Once again love your recap!!!! Especially when you point out Prada🫶🏻 also, Varjak’s decorator sugar mama is such an underrated style icon!! Honestly justice for the glamorous women who put up w these boys
The bachelor pad scene was cringy but it was what Charlotte needed. She had just gotten out of a marriage with a man who wasn't even sexually attracted to her and didn't seem to be sensitive to her struggles with infertility (the cardboard baby) In comes Harry who tells her she's a literal goddess, Trey was an idiot, and that if she was in his bed he wouldn't let her go. She was desired and appreciated. Its also in Harrys character to speak his mind openly even if it means coming off brash. If SATC was a more serious show, this scene probably would have played out differently but it was the start of Charlottes true development
I like this season too and it also feels transitional to me. I think that maybe because SJP would have a baby she decided to show less skin in the future (?). Because during the argument with Samantha she says that she is old now and she covers herself up more than in the past. Maybe that make it the right time to create one more fight between Sam and one of the girls for the former's promiscuity.
Love how by the last few episodes, Carrie is in looser dresses, or purse in front of her waist or she's sitting down , more close ups- the usual way TV masks a pregnancy. SJP probably wasn't that big at that point, but still had a bump. I love this season, especially the last episode with Nathan Lane.
This season made me scream-laugh the most. The random was through the roof, and now that I understand that it was supposed to appeal to the teen/young adult crowd (another favourite genre of mine), it makes total sense. Sometimes it felt like the girls morphed into Louise Rennison's "Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging" gang (if you haven't read this book yet, please do. The movie adaptation was meh because it just doesn't capture the inner-chaos of the teenage girl like the books do)
You said this so well! The Angus books are hilarious bc the girls are young and inexperienced. Pairing that squealing awkwardness in grown women was just so cringe of the SATC writers lol
season 5 was the beginning of the end... i really feel that after this season it all starts to get worse and worse. also, the make up they put on carrie was to much. I mean, why all this make up?
Yes!! That is how I remember Ron Livingston from Office space, always! Trey for me will always be Trout from The boyfriend school/ Don’t tell her it’s me movie. 😂
Your take on burger and breakfast at Tiffany's was new to me it explain a lot❤ I can't stand burger at all he is also not attractive very generic guy like guys pictures in English learning book who spelling" hello" and smiling , I never understood his anger and being that coward I thought it's artist's anxiety but he was giving a little time on screen to be analyzed, still can't understand how superficial Carrie would fall for pathetic one like him for more than one night stand, Big and Alexander are always her type, maybe she thought she changed and burger was her equal 👀beautiful review as always ❤❤❤
I remember this season as one of the first seasons I watched of this show. It’s one of the most memorable for me. I don’t like Carrie or Miranda’s hair this season :/ The actress for Nina Katz returns for the prequel series and dates Mr. Bradshaw!
If I remember correctly Stanford was afraid that people would think Marcus was with him for other reasons than love because Marcus was way out of his league. (Looks wise)
I will never understand how a show that claims to be all for woman and empowering it's always talking about how it's awful to be single at 30's 40's and the girls where never happy to be single and focusing on themselves
I think the season was fine, definitely not the best but Carrie is not my favorite character and she was at her worst this season (imo). I also didn’t like the way they styled her. SJP is a beautiful woman but the way they did her hair and makeup at times didn’t make her look good at all. Her outfits were not my fave this season either. Not a good season for Carrie overall. Ps I hated her shrieks so much.
I love the 5th season. It's so different and realistic. I wish the writers had the guts to keep Carrie alone and scared like that exploring the life of w woman who didn't marry, didn't have a child and now entering a new scary season of her life. But nahh they made her super hot again and had her meet this rich Russian, because yeah.. that's totally what happens in real life right 😂😅
It always irrated me that miranda thought it would be that easy being a single parent, other than Charlotte the group wasnt baby friendly. The i decided to have a baby so everything and everyone else lives have to change. Then the cliche of the series, being that they brought a baby on board and then 2 of the main actresses went a got pregnant? Also the fat that its only 8 episodes yet the bump starts showing really fast and they looked like they didnt know how to dress SJP/Carrie. She was also more whiney and then shagging big after all that crap? Like WTF
I have a lot of thoughts on season 5 but long story short I love it. Though Carrie does seem really bossy towards her friends this season. The thing that bugs me the most is in Atlantic City she gives Charlotte a row for trying to talk to guys, insists she just spends time with her then sends her back to the hotel which Carrie grabs taffy... like wtf I can't help but view season 5 and season 6A to be the same season. It's clear to me all of those stories were meant for season 5 until SJP got preggers and they had to split the seasons so viewing it in this way helps to see that whole picture instead of leaving everything unfinished in 5.
