- After some beautiful traveling it was time to get back to bombing around on the Industrial Gravel and all the weird cuts in my home town. All of the weirdness and abandoned Akron glory is on display in this ride. Rust Bel Gravel grinding at its finest.

Bike adventuring across an abandoned gymnasium is bucket list worthy (and a tiny bit spooky) Great video!
I hope someone salvages a lot of that place before the vandals completely destroy it.
Thanks!
Post-industrial apocalyptic adventure riding. Love it!
That’s Akron! Thanks! 😎
Looks super fun.....you captured the freedom of the bicycle well! Your tires must have a good immune system. ;)
Yeah! Those tires actually have tubes in them now - but a bunch of tread(and luck) too.
Need to get caught up with vids. Really digging the music on this one! Some great riding as well!
I love that first tune - all their music is good. Can’t believe it isn’t copyrighted.
I can’t believe Ben found even more new cuts!
@@TimFitzwaterNo copyright music that sounds cool!?!? I'm all over that...
Brilliant! Reminds me of the kind of stuff we used to do as kids. Must get out and enjoy shredding the local streets and trails around town. Fantastic ride 👍
Thanks! I feel like a kid when we do rides like this. Exploring every interesting/strange part of the city.
Was just about to comment the same thing. Good times :)
I'm near retirement age and yes, this reminds me of those early days on my bikes. The age when we start going off on our own, which is why I like this type of riding and exploring.
Out exploring, like when we were all “up to no good” kids? Looks like a blast!
Yeah, those were great times! It's good to be that way again, if only for a moment every now and then 😁👍
Perfection. I would like this a million times if they would let me.
I can't say you guys don't ride enough . Thought of y'all going across the Arigoni Bridge , Middletown-Portlandia , CT river . Today I picked up an awesome Austro Daimler Pathfinder roadie for 100 bucks, barn find , totally, unbeleivably mint. The 45+ year old Austrian Semperit tires look brand new, and still hold air! Amazing. It went in the BOB trailer, sans seatpost , on its back, wheels strapped to the sides. Held down with old inner tubes. ride was about 50 miles round trip. I am so fucking toast. The air is finally sort of breathable. Thanks for making colorful art out of that industrial death zone. Tim makes it up the insanely gnarly factory terrace path while other kid- riders cave, cry and testify. Yep, he's still got it!
Love the freewheeling vibes
So good! Def need to get back up there to ride with y’all again soon
Heck yeah - got new cuts to show ya!
I could watch this all day. Great vid!
Thanks! You'll have to come down and hit some of these cuts one day.
That was most DEFINITELY a EPIC ride. GREAT video. 🍻CHEERS🍻
Thanks!
Thanks for bringing us along on your adventure!
😎
Awesome video. Great sound track. That looked like a fun ride. Very cool.👏👏
A bike should bring out that sense of adventure and the little kid in everyone, rather than just “stats”. If you only focus on beating your last time, and never wondering what’s down that road or path, you’re missing out on life. Great video as always.
100% & Thanks!
rad rollin' glad to gitta glimpse o' the mexican biers finale!
🍻
Looks like an awesome route!
Yeah - some rad cuts on this one!
Now thats a choon!
Wooohoooo! 🚲✳️
very nice
Thanks!
great content big fun ! question: Do you guys always walk the trestles?
A lot of the ones we cross are abandoned and not safe enough to ride - this one there is no point to ride because you can’t get onto it or off it with out hoping off the bike anyways.
So the answer is “most of the time”.
And the ride by the numbers?
Ha! Linked in the description.
whats the first song in the vid?
I have the band linked in the description- the song is called Sylvia.
What is the first track Silvia on the video?
In the description
The tetanus loop?
If you aren't careful!
Nailed it!
Awesome video Tim!! Thats why I ride cuz it makes me feel like a kid again!!👊
“Tim n the Kidults in post dystopian Akron!”
Wow there is a heap of derelict land and buildings. Great ride. Great fun.
Yeah - post-Industrial for sure. Might as well make the most of it! 😎
Kidults, not heard that before, brilliant word. Sums up this style of ride out perfectly.
Thanks for a glimpse into you area’s industrial past. Your capable camera work and crisp editing enhance the story. And the music is fun.
Thanks! It was a great night out!
RIDE it like you're 12, pure FREEDOM
100%!
😆my isp provider dropped yesterday and my first thought was . Shoot! I planned to watch Tim fitzwater videos with my dinner . I so love the first song on this video .
Real friends help you get the sticks out
🏒🏒🏒
You had me with the Fish in the beginning. I want to (attempt) to ride those stairs sometime.
Yeah - I need to try them again. I think its possible. The Fisher is getting a new home and parts swap over at Dirty River.
Great video! The Rust Belt in all its glory.
Thanks!
Absolutely brilliant ride out and great music too. This kind of fun, exploring about on any kind of bike, well maybe ATB bikes, is what's been lost in biking. Sometimes it not about long distance at high speeds or massive air on full sus, for most of us it's just a ride out, to see, to explore.
Any UK viewers want to form a Kidult riding group?
Nice ride!
Thanks!
Growing up near Boston in the 1970’s,we would sneak onto the trains 🚂,go into the City and explore all the abandoned buildings..It’s all developed now..Your videos remind me of those great times..Maybe it’s time to move to the Rust Belt 🏭🏣🏢🕋🧱🚲🍻
The building in the thumbnail is being torn down as we speak. There is a lot around here to explore - though I wouldn't mind a bit of that redevelopment!
Cool video, Looked like a fun ride.
Thanks!
The perfect go anywhere fun machine 😃
Yes!
9:14 GO!!! GO!!! GO!!! GO!!! GO!!!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣
I gave it my best shot! We had never ridden those strange stairs before.
It was a good run. I was impressed!

I’ve noticed that your riding areas don’t have the “homeless camps” that we tend to have in similar areas around my town. Mind you, the unhoused folks around here typically are friendly when I say hey to them, so it’s not a big deal. I was noticing the difference.
Lots of homeless camps where we ride. Same - everyone is nice and we always say hi. We were very close to the city center on a lot of these cuts - the city has been fairly harsh and most of the homeless have moved to places a little more secluded.
@@TimFitzwater this makes sense. it’s one of those things that I notice due to my older brother’s experiences after he had two strokes.
