I used your video class on air brakes to obtain my CDL permit. I aced the air brake endorsement thanks to your excellent classes, parts 1 and 2. Once i got the conceptual part, everything fell into place. I was watching this video anticipating my practical skill driving lessons. Wish that I could attend your school but I live on Long Island. Thank you for helping me get my permit. You're a great teacher.
I saw a lot of your videos and today I passed my test, Thank you so much !!!! You are a Great instructor. Hands down
Thanks Jonathan! Congratulations on passing!
68 people failed too turn their key on and failed then hit dislike tisk tisk.
Thanks for the best explanation I've seen yet
Just started school & I am very nervous but Determined to pass. I know absolutely nothing about trucks period but I’m going to get there. Thank you so much all the way from Virginia 🙂
Did you pass ?
It was explained in a very simple manner. I would be going for my trucking license . It really helps me. To understand it better. Thanks again
I got my CDLP December 28th been driving ever since and your videos helped a lot now I’m studying you again to get ready for my pre trip and break inspection the road test and backing will be a breeze thanks again man
Passed my NJ Class B with air brakes first time with help from your videos
congrats!
Thank you for this video (and many others found on UA-cam) I just past my Pretrip inspection incab and air brake tests also my backing part of the test. because of you helping with not only telling us what to do and say but your lengthy explanations of why and what is actually happening etc. You are an excellent teacher. I probably watched this video 10 times.
Glad it helped!
If I'm going to get my cdl in the future I wish to get a teacher like you are.
Thanks, let us know if we can be of any help to you in the future!
I just passed my test and I got my cdl license in Illinois because of your very accurate videos thank you so much for sharing this videos I highly recommend you
Excellent, Jonathan. Thanks from North Carolina.
Thanks for watching, Johnny!
I just got my loan and now I’m looking for school, I keep watching this video. So when I start there’s not a chance I’ll fail. Thank you Jonathan for this video and educating us on how to do it in cab and airbrake test!
In New England you also test your trailer hand brake, plus you do a compressor recover test (from 80 to 100 in 45 secs or less).
U also have to test your air horn where I'm at in Illinois!
Nice video, but remember to check the seatbelt condition and latch, also mention and pray the windshield washing fluid... great job.
Very concise and step by step. Much appreciated for going at a slower pace than some of these hick instructors. Just what I needed after days of studying to reinstate my CDL. Oregon. Thanks again!
@Darry How are you doing
Hope we get to know each other with time and patience?
I love this dude. Thank you so much man. I passed every test watching you. You deserve alot of credit
Wonderful video. Passed my cdl test yesterday. Thanks!!
I feel responsible myself to comment, appreciate and say Thank you so much for your great work, I whatched this vedio and I passed my test.
Congrats Hafiz! We are always happy to help.
perfect video but yes most states require seat belt first or you failed.
Maurice Hamilton that’s harsh!
It's like that in Washington
Abs light as well
@@hiphoplifesstyles2077 It's how you learn, I'm a 1979 build. Worlds full of snow flake pussies these days that don't know if their male or female
Including NJ so yeah insta fail 😂
I NYS while building pressure back up before the incab, you have to count down when your first tank reaches 85 psi and pause when it reaches 100. Then continue counting when the second tank reaches 85 and both tanks need to reach 100psi with 45 seconds.
Thank you for this video! I learned a few things from this video that my instructor didn’t mention and I have a test on this tomorrow 🤦🏽♀️ today was my first time practicing in cab inspection and air brake test on a truck.
Passed my test first try in NJ, these videos and hours and hours of practicing and studying payed off. Anyone taking this test just follow along to the video and memorize it till it’s robotic
Thanks friend, for your positive review. We are always happy to help!
Congratulations
Tahmez O. Thanks man!
@@hollywood1821 I'm taking mines next friday 😭😭😭
Tahmez O. Good luck man you’ll kill it! Just be confident with everything you say
Finally someone who does it in order👏🏽thanks now I have something to study. My school handed me a paper to study that’s also out of order so this video is gold
I just passed my cdl test on the first try !! Thanks a lot to this video !!! If you’re thinking about doing it then you can !!
Here in Connecticut we do the trolley break also! And after we changed the gauges, we fanned down to 99and do compressor cuts in and cut out..Thanks for the awesome Video! Again!
Thanks for the nice comment
I was failed for checking the low pressure indicated and emergency brake before I checked the service brake. I did mine exactly like yours and the examiner said that michigan section 11 should be done in order. I honestly feel like it was just to get more money out of me. Nonetheless, I have another test this weekend and your videos are still very detailed. Thank you for your time and effort.
