That's a pretty interesting video. The Ragazzon exhaust sounds great and it seems to really perform well. The acceleration contest was interesting. The 181hp ND Miatas are not slow, the published 1/4 mile times for a stock one is 14.4. To put that into perspective, that's faster than a stock 124 by about 6/10s, and faster than any actual 1/4 mile result I have seen from a non EC tuned 124 running on gasoline (at an actual dragstrip). I assume Sacha's car is slightly faster than stock, I would think his exhaust does something. At the speeds these cars hit in the 1/4 mile, on tenth is about 1 car length. Eurocompulsion Phase 3 runs 13.8 to about 13.9 pretty consistently so it should beat the ND by about 5 lengths in a full 1/4 mile. That seems in harmony with what I'm seeing here. Well done. Now if his mini has 330hp the124 will need more to keep up with it. EC has stuff coming that will handle that. It's in testing on my car now.
Thanks for the input Greg! And yes I've heard you guys have some things up your sleeves...looking forward to when you do further testing and an official announcement 😁
I also noticed that the Abrath 124 Spider Is faster on All the Major Race Tracks, So I think it's because it out handles the Mx5 Enough to run faster on the race tracks. Not to mention that some think it's a Ferrari California.
I’ve had my Abarth for 60k miles. Had my first major problem last month. Turbo intake failed, 2k to fix. Other than that it’s been more reliable than I expected, and it’s a blast! Head turner too.
Thanks! Yea I've seen the GT, but it's not available in the USA, neither is the carbon hard top option. You can buy it separately but it's crazy expensive. Or some aftermarket companies make their own version. Still doesn't look as nice as a RF style though 😁 If they didn't stop producing the 124, maybe they might have done something like that lol
Nah , from a stop the MX-5 would jump ahead. Those pulls in 2nd gear have his turbo spooled so yea the 124 is in the happy range. Plus the RF is the heavier ND model. Get a soft top MX-5 Club from a stop & I think the results would be much different. Also take off the mods on the 124 because the MX-5 does not have them. If you want to compare these cars stock Abarth Vs Club soft top.
Yea I love the steering wheel! Lol And I do want to do something custom with the seats. Not sure if I will go with Recaro, but I would love to add a bit of red to my seats...especially after going wide body and full wrap soon 😬
That nd2 weighs over 2600 pounds cuase its hardtop, soft tops weigh less, and that fiat has a full exhuast system that opens up the turbo alot while the NA remains underpowered on rolls, do a dig and I promise it would be a closer race still fiat would take the win at the long run but it would be a much closer race
@johnrookjr it's on the side where you open your door the sticker on mine said 2767 total weight with front end having 1429 and rear having 1338 pounds
SOLD! Maybe. My ND2 RF was such a great track car. The “maybe” is that I would hop in it to go to Target just to Rev to that 7500 rpm. The ND2 is so fun on EVERY trip. S2000s, Golf Rs, and WRXs couldn’t keep me back due to my higher speed entering the straights (through the turns). But I want some more power, and for the ND2 I still haven’t been sold that it exists. I don’t want to lower the redline! I’m torn!
Both nice cars, but the hard top on the Miata adds about one hundred pounds to it, so a more fair comparaison would have been with the soft top model.
I wonder what the drivers weigh. Maybe the driver weighs more.
The stock 124 weighs about 100 lbs more than a soft top miata, so this is a very fair comparison.
I doubt it weights that much, the hardtop for the 124 only weights about 36 pounds
@@Chilicharger665except for the fact one has a tune lol
I Agree the Mx5 looks great from the Front
But the back looks junky in my opinion
Yeah. If it did double round lights (like a Ferrari?) or a single horizontal light like a Porsche, it would be more appealing
I don't know man i think they fit the desing

Also anxious to hear!

Great to hear EC IS WORKING ON
IMPROVEING THE SPIDER
My Eurocompulsion Phase 2 tune is as well faster than a ND2!! Proven!!
Man. That steering wheel is sick in your Abarth. I love mine but the seat needs to be at least an inch to two inches lower for me as I am 6'2.
Lowering rails made a big difference for me. The windshield frame is no longer in my eyeline.
How reliable would the Fiat be vs the Miata? I'm interested in both.

Bit late but the abarth from what I've experienced and seen it is really reliable
@@Chosenhunter77what is a turbo intake?
Both are reliable and have lots of tuning potential
Nice vid bro.
A carbon hardtop is availlable as an option for the 124 (comes as stock on the 124 GT).
The car just looks sick with it 👍

What a waste of time , total mismatch , tuned to feck Fiat v. near standard Mazda
Great race

My RF weighs 2380 pounds without driver of course. Where do get the information to this enormous weight?
I thought it said 2470

Next…..put a turbo and EC tune on the ND2 and try it again😄✌🏼
Great Abarth

MX5 driver seemed like a sore loser. Got totally blown away and he thought I'm wasting my time here.
They should have stopped after the NB Mazdaspeed. This is a damn disgrace.
It’s actually faster than the NB MazdaSpeed. The ND2 is AMAZING…This Fiat is just tuned. It’s not slow at all.
NA in Miata is crap.
looks illegal..
