Love that they kept the tree and the stonework cladding combined makes it feel it has been there far longer.
Still a bit... flavorless inside but beautiful all the same, im sure a bit of colour from the inhabitants and it will feel more alive.
Do you live those white foam boards in your concrete? if so, then why?
they are there to insulate the concrete
Awesome work. However, i think 371 square meters is 4000 square feet instead of the 1217 square feet at the start of the video. Just an observation.
whoever that architect was should not be an architect
Sir please make the video even longer I'm down to watch without skipping till end ❤
With some explaining as well 😊
Nice house. Looks like a 70s build from the UK
Greetings from Romania! What I find fascinating is that you guys are using wood structures for the walls, which is not something very common where I'm at. Keep up the good work, loving the content!
#JoshChapman Thanks to the brilliant work shown by you & your crew (& subbies), someone in Upper Hutt has gained a simply awesome house!
Don’t forget to leave the legend a LIKE!😁
I love the build, but I dont understand why the owners chose a gas stove over an induction one for a brand new build D: It feels so out of place
That is so cool, Josh videos aswsome, look forwards to more great videos about building
Awesome cinematography but if there was a running commentary too I reckon your channel would blow up!
371sqm is 3993 sqf.
Damn fine job Josh.
I find it very interesting that in New Zealand they build very similar to the US (Compared to Europe at least) and it's on the other side of the world
Well there is right ways of going about things, and wrong ways of doing things. Lol
Probably has to do with available resources. And in Europe we are very particular: we don't like our houses to blow away or float away.
@@jessicamcintosh652 there are right and wrong ways to build everywhere, there are also true builders and as my Dad used to say, bodgers everywhere
I'm still not used to seeing houses on this side of Wallaceville ... I'm used to paddocks and sheep ... 😳
Hi Josh, love the videos. What are you seeing out there at price per square for a house of this type? Has there been much variation since shortages during the covid period?
How many months did it take to build that house?
Awesome. I prefer you narrating these videos like you did your house build video. Great content. Keep up the good work
Looks great, but would be even better with a piled roof.
Hi, @nzbuilder Josh!
I watch your videos and I like the way you build houses.
Please, tell me why customers choose timber frame rather than steel frame?
Is it high price or something else?
Both price and insulation matter
Why is the wood red?
Do you live those white foam boards in your concrete? if so, then why?
It's called a "rib-raft" slab it's an engineered concrete slab that sits on top of the compacted hard fill as opposed to a standard slab here which has footings dug to solid and maby 100millimeters of concrete through the middle. The rib raft became popular after the Christchurch earthquakes. As they alow the whole slab to move. The white 'pods' add insulation and save on concrete
Kia ora 👌
Your sites are to clean for you to be a real builder
Nice work environment...
My anecdotal evidence says that builders can be clean and organised. They are also cheaters 😅
Clean sites an efficient site.
371 square meters is nearly 4000 square feet (not 1217). Beautiful house though, congratulations from California.
371 sqm house in a 1217 sqm section.
@@ecreviews2568 and I guess "section" is a kiwi word for a lot.
How is the math added up?
Yep, 3993 square feet
@@howardchung4728 10.76 square feet per 1 square metre
They made it all concrete floors, almost nothing left for actual grass. It's very horrible to an almost decent house. Total letdown.
Do you want some cheese with that whine?
@@cp37373 😂😂 hard out like what kind of comment is that though, everyone has there preference and this house is slick anyway, what a left sided comment 😂😂