I had the same in Texas. Half way through the air brakes the examiner asked me would you like to know why you just failed? She failed me 3 other times, Went to a different place and passed the first time. Found out later that she was fired for only passing people that had the same beliefs as her.
@@themarine375 hey sorry. I actually recently passed and the guy heard I did. Was this examiner of yours a radical Christian or Muslim? Seems like this country has a shortage already, no need for these examiners to play God with it.
@@steveniedowicz8335 Hindu. So as you can imagine in a small town in Texas very few passed. So obviously she didn't last too long. But I have talked to a lot of people that were failed by her.
You are a lifesaver, all the information you have giving was an A plus
That looks easy enough. Thanks for being clear. There are so many airbrake tests you can run (governor cut-off, cut-in, rate of increase, etc...) so I am glad that you can pass a test with only knowing the few you demonstrated in the video.
Yes, exactly
Guys...this is top of the line instruction video!!..vveery professional and e everything clearly explained and the why's answered!!!
👌👌👌👌👌!
Thank you for the great videos! Definitely helped me pass my Class A tests!
I’m already going to school and you explain better than the instructor I have now .
We are the best = )
Driving Academy | Car and CDL Truck Driving School I’m from Chicago and I failed my pretrip
I thought it would be the same but it wasn’t
thanks, perfect video I did exactly the same thing and I pass DC DMV
Thank you. Congrats on passing!
@@CDLDrivingAcademy Please bro can I have your email address please?
Thanks to your pretrip video and this one I aced my test. Pre Feb 7th permit. I'm in illinois and only had to add 2 things to my in cab, pedals and check washers. Other than that I appreciate your videos they were a great help.
very well and easy explained! thank you. today I passed my written test so your videos helped me a lot!!
Great job!
timing of the sneeze was perfect
most amazing in cab inspection explanation EVER!!
Your videos helped me pass my tre trip thank you so much!! Gotta go back for the parallel parking tho I nicked a cone
sure you can read the manual for permit but nothing like hands on thanks informative
I got my cdl by only watching your videos ty ty so much great content very simple
And don’t forget to support your content makers by watching all adds (its free)
The hard work you put into teaching is very appreciated! Thanks! Can't wait to get my cdl. It's the only way into the line trade.
3:30 It's actually 3 psi for single vehicles and 4 psi for combination vehicles. Unless it changes from place to place depending where you are taught?
In ohio that's what I had on my permit test. 3 for single, 4 for combination
Depends if the breaks are on or not
It's 3 PSI for a combo vehicle during the static brake check at 3:30. It's 4 PSi for a combo vehicle during the applied brake check he does after that one.
California is way different we are learning a lot more and u have to say what your pressure is at before u do applied leak test and then after the minute I have to say if u lost pressure and what it is at after, then lower air warning light between 55-75 and then what psi it is at when the light came on and spring brake test between 20-45 and then what psi the spring brakes came on
That was the best experience and explanation of the actual air brake test I have seen.. I'll be taking my test for bus in a few days for the CLP and just this part helped me alot. Thanks for the vid.!!!
Best incab inspection I've seen thus far
Thanks
Thanks to this video I passed my air brake test and the in cab inspection,
This teacher is awesome 👌
So glad I passed the test already
Congrats Jason!
Great video, explanation was very clear and detailed. Best cab inspection I have seen.
Thank You
In NJ it's 4 psi air pressure loss in one min with a combination vehicle. You also need to check the windshield wipers ,washer fluid, there are no cracks in the windshield and test the steering wheel has no more then 1 inch play.
Very informative video 👏 for a class B in South Carolina it's very similar to the school bus I drive
Thank you, this helped me pass first time. Best content on UA-cam!
Enjoyed learning about a truck operation. You spoke well. Gave fun and ucces.
Your videos are extremely helpful. I am going for my cdl class b. Thank you
Thanks Jeff, let us know if we can be of any more help to you!
I appreciate that. I am currently studying hard. Thank you and God bless
I'm going take my test in two weeks I hope I can pass my test

Thank you. Watched your videos and passed easily!! Illinois
Hello Toby Fredrick, How are you doing?
I am watching this and it was to be expected ; very very well done and professional!! Iam using this!! Thanks and again!!
Thanks!
Your welcome
this video was the only one tht helped me thank you
We're happy to be of help, Carlosxnj!
Thanks man, that helped me understand it a whole lot better.
I have my road.test Class coming. Up should I take class with stick shift. Or automatic?
