Haha. Doom's not evil. He's just an end justifies the means kind of guy. He's actually kind of a softie when it comes to ruling his own people. Just not so nice when dealing with outsiders, especially ones he perceives as a threat to him or humanity as a whole.
It's pretty in character that Doom would be against Bastion's actions of genocide since Doom went through similar trauma of persecution, since Doom as a child came from a Romani heritage. Yet, his people were hunted down by the former tyrannical baron of Latveria. I really appreciate how the writers really understand all these characters on such a deep level

X-Men fans have never been spoiled this much outside of comics in history! Whether it’s the deadly tag team of Nightcrawler and Wolverine, the Summers Family fighting a horde of Prime Sentinels, Bastion’s on screen debut as one of the the biggest and most formidable villains in Marvel history, Magneto proving again why he’s one of the most OP characters in comics history, and Charles Xavier ending the episode with “To me my X-men”.
*AND THIS IS JUST PART ONE!?!?!?!* If parts 2 and 3 are this great or even better this will go down as the greatest comic book tv show ever made!

People seem to forget that if Magneto is on one of the poles, he could literally flip the magnetic poles and essentially murder the whole world if he wanted to. He is a powerful villain but he isnt a truly evil villain.
Especially considering his past and what happened during the last few episodes
One of the creators of this show said on twitter that they had to remove a scene where Logan was coughing and panting after Nightcrawler teleported both of them. He was coughing from being tired but also because of the smell of brimstone.

A hill I’m ready to die on: this one episode is the single best 30 minutes of superhero content ever put on a screen. Not “xmen content” or “animated superhero content” or even “marvel content.” The single best 30 minutes of superhero programming in human history.

According to Baste, the Panther God of Wakanda. The only timeline in which Earth truly becomes a perfect utopia is the timelines in which DOOM conquered the planet.
There's also another timeline where Miguel O'Hara wields Mjolnir and pretty much becomes the leader of Earth, using the power of Thor's Hammer as a deterrent. Sad to say that you can really count these timelines on one hand, lol... there aren't much Marvel timelines where Humans and Mutants live truly in peace together...
Wolverine and Nightcrawler have always been the homies in the comics. They're like the unlikeliest best buds among the X-Men. That double team sequence is amazing

Magneto was at the pole because Earth's Magnetic Field is strongest at the Poles, so it amplified his powers.

Magneto finally displayed why he's an omega level mutant. That man is able to control the entire planets magnetic field. He's been holding back because like he said, he's trying to be better but they're pushing him to have to go through a second genocide sadly.

After watching this episode, Bastion has quickly become one of my favourite X-Men villains. Bastion is such a great villain so far in this show, and his plan is genius yet horrific to think about. Him being a mix of Nimrod & Master Mold is wild. I love how charismatic he is with his belief that mutants supposedly take away humans' chances of the future like a twisted entrepreneur, and what's even worse is that there is a level of truth and meta-commentary from his philosophy and how he manipulates blue-collar class racism and bigotry normal humans create based on their fears. Not to mention the fact that such a big part of the population are secretly Human Sentinel sleeper agents and didn't even know it is SCARY ASF! These things can also reproduce and extend the human population, making the implications even more terrifying.
That Wolverine and Nightcrawler fight scene is some of the best Western animation I have ever seen in a comic book show like GODDAMN, THE SCENE WAS PEAK! I loved seeing the first-person perspective of what it's like to teleport with Nightcrawler.
I love how much of an overprotective mom Jean was to Cable, and seeing the Summers family fighting together was cool and cute to watch. Dom Torretto would be proud
It was really surreal watching Dr Cooper become so numb to the death and misery humanity creates to make mutants suffer, ultimately coming to accept that Magneto was right about humans since Gyrich was teasing this fate in the first episode when he said, *"Tolerance is extinction"* , basically meaning summed up as whenever humans start tolerating mutants, humans believe they'll go extinct, therefore believing whenever mutants start tolerating humans, mutants need to go extinct, hence what happened in Genosha. Magneto also officially declared war on humanity after all the pain and death he witnessed and sending that EMP blast around the world, which no doubt caused hundreds of other deaths, like planes falling out of the sky, reactors losing power, and God knows what else was such a scary yet overpowered move!
BTW, THE CAMEOS IN THIS EPISODE ARE INSANE; WE GOT SPIDERMAN, OMEGA RED, DOCTOR DOOM, BARON ZEMO, SILVER SAMURAI, etc...
Bastion didnt even appear much in the comics after his debut and now seeing him getting respect like this is wild
This episode was CRAZY! If anyone is wondering why Cable doesn't use his powers, it's because hes constantly using telekinesis to keep the techno-organic virus on his arm from spreading. So he's kinda handicapped and has to use weapoms.
I'd love if they cured him in X-Men '97 like they have in the comics to make him even more badass.

