On the inside you will now be greeted by a 12.3in infotainment screen and more passenger volume. Powering the Accord is a 2.0L inline4 hybrid engine. Lol duh, no brainer. No one really drives altima anymore. Only Camry and Accord are the only viable choice for a mainstream family sedan nowadays.
Altima is winning with the looks and the power though.
@Jeringazzz no one cares about power for a family sedan, you're not racing. Families care about efficiency and paying less at the pump. Looks are a subjective thing. Some like it, some don't.
I think that Honda has taken a step back in styling. 😮
Honda has taken a step back in everything. This car is short too many features at this price point.
@@deman19901 what do you think is a better option for the price>?
@@Shane-un8pe The aging Camry followed by the Koreans. I am never going back to anything without a 369 camera or not having a panoramic sunroof. That's unacceptable for an all new 2023 model. I am not even going to get into the limited powertrains.
@@deman19901 I agree, Honda is powering their cars with motors as strong as the cars from 1990s (192hp) is a joke for 2023. The styling is taken back about 20 years as well. Horrific car.
@@Abercrombemonkey No 360 camera, no panoramic roof, no available AWD equals no sale. The new Camry just made the Accord DOA. The Koreans are beating Honda on features. As of late, the Koreans are beating Honda on reliability as well. Honda is now the company of bland SUV's
An Accord priced at $36000?!! Wow, have the times changed rapidly since the pandemic!! We're definitely living in a different world now.
In 2019 the Accord Hybrid MSRP was $32,640 and in 2023 it's now about $34,085. So a difference of about $1500 in 4 years time... Top trim Accords have been around $36k for several years my friend. You can still get base level trims for about $28k
@@shojus What you're boneheadedly failing to put into consideration is the fact that most dealers are adding thousands of dollars of "market adjustments" which are blatant markups, whereas consumers were usually able to get pretty sizable discounts off the MSRP prior to the pandemic, so the actual prices paid for the cars were vastly cheaper. I actually don't understand the likes of you that object to others' observations just in order to object with no real substance or basis. I would spend my time and energy elsewhere if I were you.
@@seekthetruths22 Just paid $1581 off MSRP on a Sport-L as well as another $1000 military incentive (NO add-ons). Every dealer in my area are selling them at or under MSRP. I agree that incentives were better before COVID, but I stated facts. The price went up by $1500 over a 4 year period based upon MSRP. If someone chooses to do business with a garbage dealer and pay OVER MSRP, than that's just plain being stupid.
@@shojus Not sure where you're located and I could care less because I'm not even on the market for an Accord right now. But in most regions of the US, there still is some hilarious dealer gouging going on and that's a fact, so don't make it sound like your reality is everyone's reality. Only really stupid ones think as such.
Just saw two accords next to each other. One was this new generation and the other was the previous generation. Personally, I think the old one looked a thousand times better.
The new Civic looks A LOT better than this pathetic vehicle.
The last gen rear was so bad though. Hated those stapler lights
Lobster my 2.0 turbo kills this one
The last generation was ugly and looked like a tortoise. This is way better looking, no weird angles, very clean design, very European and sophisticated

@@chrisOG305 that’s what I said when I saw it at the dealership. The grill, the wheels It looked like a 2018 hybrid ugh
They could have at least made it look sporty and some aggressiveness.
50 year old moms and dads don't like aggressiveness, that's not who they are targetting.
@@RKO859True. That being said, I was surprised at how much better the new accord looks in person than ins vids and pics.

Great vid once again Joe. These are starting to hit the roads here in Southern CA
I think it's about $4,000 overpriced for what it offers
They nerfed the spare tire, the side mirror markers, no rear vents, no rear map pocket, no fog lights, no exhaust tips, the reverse camera is like 10 years old (it's the same resolution as my 2013 Accord)
Looks good, but very conservative and long. It will sell like hotcakes nonetheless
Honda isnt about leading edge. Their target is for mid-age buyers with families. They want simplicity and no issues for a long time. Those features you just mentioned, more than half of accord buyers couldnt clear less about foglights or rear vents or high camera resolution.
@RKO people like you thinking is the reason its overpriced. Give less pay more. All of a sudden Accords are reaching 40k.
@@RKO859 That's great, so why did the price go up then despite those features being removed? 🤔
They didn’t nerf the spare tire. The honda hybrids haven’t had a spare tire in years…
No rear map pocket is standard in most new cars behind the driver only. It’s a safety concern.
Fog lights are cosmetic at this point. No real reason to have them anymore.
The rear camera resolution is DEFINITELY better than your 2013 and I can confirm this, because I have a 2015 Accord and test drove the 2023. It’s so much better on the 2023
yup. Accords can touch 40k and no more 2.0T. I get that these are midsized cars not targeted for younger buyers but they used to be. When they had the V6 Coupe, 2.0T sport trim, they were appealing to younger buyers. This new 2023 accord lost it all. Now its just a practical, boring car for a middle aged dad or mom.
Hard to believe no AC/heater vents for the backseat passengers. Also no Homelink or rear dimming mirror. I have to have both. Honda really short changes you..
No: the homelink and auto dimming mirror you CAN get, you have to buy the on top of the car. It's just not standard
@@carljohnson7no excuse for missing back seat vents