It's not the same process as Ontario Canada, they do the Pre-Trip inspections differently. We start with the Low Air pressure warning device first, then second the Air pressure build-up time, third the Tractor towing vehicle protection valve, forth the Air loss rate, fifth testing the Governer settings, sixth testing the Automatic application of the Trailer Spring breaks, and seven is the vehicle Spring breaks. And nine is the Air takes Drain valves. Last would be the pushrod stroke, Brake adjustment measurements.
Thanks bro for this halpful video next month i am gonna starting my cdl journey
This video is exactly what I need. Thank you!
Great glad we could help
My test is on Monday!
Sir you are the Best..I hope I can schooling at your place and your school..but I can't because I am poor in Philippines but I can drive...i wish you GOD BLESS
Thanks
Don’t you have to say on the second safe start that between 85-100 psi it should take no longer than 45 seconds?
Correct
thanks for u explaining Air brake system
You did not check for you abs brake relay valve for the pop in your in Cab brake inspection
Yes such a nice easy method.100 out 100
You don’t have to pull trailer brake for parking. On a practice in winter time it will freeze.
Ohhhh I like when he says it's a must to do the air brake test. Everyday ,YOU SHOW ME WHO DOES THAT EVEYDAY
lol Most people dont. The Outstanding Drivers do.
Thank you from Detroit, very well done video
I’d like to see you perform an airbrake test and an in- cab Inspection on an automatic.
its almost the same all you change is you do not put it into 1st gear and you would chuck the front wheels before you start the test. You can Join our hands on class and do the test in an automatic. Give us a call 908.525.3609 we are open 7 days per week.
At my work, I have to move and park our International trucks constantly. Damn near all our trucks leak air so everytime I start one of the trucks I have to sit and wait for air pressure to build while sitting at 10 grand. It's like a little break 😂
Thanks a lot for your support, excelent video and better explained
Thank You if you would like hands on training give us a call 908.525.3609
Please help me out and clarify this.. You've been extremely helpful in my study but I've read the NJ CDL manual and checked in multiple sections. It doesn't say anything about waiting 1 minute twice. I just says you half click, apply the foot brake, wait 60 seconds and you can't lose more than 3 psi single 4 psi combo, just like you said, but it doesn't say anything about that first minute you waited. I just don't want to fail for something small and stupid, please help and clarify, you've be very helpful so far
Exactly do you check the one minute once or twice I was just once
Those are two different air break checks... the "static" check and the "applied pressure check".... when I did my class b cdl a few years back, the examiner tried to fail me because I didn't do the "static" break check, but I'd never heard of such a thing and it wasn't in my state's CDL manual... luckily I had the manual in the truck and he tried to find it in there but couldn't, so he couldn't fail ne. Just check your state's manual, if it's in there do it, if not dont worry to much about it. And make sure to have the manual with you in case there is any dispute about it.
You are a great instructor,I comprehend everything you're saying .😀
What about the ABS light? I don’t think you even mentioned it..
Honk eletric e air
Great video.instructor awesome job
Thanks
Last parking brake apply you started from red octagon.
Rest are amazing:)
Excellent video the best one I could find by far . 👍
Thank You

This video is fantastic. Thank you so much for posting it. Call your mother and tell her she did a great job. ; )
LOL Thanks
Blessings to this guys
Back in 1998 when I did my road test at new Jersey dmv
The guy doing the test told me
I know you studied hard being I was with Schneider national and wasn't worried about doing the pretrip
We did that all in the cab
Talked about everything in the cab and the air brake check than we drove
He said he wanted to make sure I knew how to drive
Could you send me one of your list, I listen to you every day several times a day.
Our lists are for our students only so become a student and we can help you 908.525.3609
Good information but shouldn't the wheels be chocked? I know in MD that's how we're taught.
Hello Christian, the wheels should only be chocked for automatic vehicles.
Love your vids! easy to understand and very helpful. Just started my on hands tractor driving at driving school!.. this helps as to what to look forward to
LOVED this tutorial!! Explain things clearly and slowly!!
So in georgia If you dont put your seatbelt on before starting the truck you fail..
You are an amazing instructor
Best explanation ever thank you so so much !
when you are done inside and when you step out to do the pretrip you are supposed to take ur key with you
Yes always take the key
Is this air breakers part 2 explained hands on?
Thank you for the video. Too bad I'm in Long Island or I would have went to your school
Thank you for the video, I am wondering about, a test of the compressor; I saw, that the compressor should reach from 85 PSI to 100 PSI, on 45 seconds (for ´97 models or more recent model), and 3 minuts from 50 PSI to 90 PSI on models before ´97, Is that Right?.
Very Solid video !!! Great information thx again 👍🏼👍🏼
AMAZING job on the explanation
Very, very good demonstration. Thank you!
