I am surprised Andorra is getting very little attention on the channel. Sure, it is a tiny country stuck between France and Spain (78K people). But 10% tax, practically crime-free, 4,5% VAT, excellent education for your kids, great health care. Not everyone wants to sip margaritas on a beach in the Bahamas or live in an exclusive high-rise in Georgia, Serbia, or Dubai. Some people, I assume, would love the lifestyle of Andorra with nature all around, fantastic skiing in winter, hiking and biking in summer, and all the great things France and Spain offer a short drive away. Yes, you will need to stay there 90-180 days a year, depending on your visa, but I believe many people could have a great life in Andorra. In short, why don't you tell us a bit more about Andorra?
@@lennykump8396 Yes, you cannot move "just like that." But I think it is not more difficult than elsewhere, to be honest. There are immigration consultants that will help you with dealing with the government in the Catalan language. Then, depending on your visa, you need to put down a bond, from €15000 if an active visa and €3000 to start a business (if that is the way you go). I think the bond is more if you want a passive visa (not starting a company/working there). Children are obligated to go to school, so if you are a digital nomad with kids, it will not work. But if you measure it against any European country, for example, where you can simply move, start a company or get a job, and voila, you got a residency. In Andorra, you need to cash out at a minimum 15K, which is only refundable upon you moving out (in other words, "non-refundable" if you plan to stay). This obviously leaves out a bunch of people - for good and for bad. It makes it difficult for good people without too much cash to come, but also makes it hard for bad people without money to come. I think this is one of the reasons why crime is so low and the safety level thus very high. If one is after a passport, then Andorra is close to an impossibility.
Portugal is a beautiful country to live if you have good money. Unfortunately there is no heavy industry or multinational Portuguese companies (there are some but not like Spain or Italy) It must suck for Portuguese people to go to boring Germany& Luxembourg for jobs.
No such thing as a perfect solution, but you should encourage your government to offer incentives for foreign companies that come to Portugal and create good paying jobs for the locals. A quick Google search tells me the average Portuguese salary is less than half the average US salary. Being told I have to provide "middle-class" and above salaries but get to pay less taxes and still save on labor costs while providing a better life for my employees sounds pretty enticing. The one thing you constantly hear from folks like Andrew is that they want to pay less taxes and are willing to invest locally to do so. There should be more encouragement of this behavior.

As far a citizenships go, one of the things I look at is the nation's ability to provide embassy assistance, while most of the Caribbean CBI countries are well serviced not by their own embassies, but by the British Embassies as members of the Commonwealth afforded such support, Turkey has a very strong network of embassies, much stronger than some countries with better visa free access where you can naturalize relatively quickly. For me, this became a criteria to consider because I have seen videos by several UA-cam travel vloggers who have either lost or had their passports stolen in foreign countries and the process for obtaining a new passport even in a country were you can access the embassy of your nation of citizenship can be difficult. @@samerethsalliman1881 I think you could do very well in Cambodia. I went there originally to experiment with my entrepreneurial proclivities and I found a few other westerners who did the same. There is a great entrepreneurial spirit in Cambodia, and the fact that it's so cheap works as a safety net for you, because you don't have to take so much risk and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars. You can invest small sums and experiment freely without having to worry too much about money. And for that reason, it's a great place to explore your proclivities. I lived in Siem Reap. It was a great place in terms of atmosphere and lifestyle, as it's very touristy. If I were to go back to live, I would personally try my luck in Phnom Pehn. I feel like there would be more to do, more opportunity etc. But that's just me. Siem Reap is a beautiful place and there's lots to do there, especially in the real estate space. I've noticed the real estate industry is really taking off there now. When I was living there, agents were a very rare breed. Now days, real estate agents are becoming more mainstream because there is so much development occurring and people are getting into the market. I wish you all the best, Cambodia is a great place 👍
@@christophertabet5728 Thank you so much sir for all your good words about Cambodia. However, i just would like to tell you that it doesn't mean Chinese people can buy the properties with their own names but people from the west have to have partner. Actually, foreigners can own properties 100% in Cambodia with their own names if the the properties are above ground floor. The government doesn't allow foreigners to own land and the ground floor. However, they can buy land or ground floors if the foreigners own 49%, Cambodian 51%. But because many Chinese pay money to buy Cambodian citizenship through investment that was why you saw many Chinese own properties in Cambodia with their own names. If they a lot of money, they will get more profit from the land than what they spent because the price of the land in Cambodia grows faster than many other countries. Really, the people from the west or from other countries can do the same as Chinese people if they want to. Again, thank you so much for loving Cambodia. Nomad Capitalist probably does all of the above. They should for the price they charge.
We don't handle bank account opening as a standalone solution, but we do handle personal and business bank account openings as part of the overall process.

