As someone with oily skin, I like to “set” my skincare/ sunscreen with a powder, especially in the summer. Then I use a setting spray to 1) prime and 2) bring back a skin-like finish for me to apply makeup on top of. Sometimes, I’ll use an additional primer on top of that if I’m trying to achieve a specific look, but on a daily basis, I don’t find it necessary.
I live in Puerto Rico, the temperature in summer is 100-113F in average with a 80% humidity (at least) and I’m oily AF all year around because we “don’t have” fall or winter. So, thanks for the tips!

I can't believe you're at 20k ... You should be at 45 billion!! Your sooo talented and easy to listen to. I also love your tutorials, I think you are the ONLY one who doesn't rush through the application of products/steps. I don't feel like your hurrying to finish...I really really appreciate that most of all. Also you don't seem to be a brand snob, lol. Some of us can't afford all high-end products, so that is appreciated too.
I'm wondering, you must have some clients that aren't in their 20's and they all can't have perfectly smooth skin, right? Can you give some tips on how those of us with some fine lines and/or adult acne can have pretty make up? For example, I have both but I have never liked foundation because it feels heavy (even the light versions) and it has never sat right on my face, so I use tinted moisturizers. I'm not looking for complete coverage because I'm ok with some imperfections, but do you have any favorites? That's a product I'm willing to splurge on. Also I've got crazy dry skin...and I have yet to find a concealer that doesn't make me look older than I am (I'm 49). Just any tips you can share for mature skin that you use would be so wonderful.

I’m almost 40 with extremely dry under eyes and some fine lines. I’ve been trying this new concealer by Saie Beauty called the Hydrobeam Concealer. It’s affordable and definitely worth a shot. It’s not extremely full coverage which is just the perfect amount for me personally.

Hi I am 54 and i do love makeup and wear it but i do have dry skin and sometimes my eyelids and i love eyeshadows so i would love some tips !!

A tiny bit of powder on the brow area before applying the drawn on brows helps too in addition to powdering them after
Patrick Ta has amazing blush that has both the creme & powder in the same palette. It’s been my go to and sometimes that powder just sets into the skin and has the best staying power on its own!

I'd love to see a video on how to gradual tan/sunless tan in hot humid summer. It gets SO BRUTAL here in Queens, NY, that you'd think you were in a steamer or pot of boiling water.

Perfect timing on this one, Nikki! Thanks for sharing your tips! Although I have dry -normal skin, I do get too shiny for my liking after exercise in 90+ degrees( like it is here now), and in my kitchen; no A/C! And I love to use powders, so have learned how to incorporate them, sparingly, from your tutorials. My undereye is my biggest problem, which used to look like a mudslide , even if using the barest amount of mascara , concealer, and eyeliner, when I taught my active classes. I happened to use a powder puff that came with one of my compacts this AM, before viewing you this PM, so I am learning well from you!!

I believe it is a good idea to do a video like that since most of us don’t want to have so many items to chose from, but want the one that will work the best.

I needed this video! I am getting married in Las Vegas next June and I want to know how to keep my face on haha! Is there any make up setting spray you’d recommend for Vegas in the summer for longevity?
I have ALL eyeshadows on me creasing and disappearing after couple of hours unless I use a base (in any climate). If you are like me - Milk really did nothing ☹️ would probably have to throw away as none of my friends really use these primers.

I started using creams the past couple years but always use powder products on top of them. It's strange bc i don't set foundation or concealer with setting powders though. Just bronzer and blush lol

It's so funny to me to be reading comments from people saying they just ordered powder puffs because of this video. Did no one own a pressed powder from the drugstore? They all come with powder puffs. Walgreens also sells puffs. No need to order online.
