I loved the video, just discovered you through this video, great content, you've gained a subscriber and a student, I've taken notes of all the tips and will use them in my own portfolio definitely. Thankyou Hemanth, look forward more such great content
HI Hemanth! Hope you're doing good. Thank you so much for this video. It is very helpful for freshers like me. But the thing is I am unable to open the template, can you please help me with that?
I do not have any background in design, i studied Literature, I have gotten good at design principles and tools. Wrote two case studies too, I am a little clueless as what can I possibly do.
This is up to you. I would not put it, as my LinkedIn profile would be linked in my resume (which has my profile pic). The primary objective is still for the manager to find your work and capabilities interesting. How you look, may add a personal connect, but doesn't usually (and shouldn't) influence the decision. :)
✋I know, web design, UI/UX design, and Brand Design - and my portfolio is based on all of this But how can I separate my portfolio when you said multiple resumes for multiple jobs like, web design, Ui/Ux, and Brand Design- because my multiple resume link in one portfolio. Then, how my requiter will react when he sees the resume title & portfolio is not on one thing? Looking forward sir, Thank you so much for your information❤🙏
Hi Hemanth, nice video. What do you suggest for people making a pivot and entering ux but have fair understanding of ux and have extensive experience in website and content management? Struggling to position myself.
Hi, It really doesn’t matter what your past experiences have been. All that will come in handy as a UXD in some form or the other. This is because as a UXD, your job is to design experiences. You can do that well if you focus on ensuring you have these 3 fundamental things - 1. Ability to understand and analyse user requirements and problems. 2. Ability to understand business requirements and what the company/product wants to achieve. 3. Ability to build solutions that are functional and aesthetic. What is UX at the end of the day? Think about it. It’s just experience design. There will be overlaps in content management (closer to content/UX writing) and managing and building websites (overlaps with my earlier points 1 and 2). You can start transitioning from that. Don’t treat UXD as a totally different field.
@@hemanthsharma thanks a lot Hemant for such detailed pointer much appreciate it. Now coming to resume as these career service fellow say add to titles a ux role to show recruiters, does this make sense?
I notice that you didn't include your image in the resume. Can you tell me why the reason is ? And what your recommendation for this? Should i include image in my resume or not.

For a fresher, it’s mostly about potential. Unless you e worked on real projects as a freelancer during your studies, your focus needs to be about how you showcase your potential and capability. I’ll may be plan a video in detail in the future as there are more nuances to it.
At a resume level, there’s no way to measure. Even without stars. Stars are just a way for the you (candidate) to claim how confident you think you are at a particular skill. That’s further assessed during interviews.

A lot of the things you mentioned only apply to already established ux designers. It would be useful if you could do one for newbies.
Will do a video on that soon… please stay tuned.
Informative
Thank you sir.
