- Industrial Gravel UA-cam Channel Meet Up and the Otis-Roubaix in one cold and action packed weekend. Beers, climbs, portraits, bikes, beers, climbs etc. What a great way to clear up the winter blues - riding all over the Akron area on gravel bikes with friends(there were vintage road bikes and mountain bikes too - oh and fat bikes!). Anyways thanks to everyone who came out - don't sleep on the meet-ups next time around!

Great capture! Not sure if I could have survived / completed if I rode on Saturday. Bravo to all who braved Saturday's cold and wind, to yet climb all those hills on Sunday. This was a good day - and it's the people who make it a great time.
We did ride pretty chill on Saturday - but ended up going farther and with a little more climbing tan intended. Great to hang out again!

I love to hear that. I film from the bike because I want to keep riding and be a part of the rides....and that works for my videos on top of it.

I tried the link and it worked - not sure what is up. This can all be weird sometimes - UA-cam made me take down my links to Chrome saying they were "spam" and "against their TOS". Just affiliate links like the others. Oh well - my main goal is to make videos and get people out on bikes anyways.

What do you think your elevation gain was? When I lived in Portland I did the ronde PDX. It was 8000 ft gain in 40 miles. One hill was 28% grade and many in the 20’s.
The strava is linked below but it was about half that. Akron is definitely not Portland.

@krtt750 I organized the chill ride. But I don’t check on what people choose to wear. My rule is be on time or get left behind. None of me and my close friends used to wear helmets - now most of us usually do.

Sure, they are shorter than Pittsburgh's hills but good lord are they punchy!!! It's no walk in the park. Props to anyone that partook!

9:40 I agree Tim! Riding in Summit County for the last 8 years now, the hills and steep roads are for real! Interesting fact, it was named Summit County because the highest elevation on the Ohio and Erie Canal is located in the county.
Ah yes - I do remember that. The spot is close to Missing Falls. I guess the actual highest point in the state is over by Bellefountaine.
