They sped it up Australia were tired by the time Casey and Crowley came on. Sam prendergast was getting ireland into great spots for line outs his out of hand kicking and cross kicks were top notch but kellaher darts and and some of the line out lifting were not good enough and as much as I love Lowe he screwed up a few times one time wasn’t his fault as they had an overlap but kellaher pulled a scissor last second and lowe threw it into touch . I think Kelaher needs to go back to the provinces and Gus McCarthy should be promoted to starting Irish hooker. Because the line out improved when he got on. But Craig Casey and Jack Crowley brought a noticeable difference and well done to them.

When you look at the performances of Scotland, France and even England in the Autumn series you realise the 2025 Six Nations is going to be super competitive.
Yes, looks like France have got their mo-jo back and are looking very much on form, as is Scotland. Although England didn’t have a good Autumn series, they still looked dangerous at times.

Oconnor has lost so much of his credibiltiy for me in the past four matches. His obsession with Leinster 10s is ridiculous. Prendergast has a bright future, but right now he is nowhere near an international 10
I didn’t think he was one of the best players tonight. For the first twenty he was playing like Ross Byrne imo. He improved, his kicking was mostly excellent and he does have a superb pass. That said let both lads play for their provinces and whoever looks the better in January has the shirt.

Crowley and Casey...won the game...our attack is gone...lineout in shambles....Finlay is a bench player..Gus is a revelation.....Henderson and O"Mahoney time is up...
I agree with you they made a great impact. Casey in particular really sped things up although you have to remember Australia were tired from defending. I don’t think the attack is gone Australia we’re just very efficient at the ruck. Choosing when to go in and went to not contest and fan out in defence. They were very good at picking which ruck to attack. The lineout definite was a shambles I think Kelaher needs to be dropped when Sheehan comes back and ghost McCarthy needs to be promoted. this might not be liked Because of how heavy a Leinster presents there is I think we need to look at bringing Max Deegan at line out he’s been phenomenal the season are disrupting all the teams ball The way Peter O’Mahony used to. We need to work on handling, line out, general discipline and protecting the ruck better we’re getting too isolated in the opposition 22. Positives were we got new blood game time, our counter ruck was excellent, the defense is still quality although Australia found a lot of gaps yesterday. Kick chase was good but can be better and territorial kicking is excellent. That was a very good and well coached Australian team they won the first half we won the second half.
Henshaw has lost whatever bit of pace he had and never had a very creative streak so he’s fucked. Bundee still putting in solid performances. Gus looks to have promise but he’s screwed seeing as he has sheehen and kelleher ahead of him at club level. But the line out is gone to the dogs ! Surely O’Connell has to be sweating over his position on the coaching ticket now at this stage
I understand the need for experience around the younger players but having Henderson and O'Mahoney coming on the pitch says alot when really and truly we have enough experience in the pack. The guys in the pack have been playing international level rugby for years now they have enough experience
Gibson-Park's passing was frequently poor. So many were high and behind the shoulder. Lowe had probably his worst game in a Irish shirt. Handling errors across the team and the lineout was awful again
I agree about Lowe. He seems to be one of the untouchables when it comes to criticism. But Stockdale did more in 45 or 50 minutes before injury than Lowe did in the whole series. A shame to see the big lad back to his best, only to be injured again.
