You should get the charger 2.1 damper installed to make it a lyrik ultimate because upgrades are cool

RCT-3 damper is like a $180 upgrade, 100% worth it!

@@Spindatt supposedly makes a massive difference. Something more cost effective you have to do is get some pink decals for the fork. That would be dreamy
Add a bit of 80w oil in the air chamber, like 3 ccs. They are notorious for this... and yes sand down the scratches.....
Besides the charger update for the damping cartridge, which will feel waaaay better, you could get some cool pink decals. Might as well be Lyrik decals as it will technically be one with the damper upgrade.

@@Spindatt doesn’t have to be. RS already released a new generation of dampers and air cartridges. You should be able to get the current version for around 120,-(€ Euro that is here in Germany 😶).
Great choice in fork. The yari is the same chassis as the lyric so you can upgrade air spring and damper to make it a lyric ultimate. Just need to upgrade the rear shock
i had read that too! after making the purchase of course.. to make sure i wasn't a chump.
That's what I did with my yari. Put a charger 2.1 in with high and low speed compression and upgraded the air spring to the debonair. The fork is absolutely awesome now. A decent rear shock would make your bike perform so much better. X fusion aren't very good
Maybe changing the fork sticker could be a cool idea, I'm pretty sure you can get one that will match the frame

If you ever want to use this fork again. Try putting 5ml of 80WT oil in the air chamber.
I have two Yari forks, 150mm and 170mm with the options of 130mm and 180mm. For my trail bike and enduro bike. Both perform great and are a doddle to service.
Best forks I've had.

The new fork will dive under braking too. They all do that because that's how physics works, unless you have independent high speed and low speed compression adjustment. Then you can reduce it, but still not eliminate it

Isn't the a-c and weight difference due to the Suntour being a 29er fork and the RS being a 27.5 fork?
No the Suntour 27.5 forks just have a larger axle to crown than rockshox and fox for the same travel .
At last a channel that’s not totally about spendings mega dollars just to ride a bike. And entertaining. I might subscribe.

I had a similar experience with a fork, my RS 35 Gold RL started to literally bottom out like it had zero pressure and I almost went over the bars on a ride because of this. I made the decision to either get it fixed or buy another fork, when I returned to the trailhead, a friend was there getting ready to go ride. After telling him what was happening with my fork, he offered to sell me a RS Revelation 120mm for $150 that he had ordered by mistake and failed to return it in a timely fashion....win for me.
I have a Trek Marlin 5 that I've turned into an urban bike. It had the cheapest coil fork on it. I upgraded the wheels, which were QR. I saw a Rockshox Judy fork for sale for $100. But it was a through axle. I almost bought it anyway and figured I could upgrade the front wheel. 2 days later, went on Facebook Market and found an old Fox 32 QR that still smooth as butter for $80. Just bought an adapter for the tapered fork to fight the straight steerer tube and got it back yesterday after having the headset installed and fork cut down.
Sometimes the universe just wants us to go out and ride.
I know the sticker doesn't match, but by a happy accident, I think the colour combination looks really good.

Yari's are pretty solid. I've been running one on my YT since mid 2020.
I'll see if this lasts as long as all my other forks that I have not serviced haha
