Finally someone does a touch up video. I’ve been asking people to do this for years. I am in the healthcare field and go from heat and humidity to AC, have to have different types of masks on and off creating those lines, everything on the bridge of my nose- GONE, get sweaty and every time I touch up, like fully touch up, I don’t think blends well into older makeup. This is exactly what I needed so THANK YOU SO MUCH!🙏🏽 I do find the maybelline age rewind concealer a God sent because of how light in consistency while giving good coverage and being seamless on the skin. NYX Bare With Me concealer is another one that applies beautifully as a touch up makeup product, even over powder these work great. For full coverage Physicians Formula Instaready concealer is great, but the pump sucks… forewarning. The formula though is amazing.
Never thought to bring my beauty sponge with me in my bag with the mornings foundation still on it for touch ups. This makes a lot of sense and as long as a pro MUA says it’s fine, I’m allll about it. Great video. Only took me 4 years to find a video that covers everything I was needing help with 😂 as far as touch ups go and she hit every issue. I’ve asked and I’ve asked creators to do this and none of them ever would thinking it was pretty self explanatory, but it really isn’t, because it never looks seamless when women touch up. It always looks cakey in areas, or too dewy, or patchy. Whatever the case, it is never seamless like she showed us.
I’d love a video on how to deal with overly watery eyes while doing makeup. Some days I end up with a streak down the left side of my face, because my left eye, gives me so many issues.
I also have very watery eyes to the point o could not wear anything close to my eyes and switching to vegan products has allowed me to wear makeup again . I’m not sure what ingredients eyeshadows have that give me allergies but I’m guessing talc is the cause .
I had similar issues years ago when I was working with animals. Not sure if mine were allergy related, but my eye doc recommended using eyelid scrubs (the leave on formula) daily, and preservative-free lubricating eye drops. I’ve also elected to use talc-free makeup in case that was a factor. I no longer have any issues!
YAAAAAY!!! FINALLY SOMEONE HAS THE SAME ISSUE AS ME!!! I think my tear duct is blocked & so often my eye will water…it ruins my makeup & I don’t know of a solution. Thanks for ur comment😂
@@AngieLolaPaganThanks for ur comment…my right eye waters A LOT & I assume I have a blocked tear duct but my left eye also gets watery so maybe it’s allergies…I think I might try only vegan products & see if it helps. Glad u found a solution:)
You’re such a fun personality and this was a great video. Would you do a “what’s in my handbag” video? Makeup, skincare, anything you carry in your bag day to day
In all my years of wearing makeup (I’m 60) I never learned so much tips and tricks before that actually worked for me until I found your channel recently. Thank you so much for sharing ❤!! I’m going to be a lifelong follower of your channel 👏🏼👍🏼🥰
You don't look like a hot mess! You look like you're glowing, to be honest. I love how realistic and honest you are about how makeup breaks down throughout the day. It really helps me feel better about my end of day makeup.
I freaking love your channel! So educational and fun! Can you please make a video about how to prolong your makeup, or tips for oily skin or the best makeup for oily skin! Thanks ❤️
Thank you for this…you are so thoughtful and thorough and down to earth. One phrase you used on this video struck me as you went through the touch ups: being a human. Every time I watch you, you reach out an touch our humanity. You are a professional MUA but you bring awareness to the practicalities and the flaws and vulnerabilities without the shade.
Nikki, I rarely comment on videos lately, but I just wanted to tell you how much I admire your work, your talent, watching you explaining everything every time in such detailed and well explained way, your voice as well so calming, everything about you is just so Wonderful to watch, hear and learn. Love you !
I love to see your subscribers number going up, I can't wait for thousands more to discover you. You're lovely, downt to earth and your make up tips are great 🥰
Thank you for the tips! Will definitely implement these touch up techniques in my daily routine! I would love to see a tutorial with super long lasting products. Love your videos ❤️
Super helpful! As well as very professional, as I would expect from someone working in the industry. I’m very glad YT recommended this video to me. I’m in my fifties and recently got back into makeup and did not know a lot of this information. It will be very helpful on occasions when I’m transitioning from coming home from work and then need to get ready fast to go out to an activity in the city(Chicago in this case although I’ve been in LA a time or two as well) and don’t have time to fuss with a whole new application because of traffic.
