Today I saw 2 dogs interacted with each other alone near Dakota Forest with no one around. It surprised me as i’ve been playing RDR2 for over a year and it was the first time today that I have seen it.
I think they secretly add these new details in new updates

I’ve seen that three times in less than a month, two times in Rhodes near the train station.
I found the same ecounter in the same place! I thought the dogs were bucks fighting tho until I got closer

completely unrelated but when my dad was hunting once when he was young he actually saw two dead deer carcasses who were fighting then got their antlers locked.

i one day had a camp near a group of horses in red dead online , i lassoed one of them and rode him to my nearby camp where i sticked his rope with these wooden bars so he could n escape , once i went a bit far from him , i noticed that his group of horses comes to him , i kept scaring them but once i went quite far from them they kept returning to him and playing with him , lol that was so cute i released him again

I'm still a bit surprised that considering how much horses are involved, that there aren't any wild ones bickering like they often do, no wild stallions fighting over mares. The most interesting thing I saw wild horses do was roll in the dirt, other than that they just grazed idly. Was kinda disappointed when you compare the level of detail that went into the other wild animal animations lol

I think its probably because all of the programming in horses went to riding them, feeding and all the details
wild horses actually interact quite a bit in the herds. sometimes theres one horse that leads the herd when theyre travelling, such as a stallion staying behind to push the rest of the herd. but yea, other than that im a bit disappointed that the stallions dont fight or have bachelor herds and what not. but to be fair, the wild horses are just domestic horses turned loose or born loose.
I seen some pretty cool things that the horses do only like once or twice up in tall trees

Nah GTA 5 is. The constant npc interruptions in rdr2 kill the flow of gameplay. I don't care if your horse died lady im finna get a new outfit with these pelts.

On my first playthrough I got stranded in the fields near Valentine and had to walk for hours trying to get back to camp and I came across a deer that someone had barely shot and just left there. When I was walking toward it I saw that another deer was desperately trying to wake it up so that they could run away but when it saw me as I got closer it looked up and ran away. I thought that was so incredibly detailed and sad. I still remember that whole thing vividly.
The level of detail in rdr2 is amazing that the muscle of the buck is moving in minute 3:38

I remember spawning into a game one time and it was up in the snowy regions; I just walked a couple of feet down the mountain and I saw like 2 or 3 wolves playing, that was cool 😎

The rarest one by FAR is wolves hanging out and playing. You can encounter this near Cotorra springs before you kill their legendary pack leader. If you stay far enough you can watch them through your binoculars. If you approach them they will flee. Which is actually, normal Timberwolf behaviour. After you kill their pack leader they will become aggressive.Also if you shoot entangled bucks free, and manage not to kill the victorious buck, you will gain honor.
The saddest animal scene is riding through town and running over a dog and making it whimper till it dies of blood loss, it almost made me cry

The level of detail rockstar put into their games is honestly one of the most impressive things for the gaming generation. The one where the two bucks are locked horns and one is already dead. If you look at their eyes the one that is alive looks “alive” the eyes are black and looking around and glossy. And the dead one is still and greyish with no blinks or movement at all very impressive because not many people would see this as it is let alone look at their eyes. Wow rockstar just wow
Have to say...after rdr2 im very curious to see what will rockstar do with gta 6
I think inherently the gta games have to be lower res because they have to render and animate so much more. Entire cities of people and cars, more building more everything and that takes up a lot of power that isn't going into making everything look pretty. Red dead is small towns no cars and a lot of open space between them so they can do all this.

@@bigjavo36 yeah the amount of cars and peds take a lot of rendering, but i would argue it’s pretty equal to rdr2, go to the swamps and just see how many gators you can spot at one time. you’re basically crowd surfing on them. and if you go into saint denis, there are tons of peds in a pretty small city. don’t get me wrong, GTA V’s open world is incredible, especially for when it was released, and holds up well-i mean i’ve played SP through like 10 times in the past couple years, but the draw distance and scope of rdr2 is absolutely fantastic and i haven’t seen anything like it. whatever rockstar releases next is gonna be crazy
This game never ceases to amaze me. I’d be embarrassed to admit how many hours I’ve spent in this game, story mode alone and I continue to see amazing details like these that I’ve never seen before. The amount of detail in this game is astounding. It’s the only game that when I play it, I almost forget that it’s a video game.
I've seen the bear one and the eagle one on the game it's so cool! In the snow where the white araibian is, on the lake I saw some wolves fighting a grizzly bear! So flipping cool!