2 things Steve probably never introduced his mom to Miranda because they were always on and off Plus Miranda probably didn’t really want to And then I don’t think Steve went to her mothers funeral, just the girls. So I don’t think he’s met her family either Tho it is off his mom didn’t meet them after she had the baby but Miranda likely asked for her not to come
I like how you suggest some fresh interpretations of some storylines, like the one with berger, you explain it so completely, I have never heard this version Personally, I have always loved bunny, she’s a funny lady and I like how she never judged but made fun of Charlotte kissing the gardener And I hate the episode with nina katz, Carrie is super annoying there 😑 I absolutely hate the episode where they travel on a train with Samantha It’s like the most useless episode in the entire series It’s hilarious when Miranda says It better be brand new to Samantha 😅
I actually love the 5th season the most, I feel like it's an important season because it establishes the arches for the 6th season! I love carrie's plot in this season as we see her try and develop herself without a man!
Berger was so cute 😭 Spoilers ahead. Though I love the theory that you just pull out I love that they preserve the detail of card collection that he has found around New York. Many writers date each other in that city, so I was kinda hype thinking that it they would be endgame 😢. Yes I'm watching SATC for the first time.
The cover girl argument is about the writting change in Carries character, she was supossed to be more open but afyer pilot the only one sexu4l explorer is Samantha! And that goes on and on becoming Carrie a hopeless romantic! And codependent!
This was oddly one of my favorite seasons in the series. Though it is often considered the worst, I feel it had a lot of tear jerking moments in it. Each of the episodes seemed to have a more storybook ending to it with a moral, or a realization.
As a mother who suffered baby blues I loved how motherhood was portrayed through Miranda. It was so raw and real, how you don't feel like yourself anymore. I also liked that Carrie focused on her career. She has a great style and haircut but she was insufferable in some episodes especially critical condition. I agree with you she's flawed and she could be funny, stylish, she's here for Miranda but she's also so self centered. For instance sh came to see Miranda, that's nice, just to talk about her... Smh. I love Charlotte and Harry's couple. Charlotte knows what she wants and opens up to Harry, she's stubborn but is okay to make compromise because she loves him and he respects her and challenges her. Sam is fabulous aways the way she stood up for herself with the bj to the delivery guy.
Miranda should have never settled wirh Steve. He made her christan her son when she is an atheist. He also never supported her, and actually, she didn't want a baby and to be a single mum. I don't blame Sam, she was the only one who said it how it was. She knew that Miranda was most like her. They were the 2 rationale, strong independent women in the group. Miranda was the one who called out the BS, and she herself then screws up her own life by having a baby with a practical hobo red flag. As someone who is judgemental like Miranda, I'd be just like Sam, thinking wtf has happened to my son. IRL one of my friends was a real bad ass until she decided to have a baby and marry a looser, now she doesn't work and is a mess with no confidence.
You hit the nail on the head, girl. People can identify with Carrie, whether they want to or not. It may be the parts that aren't so great, but those traits and behaviors are far more common than anybody wants to believe or admit.
It’s funny the fifth season is the most disliked bc it’s the season I’m most familiar with 😂 so all those episodes mean a great deal to me ❤ I couldn’t tell you much of anything about the seasons before or after except Carrie’s boyfriends and Natasha’s tooth.
The only issue with your berger therory is that his ex cheated on him and thats why they broke up. Hence the double middle finger to his machine. But your theory could still work its just he didnt really break up with her because she was more successful than him. She just was a cheater
5:15 Miranda chose to be a single mother. I never felt sorry for her whatsoever. She constantly pushed Steve away in the beginning. I never liked this character. And hated her even more after the first Sex and the City movie. She ignored her husband for 6 months. Stopped having sex with him for 6 months and blamed it on her job, her family life, her sick mother in law, and play dates for Brady... as if Steve wasn't there to help her. AND THEY HAD A NANNY !!! A wife shouldn't ignore her husband just like a husband shouldn't ignore his wife. So many times, she put him last. Was he perfect? Hell No! But he sure as hell deserved better than her. Carrie and Miranda were the ones I disliked the most. I can't stand those two.
dare I say it, justice for Nina Katz

Honestly I love all of the seasons.
I love these videos smmm pls never stop doing them!!! Love the fashion stuff too I’m learning sm about it I didn’t even know
season 5 was the beginning of the end... i really feel that after this season it all starts to get worse and worse. also, the make up they put on carrie was to much. I mean, why all this make up?
maybe they wanted to distract the viewers from SJP's baby bump?
I loved 'Office Space' and 'Twin Peaks', so it saddens me some only see Berger and Trey as these characters, when the actors are so great. sad panda 🐼
Agent Cooper was my teenage crush
Trey got redemption being casted in Desperate Housewives as Bree's new beau and gave her her first big O.
Yes!! That is how I remember Ron Livingston from Office space, always! Trey for me will always be Trout from The boyfriend school/ Don’t tell her it’s me movie. 😂
Season 5 is tolerable but season 6….. leave me out of it😭😭😭 (i still watch it anyway)
what about season 6 you don't like in particular?
I think you nailed the Berger-theory. Never thought of that!
I had no idea this season was considered subpar! I think of seasons 4-6 as being the show at its best.
I LOVE the decorator theory, especially bc I love anything that ties in Patricia Neal!