Watching now bro 😎🔥
They neutered the Sport. The old one at 250 hp was the sweet spot.
The 2.0T didn't sell a lot, so they took it out. Why keep making them if they don't sell a lot of those. Now Americans are pushing for gas efficiency vs overall power
thats not why they took it out. they took it out to push sales on the acura tlx as it barely sells. because why get a tlx 2.0T when u can just get an accord with the same power and a decent interior too?,

Good review video on Honda 2023 sedan sport
Hey Joe! Another great video! I always look forward to your reviews!
My main gripe is the styling, ik ik everyone says their meant for middle aged buyers looking for a point a to b family hauler. But the last gen did a good job at attracting alot of new buyers with its sportier design, this new model plays it too safe imo, looks very bland and boxcutter
Does this trim REALLY have blinkers in the mirrors? I saw that small light but I thought they were missing on this trim?
What up Joe? Accord time!
I come from Infiniti G37 and Q60 to making the switch to Honda. Just got the 2023 Accord Sport L in urban grey last week. Its my first time in a hybrid and a 4cL engine for that matter. Honestly I like it, its refined looking while having a sporty edge in the sport L trim with the blacked out accents. I like everything about it , except for it not having blind spot monitoring, Rear air vents should be included but i dont care as im always driving alone. While i enjoy the pull of a robust V6 engine, for a hybrid its qwick and smooth. I am also going to enjoy the fuel economy and non-premium gas saving.
i miss the accord Coupe!
HEY JOE, I NEED SOME HELP!!! there’s a video you made this year feb 2nd ish 2023 that was comparing the honda sport to another car. i got kind of confused on which is the honda sport and which is the honda sport-L from the titles. could you make a video comparing the two? 👀 or maybe retitle that february one you already made! please and thank you and hello from california!
That color is off da chain
Wait, how does the Accord infotainment screen blow away the Altima? The both have 12"+ screens.
Overall, the Altima imo has more interesting styling. As I've said before, I just find the new Accord to be bland, and I can't bring myself to like the front clip. If they'd of thrown a little Acura zest into that front end, it'd of looked nicer.
All they had to do was keep the 2.0T. but nooo, we need EPA brownie points.
(Should have kept the fit, or bring in the Honda City as the economy car)
@Brian Lee The "H" on Honda stands for "Has been". Their reliability is among the industry AVERAGE.
The Altima is just a 9th gen Accord, refresh. There, I said it. '16 and '17 sport.
Great job
3 things to make it perfect: Take away those fake shifts & noises and make it into a convenient HB . Even better in sportback form with a tailgate and no rear overhang cutoff like any HB version of a sedan .
❤❤❤ great job
Hey Joe! Can you do the 23 Accord EX-L? Haven’t seen to many videos on that one. Thinking about getting that model.
In the past the EXL has always had Homelink.. I don't know if they do anymore.. Honda has really cut back on things that should be standard.. That is one of my favorite trims as well.
That's the one I got! Better than the Sport and Sport-L. Parking sensors, rear A/C vents, USB-C charging ports in the rear, and heated side mirrors are included, however sport wheels, sport-accents, and sport-related accessories are excluded. You get 17" rims instead (same as the EX gas model), but better fuel efficiency 51 city/45 hwy. Getting 48-50 mpg average.
@@MikedaLuffy90 Does it have the Homelink?... I heard someone say they we're not putting it in like they used to? I know the past generation had it in the EXL and Touring..
@@charlesjackson1700 Correction. It does have Honda Homelink. While fiddling with the touchscreen, it was on the 3rd page. Haven’t used it though.

