New to all of this. How do I "Take the power from the device" as he says? How do the chassis connectors work?! How do I continue with the cabling INSIDE the rack / patch panel? Do I have to know soldering for that if I want all Neutrik TOP connectors? How do I properly do that? I am completely lost still, even though i've been watching these vids for like 2 hours
You can solder a cable to the chassis connectors on whatever you're making - once you've done that there are loads of ready made cables available on the web to connect your device to a wall socket or daisy-chain them with other PowerCON devices. These connectors are only designed as the main point of entry for power, usually for a piece of pro light or audio equipment or a rack; Power connections inside a rack require you to connect some kind of a power distribution method inside of your rack (as in- get a row of Schuko's and solder them to your PowerCON True input/output) then you connect the gear that's onboard to that distro and power it all on. Hope this helps a bit.
Okay, I like these. I'm wiring up my van and resent the wasted space of standard plug sockets. I'm sold!

If my lighting fixture has powercon connectors, is it possible to replace them with truecon connectors?
Only if you don’t care about voiding the electrical listing