Does anyone have an opinion about the Republic of San Marino?
It's small.
You talk about taxes & crime etc. but you don't mention health care. I want to move out of US but have health issues that require regular follow up care to live. I need someplace that has good medical. I am willing to buy or carry personal health care insurance. I still want lower taxes & lower cost of living with low crime. but medical is a very big consideration. Any ideas?
Mexico is known for having world class health care. Many US citizens actually take part in medical tourism to Mexico because they can get the same level of care for a fraction of what they would have to pay in the US. Panama also has good health care. Both of those countries are pretty close for visiting family.
Do you know something on Italy's special regime? It's about deducting 70% of tax base for digital nomads/self-employed newcomers. One sources say it started working from 2019, some say, it should be ready this year
Yes, Italy's digital nomads' visa started in 2022

My daughter wants to live in the UK but she wants me to go and live there too...
When you set up a structure in different jurisdictions, how do you move money around without triggering taxes?
Taxes are not automatically collected but are matter of declarations

If I have a domestic corp, would it be cheaper to redomicile or just close it and open offshore.
You don't really "re-domicile" from the US to offshore.
@@torontovoice1 it's not his fault
Thanks for the content! Appreciate the vid, but just one question. Being a US citizen if you were to establish residency within Panama, but you have your company incorporated there, would you save personal on Taxes at all? This includes utilizing the expedited residency program with a $300k real estate investment.
Let's say the company you incorporate sells its services/goods outside of Panama, but is incorporated in Panama

Don't start a business in Italy, there is literally no benefit compared to other countries. As an Italian, our country is the best in the world, but just for a tourist or for who's born rich.
Plan B for Canadians? Americans? English prevalent. Climate, not hot all the time. Reasonable taxes and property prices?
We're looking at Ireland now for those exact reasons. Problem is they seem to be just as corrupt and infiltrated with neoliberals as the USA.

I mean a US LLC with no workers in the US can be a very beneficial structure to use for someone collecting US royalty income who is a tax resident of certain jurisdictions with the benefits of the right double tax treaty with the US. I mean if done correctly it can result in zero tax.
For that to work you need to have no tax liability elsewhere which means that only digital nomads are eligible for that.

The best country to live when you pay no more or less than 25% of the avearge net income towards housing/Renting.
If US imply second level sanction on HK, the banking system first hit, second the financial centre status will lose. Singapore is a second option perhaps? (Business point of view, but Singapore has very harsh law even death penalty in case people break the law)

What is the best place to raise a family?
I could easily live in any of these places if I were single, but with having kids needs are different. Safety is a priority. Quality of education (given I don't want to send my kid to some exclusive private school) and quality of food. Quality of services. Short or long maternity leave. Overall child-friendliness. Health care is important.

I was born in Cambodia. Immigrated to the USA a long time ago. Now an American Citizen. Cambodia is more aligned with Mainland China interest not with the United States. Is it a good idea to get dual citizenship with America and Cambodia?
Im an Aussie and I lived in Cambodia for a couple of years. They are definitely more aligned with China now days, especially when it comes to buying property. I think its such that Chinese people can own property under their names, while Westerners have to partner with a cambodian. Not sure about visas, although I found it very easy to get a one year visa and have it renewed. If you find someone who owns a company or an NGO, you can easily get visas written up for you. Cambodia is a great country, I loved my time there and plan to spend some time there in the future. Nice people, nice food, very cheap and I found it to be very free, providing you have money and mind your own business and not get involved in politics
@@christophertabet5728 Thanks for the heads up bro. I am planning to save up some $25K or so and see if I can survive and thrive in the Khmer Kingdom for at least 2 years. Still have not decided on which Khmer city to settle down, mostly for business and professional reasons. Sihanoukville, Phnom Phen, or Siam Reap? I avoid politics in the USA like the purest form of the modern-day black plague. Even more so, when I am in Cambodia. Anyways, I may get into clothing and embroidery, fishing-related gear and supplies, or even real estate business. Buy cheap and sell higher. Still in the research and plan phase right now. I am also considering Malaysia, Panama, Argentina, and Portugal as well. I will make up my mind in 2 to 3 years.
@@christophertabet5728 Cool! I will definitely put Cambodia on my list!
I hope that you come and spend more time in Cambodia. 🙏
