Such a nice tight sound to this guitar, sounded great when you were playing in the beginning - mid video but man ol man when you plugged into the peavey it was just like 🤯🤯🤯 another great video Neil!
@@NinecoreNeil I'm very very tempted my friend! And if anything this video is making me want one that much more, a lot of bang for the buck with this in my opinion
Dam that guitar looks awesome. Great review/demo Neil. Some sweet riffs 🤘🤘🤘 I got a Schechter Riot 4 bass about a year ago and a big reason for choosing it was how comfortable it felt. Helps that it looks sick like this one with the see through matte finish. They're around $2,300 in Australia. Purple looks bloody good as well.
Great playing brother. Schecters are just my brand. I haven't played one that I don't like. I'm currently hunting down as many Korean made schecters as i can, as I think they are some of the best guitars around. Having said that, I have an Indonesian one that is also excellent.
Yeah this is up there with a Korean build I’ve not played an Indonesian guitar this good before ,I still have the Evil Twin on order too can’t wait now
Nice playing and video, man. I'm glad you brought up the fret size, as well. I've got an Ltd guitar with extra jumbo frets, and they are super wide. I've been looking at some schecters, but it's probably been closer to ten years since I've played one. I'm just wondering if the schecter frets feel more tall than wide compared to esp/ltd XJ frets
I just got one and the strings are buzzing like crazy! I had to adjust the FR cos it was way too tight with the back end dipping. Was hoping that would get rid of the fret buzz but it's still there 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ any tips
@ if I were you I’d take it for a set up small quarter turns at a time are best with truss rods These guitar are meant to have super fast and low actions but you don’t want too much buzz if it’s affecting sustain
Excellent demo & review, and great playing too. How does the width & thickness of the neck compare to the Wizard necks (original Wizard, Wizard II, Wizard Premium, Super Wizard, etc) on Ibanez guitars? If the neck on this Schecter feels like the Wizard necks I'll probably buy the Banshee GT. It looks and sounds fantastic.
Hey man. I’m looking to get this guitar. But how’s the fret buzz? I real a lot of reviews but is it something a proper setup would fix if it came with it?
Depends how low you want the action I lifted it a touch, you’ll always get some buzz with a super low action.A good set up should balance out any buzz it’s about the truss and the bridge height and getting that right. The guitar is ultra fast mate I love it
The frets on this guitar stick out so much that it hurts trying to play some of my go to licks. They say its built for speed but its not. Its a hard guitar to play and annoying Try playing it standing up let me know how you forearm feels after a a couple of hours. The body sticks in to your forearm unlike any guitar and not in a good way. here are the positives, it sounds like an absolute monster, the lead cuts through anything. Sounds great for studio and looks great. Also if you like really low action, forget it. you can only go so low with those big frets.
The frets were great and so was the build on this one,I had to lift the action it was so low so my findings are virtually the opposite to yours I’d recommend a pro set up 👍 It’s a shame you don’t like the guitar but if you like the tone a set up should fix the issues you have
@@NinecoreNeil I sent it to the company and they set it up. I ve played 2 of them now and the frets make sliding on it super annoying. I want to have them filed down, but is it even worth it? it is a shame because i love the neck, it makes bending on it effortless but those frets on both guitars i played are too high. Maybe yours was built different.
@@alxk78 right they will be jumbo frets I know what you mean I’m a medium guy myself for this reason a larger gauge usually sorts that out or at least helps

2:40. 100% agree with you. I bought a Schecter awhile back on marketplace and as soon as I picked it up I was in love. And then I plugged it in 😍
WHOA, NELLIE!!!! That thang is GORGEOUS, and it sounds INCREDIBLE! Stellar video, as always!!!
Cheers buddy yeah it’s a great guitar I feel the need the need for the purple one 🤣
This was awesome great looking and sounding guitar considering your injury your playing was killer
Thanks mate almost didn’t upload it because of the playing it was a bit scruffy but just passable

To be honest the mic wasn’t the best position but yeah it’s a very tight guitar I’m tempted to try it in drop c ,you have to try one mate

My Banshee FRS mach 6 is with xjumbo stainless steel frets and Sustainiac & Seymour Duncan JEff Loomis Blackouts
Made in South Korean the tone is superb and high sustain harmonics and I have to dump my Jackson USA away in the storeroom

That’s a tough one to call ,ESP are sends my me some guitars later in the year so I’ll do a better job of answering this then
It a great riffer! Happy Metallica Day!

@@Nomasiac sounds like you need some relief on the truss rod
@NinecoreNeil Thanx!!! Anti clockwise is to loosen right? I'm pretty much a novice on gtr tech. Also is there a limit on turning the rod? 🤔

Beautiful guitar, but it is made in Indonesia, What about the quality control? How it compare with the Korean made?
Watch the unboxing bud

It’s kind of in between a Jackson and Ibanez
There’s so many Wizards I’ve lost track but it has a similar size overall in the hand
@@NinecoreNeil Thanks for the info, looks like I'll eventually add this guitar to my collection! 🎸
Doesn't that Banshee have extra jumbo frets? That will also greatly improve speed. Beautiful axe bro.