This episode had it all. Great action, great performances, great animation, great writing, great music, great cameos, and great Easter Eggs. I said the word "great" way too much in this comment, but that's just how the episode was. Banger Episode.
It looks like Magneto specifically messed with the north pole to pull off that stunt, so he can't necessarily do an EMP on that scale anywhere else in the world.

That would be amazing and make a ton of sense if they introduce onslaught as in the original run he fought the entire marvel universe practically. I saw folks saying the cameos meant they were going to bring back spiderman cartoon, avengers, etc...I didn't really agree until I saw your comment. Onslaught ended with a marvel comics reboot basically. If they do that they could easily make new Spiderman etc.

Nightcrawler teleport POV is crazy 10/10 episode
I grew up on X-Men: Evolution, and one of the few episodes I clearly remember is the one where Forge (I think?) made a device to slow down Nightcrawler's teleportation, giving them a chance to study the Brimstone Dimension, but also accidentally letting out demons. In this episode, I kept looking at the background for hints of that dimension, but there weren't any; I guess he's just moving too fast.

This whole thing is an aftermath of X-Men TAS Season 4 "One Man's Worth Parts 1 and 2", people.
That explains what became of the Nimrod sent to kill young Charles Xavier after it failed.
Now here we are.
And best believe that the actions set into motions by Master Mold/Nimrod/Bastion will lead to Fatal Attractions and Onslaught.
This series has been a very pleasant surprise.
That part where y'all were talking about how people signed up to stop the mutants but in reality, they didn't know what they signing up for, thinking they were saving the world from mutants. Something simpler happened in Reign of Supermen, after they thought the Justice League was dead and Cyborg Superman gave the humans superpowers but in reality it was all Darksied plans.
I mean.. yeah, they were bigots who thought they were helping the world by exterminating mutants, yes.
a lot going on. Now that we saw Spiderman, my guess is that he just finished his journey with Madame Web (not the young terrible movie version). If Spiderman '98 ever happens, I just want to know if he finally found Mary Jane or not? Got screwed over when it got canceled. Heard about Unlimited that time and thought continuation? But nope, reboot.
BTW that spiderman you see is confirmed to be spidernan from the 94 spiderman animated series show, I hope we get a xmen 97 version of that show too.
If the Terminator comes to mind, that’s why Days of Future Past comic was one of the inspiration for James Cameron film. He always wanted to make an X-men or Spiderman film but had to double down on claiming he didn’t borrowed from that story so he wouldn’t get sued.

Silver Samurai is mainly a Wolverine villain, his sword is made out of adamantium. He was in an ep in the original X-Men series as well

I commented on Rocklee's Chanel on the last episode about the season 4 two part episode "One Man's Worth" about an alternate timeline present after Xavier was killed in the past by Nimrod and Bishop & his sister recruit the new Timeline Wolverine & his Wife Storm to save Xavier. I had a feeling that 2 part story was what led to Bastion's creation.

Magneto just racked up a huge body count. A world wide EMP? Every plane just fell out of the sky, traffic signals shut off, trains will collide and derail, people will be stranded in dangerous areas with no communication or transport, an unimaginable amount of food will waste due to failed refrigeration, crops will rot without equipment to tend and harvest them, hospitals will shut down. I doubt the show will truly go in depth on what the effect of a global EMP like this would be but the damage something like that would do would be borderline apocalyptic. Logistics are the unsung lifeblood of the world and he just nuked the entire concept of logistics on a planetary scale.
I hope that the writers will insightful enough to realize this. I think they were based on wolverine’s comment. At minimum, planes, trains, automobiles, and nuclear effects should be explored. The world wasn’t as plugged in then as it is today, but a LOT would be affected as you noted.
Those living with pacemakers are no longer alive because of that EMP.
Millions, if not billions, were completely affected by what Magneto just did.
It will be a while before electricity is back on around the world.
Humanity is essentially stuck in the pre-1870's Industrial Revolution era.
Nuclear reactors are ready to blow. hospitals without necessary electricity for life saving operations in the dark, traffic accidents with no stop lights working. All powered air traffic is grounded. Only gliders are operational. And don't get me started on the nuclear submarines below the sea.