Does this Sport-L have color changing ambient cabin lighting?
7:42 - please confirm: is that the accurate 0-60 time? Haven’t seen it published and others have said it is not a quick ride. But 0-60 in 6.2 seconds is amazing when you’re getting around 40mpg!
Definitely not 6.2 seconds, Hondas acceleration isn’t tested often because of how slow they’ve become. Journalists would rather shill for Honda than tell the truth
love Joe's reviews but he's usually very optimistic with the 0-60 times. other reviewers who actually tested it got around 7.1. still not terrible for a larger sedan w/ hybrid, but not fast enough to pin you back.
Same. Everywhere else says 6.6-7.2 range. If it was 6.2 I'm sold. I test drove one, definitely feels closer to 7 to me compared to my v6 altima, but i didn't time it
Great video. At 19:57 was yellow car a Cadillac allente?
I got the Sport-L trim and I love it. The the touring trim just isn’t worth the extra cash in my opinion. Never cared for wireless charging, don’t care about the extra USB-s in the backseat since I’m always driving alone and lastly, don’t care about cooled seats. I really just wanted the leather seats and the black accents and wheels. The touring trim just looks worse without the black trim haha.
Lolz One ugly car 😂
Does the Sport-L have color changing ambient cabin lighting?
I mostly agree with you. The Sport L looks way better with all the blacked out trim, but I think the cooled seats is a must have in certain parts of the country.

I think it looks like the old guy from the movie UP drives it. I really don’t like how the accord isn’t all wheel drive. I think that should’ve been the big difference the accord and civic. I also think it’s time for manufacturers to start redesigning the sun roof. We get the same one every year for the last 30 years 😅
I'm likeing the opening and closing filter's at the front I like the black spoiler !! & prop rod I like the way you can fully open the bonnet I like the dashboard and the screen heated seats okay
The car looks good from the front and the rear. That side profile though, it's so plain Jane when you compare it to the Altima or Camry.
And not having the 2.0 turbo, just another letdown. Not everyone cares about a few miles per gallon and would rather have a little performance.

I love the black rims but the black mirrors look dumb. Black grill hides the boring front. The dark interior burns in the summer . Good luck finding the dark garage opener when it falls in the black floor at night! You will need a flashlight handy with that all black interior. Aluminum pedals pop in the camera and wish they had more aluminum throughout the black hole interior. I suggest wearing khaki pants next time to help your camera focus.
I love my 2023 Altima 2.0 turbo.. my friend have a 23 Accord touring. It’s nice but I don’t like the design or lack of power
I like the full service mode hood lift. Makes it a lot easier to do work on it. Its a lot slower, than the last generation, but probably gets better gas mileage and ride comfort.
Nissan has not moved forward over the leaders in this class, i e. The accord and the Camry. This model here is the sport L trim, leather seats and the matted black wheels , the front grill is to plan, assignment for the Junior designer team! Too the next door panel please 🤣 I have an accord with 197k miles, I just don't have any problems with it at this time. Good review Joe 👍🏽
Accord is UGLY 😂
Too many features missing for the price being asked. Im sure they will get a pass just like Toyota does.
Depends, many brands spend money on not as necessary stuff but lack basic things, like reliability & it'll cost you more in the end & resell value
Not really a fair comparison. A Camry at the same price bracket (XSE/XLE) would have many features that this "new" Accord is missing (panoramic roof, cooled seats, heads up display, etc.).
@Sawyer Martin I was not referring to equipment.
in the video description, model year litteraly mentioned as "twenty twenty three"🙂.
This one only needs the Bose audio system that is in the touring to be perfect, at least they can offers it as optional but I think people that want “sport” also care about a good audio
Also why it doesn’t have usb ports in the back? My 2022 Accord Sport SE has those, I’m surprised to not see them at this price point
Not sure how a wireless charger isn’t included given the price. It’s not a deal breaker, but expected things to be standard. No pocket behind the seat either, odd choice. Backseat vent on the center piece, no usb. Just missing things that imo should be there for $36k.
That is a tough pill to swallow.
I'd rather not get the radiation thank you. Oh wait you're already getting your nuts radiated from that ridiculous giant hybrid battery!! EV FTW (cancer)
Honda should have had at the very least a different front end for the new accord, second of all, two map pockets, because one pocket makes the car feel cheap and lastly, rear AC vents.
When will people realize that nearly all cars are removing the driver side rear map pocket? It is a safety-related design choice. Every new car I see doesn’t have one on driver side…

Hi Joe, I love the Honda Accord and even though this isn't intended to be a lucury car I love it.
I like the color and the black rims but they went backwards. I wish they had the leather option for the 10th gen sport because the cloths seat stain so easily.
Only Honda could get away with losing 70hp, losing the manual transmission and adding a CVT transmission and STILL be considered a great car. Can you even believe it? Imagine if the Corvette lost 70hp and tried to sell it for the same or more?
Honda needs more interior colors!