I love the deleted seen with Harry and Trey lmao
Such a stellar video ... agree on SO MUCH of this. Carrie is definitely the ultimate cringe this season, but 🤷🏼 what can ya do??? Haha
They always say they want complex female characters, and they couldn’t even handle Carrie Bradshaw 😭
Thank God, i was waiting for this video!
Samantha as babysitter - I love it ❤
Great video! As always!!! 😊
I remember this season as one of the first seasons I watched of this show. It’s one of the most memorable for me.
I don’t like Carrie or Miranda’s hair this season :/
The actress for Nina Katz returns for the prequel series and dates Mr. Bradshaw!
I loved season 5 cuz it focuses more on carries career
The Berger read was so good. It totally tracks
That season just felt different and it was depressing. I agree it was the worst. But Charlotte meeting Harry was the best thing about it.
ohmygod. i've only ever watched season 1 of satc but i didn't realise we met harry so late in the series?
More please! Thank you
Carrie was Berger's rebound and Carrie was just too much for him. Love your theory about him. Nina Katz did nothing wrong!
If by unhinged, you mean racist to describe Steve’s mom then yes, fully agree.
If I remember correctly Stanford was afraid that people would think Marcus was with him for other reasons than love because Marcus was way out of his league. (Looks wise)
Season 5 is actually up there for me! I love the episode when they go to new jersey
I will never understand how a show that claims to be all for woman and empowering it's always talking about how it's awful to be single at 30's 40's and the girls where never happy to be single and focusing on themselves
I need more videos of satc PLEASE
Season 5 is my favorite
what's your favourite season 5 episode?
Atlantic City!
new subscriber! 🎉 great recap!😊
@@evakrajenbrink7630 I HATED her shrieks ESPECIALLY that rain scene. It literally gives me the ick.
Great video! Really fun to hear your takes.
Season 6 was terrible to me🥴
why?
The thing that bugs me the most is in Atlantic City she gives Charlotte a row for trying to talk to guys, insists she just spends time with her then sends her back to the hotel which Carrie grabs taffy... like wtf
I can't help but view season 5 and season 6A to be the same season. It's clear to me all of those stories were meant for season 5 until SJP got preggers and they had to split the seasons so viewing it in this way helps to see that whole picture instead of leaving everything unfinished in 5.
I love your take on Carrie, I love the character just because of that
2 things
Steve probably never introduced his mom to Miranda because they were always on and off
Plus Miranda probably didn’t really want to
And then I don’t think Steve went to her mothers funeral, just the girls. So I don’t think he’s met her family either
Tho it is off his mom didn’t meet them after she had the baby but Miranda likely asked for her not to come
Yes Steve and Aiden showed for Miranda's mother's funeral. That is a fact from that episode.
I love your take on the Carrie character. I love her too. A very problematic fave
I like how you suggest some fresh interpretations of some storylines, like the one with berger, you explain it so completely, I have never heard this version
Personally, I have always loved bunny, she’s a funny lady and I like how she never judged but made fun of Charlotte kissing the gardener
And I hate the episode with nina katz, Carrie is super annoying there 😑
I absolutely hate the episode where they travel on a train with Samantha
It’s like the most useless episode in the entire series
It’s hilarious when Miranda says It better be brand new to Samantha 😅
Even though season 5 isn't great i did love samantha this season i was happy she ended her relationship with Richard he wasn't good for her
i just LOVE how they made stanford the top lol
I love your voice and your videos!
In season 6 Berger said Lauren cheated on him.
Charlotte looks so gorgeous in that pink dress
How could anyone hate the season with the train episode!
Your articulation👌👌
Oh my god Charlotte's remarks towards Harry is exactly me with one of my male friends right now 😂 he also wants to marry me
Miranda should have never settled wirh Steve.
Loved this!
You hit the nail on the head, girl. People can identify with Carrie, whether they want to or not. It may be the parts that aren't so great, but those traits and behaviors are far more common than anybody wants to believe or admit.
the new series makes this season look like citizen kane 😂😂😂😂😂 i always liked this season, didnt know ppl didnt!
God I love your SATC videos ❤
rlly enjoyed ty
My favorite Polish girl has uploaded!
My favorite season!
It’s funny the fifth season is the most disliked bc it’s the season I’m most familiar with 😂 so all those episodes mean a great deal to me ❤ I couldn’t tell you much of anything about the seasons before or after except Carrie’s boyfriends and Natasha’s tooth.
Is this the season with Berger?
berger i think starts appearing in s6
@@theladyprincess I didn’t like him.
he appears in two episodes of the 5th season
Berger and Carrie were so mismatched. He was too negative and jealous of her success
It’s Carrie’s hair, it ruined the season 😂
The only issue with your berger therory is that his ex cheated on him and thats why they broke up. Hence the double middle finger to his machine. But your theory could still work its just he didnt really break up with her because she was more successful than him. She just was a cheater
5:15
Miranda chose to be a single mother.
Omg unoriginal sin is like top 3 episodes????
Where part 2 of season 4 review
❤
First here!!
Hate Carries look this season! Not the best haircut!
