give you goosebumps. I dunno, it might just be cold. But this tune was really nice
Amazing video, great combination with the song, and how perfect you aligned it to the beat!!! AHHH!!! Masterpiece!
This song was brilliant along side with the creativity and superb abstract work to display, this song have me spine chilling thrills that also stimulated my mind to picture memories or show me things that relate to the song. Thank you so much.