I remember back in 2018 when RDR2 came out, my brother, who never really is a big gamer, was on nonstop on the dead dead campaign and i never really was interested. Fast forward a year later and I start playing and realize how much i missed out on. Since then i’ve gotten like 98% on campaign and i’m still blown away at how beautiful and realistic this game is. I’m not a big fan of rockstar and their business practices, but this game is a treasure.
Yeah, Red Dead is one of a kind, just wish Take Two and Rockstar would actually take time to develop good online features

Is it sad that I’ve played this game 7 times? playing right now on my eighth 😂. Every time I do a different thing first time I just played it however, second time I played high honor, third time I played low honor, fourth I played based off of money so Arthur’s actions were all based off of money, fifth I played for the gang so all of Arthur’s actions were to benefit the gang, sixth i really just explored a bunch, seventh I played realistically so all my actions were supposed to be realistic and based off of the story, and right now I’m currently back to high honor Arthur 😂. I tell you, I still haven’t got bored or tired of this game. Best game I’ve ever played.
And I thought I was crazy 😂

One day I shot a bird out of the sky and went to go collect it. I didnt collect it because a hawk literally swooped in and stole my bird! I tried to chase it down but it flew too high
I did not expect to see two male deer locked up at antlers. this game never stops amazing

RDR2 is one of , if not *the*, most detailed games out there. All these small details they didn't have to add but they did anyway. It was honestly worth the 10 year wait.

I've seen it happen with both a pack and a single wolf. The single wolf one threw me off because a normal wolf wouldnt try and fight a bear alone 😂

When you wound a deer it runs and slowly dies crying. Just like in real life.
It happens with most animals in the game, you can tell its gonna die soon if you see blood coming out of the gunshot wound without stopping.

The cougar hunting is new to me, but i always knew every predator should hunt, my friend said he once saw a panther by braithwaight manor hunting a wild boar, never seen that anywhere, not even on youtube but i believe him

Last time i was playing i was turning my deer and perfect cow skin to the trapper and i encountered these to rams fighting

probably because we aggravate the cougar, more realistically since the cougar is just hunting it wouldn’t go full power unless needed.
I’ve seen two wolves play with each other.
Seen couple of these.
But one with cougar hunting and bear catching the fish then eats didn't.
Wish i could find the coyote catching the squirrel like in 1st trailer.
I actually saw that yesterday! I was outside Clemens Point trying to find people to lure to my camp to do the gang followers glitch and saw the coyote chasing the squirrel. I was too close though and the coyote ran off when they passed me.

Not even 50 yards from camp I come across a grizzly bear chasing a wolf thats chasing a black bear. Needless to say I killed all 3 but I found it wild.

I haven’t seen any of these except the bird picking up the snake. Well, technically. I was doing the challenge where someone asks II to shoot bottles for some money, and after you shoot the bottles have to shoot some bird. I shot a random bird and I saw 2 animal death icon with it. So after I was done, I looked over to see a snake and a bird.
i used to think that far cry primal had the best interacting environment , but rdr2 is just something else

I don’t think this game will ever be beaten, I think only rockstar and the Housers could have achieved this. Or have the patience and budget to achieve it.
There’s one you missed : I’ve only ever seen it twice in four playthroughs , but foxes and coyotes will chase down rabbits and you can see them run off with them in their mouths
I encountered the one at 2:18 while in New Hanover, enjoying the night when I spotted this. I didn't think about it too much and carried on. I never realised it was Ultra Rare.

The buck fighting the dead bucks body was a rare sighting ive seen that happen the whole time ive been doing story mode and always continued on my journey and ignored most animals cause i either get ambushed by wolves to the point my horse throws me off its back or im riding down the track on a nice horse ride and then i get chased by grizzlies and cougars and i cant forget about those damn wild pigs or boars whatever the hell they are when i go to try to chase one down them lil fujies led me straight into a wolf pack and......i died .-.