What great tips, I just love watching you. After the amazing Mel Thompson passed away last year there was a huge hole in my beauty loving soul, and you filled it . Thanks
I love that you keep it real. No beauty blender shaming. 😂. Can you do a video that addresses peeps with a bigger area above the eyelid (below the brows). Great tips!!
You're awesome. Really really awesome. Loved the tips about the makeup bag! Ive been struggling with fancy makeup bags getting dirty since EVER and never seen anyone that had that issue figured out hahahahha super loved it. ❤
Awesome topic! I have never seen anyone address this. I’m new to your channel and so sorry I never found you before now. I’m bingeing your videos and totally addicted! My favorites are the Uncut and your tips because I’m learning so much! You are right up there in Guru status with Wayne Goss, Lisa Eldridge, Andrea Ali… And yet so down to earth and relatable. You have already changed my makeup game. Thank you so much!! Hope to see you live on Sunday btw I bought some individual brushes and can’t wait to get them!
In the south we call it “glistening” lol. Not going to lie I thought this video was going to be bs (not you just me thinking there is no way to reapply makeup haha) but you proved me wrong, this video was full of really helpful tips! I just started watching your videos and I’m really enjoying them!
Thank you ! Your tips helped me keep my makeup looking good while travelling. I love my mini beauty sponge ❤ I have bought some Girlactik products too, fabulous.
Great video as usual (I never miss any 😍) Awesome tips. I was wondering why you did not need to touch on your eyes. How do you make it? For my oily lids it is almost impossible to stay on more than 4 hours.
In my 20s to mid 30s I used the toilet seat cover at work to absorb oil. Works wonders. I am 44 yrs old, soon to be 45 yrs old this month and I have no need for it anymore.
Thank you so much for this informative, lovely video. Can you show us how to touch up eyeshadow. Even though I use primer, I have oily lids and the color disappears throughout the day. I appreciate your hard work and really enjoy all your advice. Thank you and best wishes!
I don’t wear a lot of make up…but this is the most useful make up video I’ve watched to date. I have really oily skin which is why I’ve pretty much given up on it as a super busy mom. But for a rare evening out, or for weddings this will be a game changer so bringing a bag full of products. Thank you! ❤
I've been going to the chiropractor lately, and the paper that they put down for your face to rest on the table is the most absorbant oil blotter (and possible makeup remover) I have ever encountered. I told the doctor that I need to buy some. 😂 It's so embarrassing to see the mess I've left behind when I'm done, though. 🥴
Hi Nikki Thank you so much for all your great product reviews and recommendations. I bought the coola setting spray and wanted to add, that it does a great job for the make-up (heavily oily skin), but leaves my hair terribly sticky and ruins my curls. I will have to find a way, how to avoid getting spray on my hair in future 🙈
AWESOME tips for busy ladies like us! One quick question, which sunscreen ☀️in spray do you recommend? I am btw Coola or Kate Somerville, but I am open to your advice for a new one (if that’s the case). Thank you so much🫶🏻
Hi Nikki. I am very new to your channel. I know this video is old and probably you won’t see this, but just want to share some love. Love this video, and been watching a few so far. Very thorough and easy to follow. Thank you for this tip especially, because as mentioned before easy to follow. I tried it step by step (off course with your help) lol, but it worked. My makeup still looks flawless. Thank you again. And keep these type of videos coming. Stay blessed be blessed😘😘
Thank you for the touch up advice. I have a question, do you recommend blush should be applied further up on the cheeks or the Apple. I noticed you applied blush close to your nose on the apples. There is so much which goes around on the internet where blush should be applied to up lift your face.
Great tips. I was hoping you’d show touching up the top of the nose. That’s where I lose coverage later on. When I try to sort it, it ends up looking patchy or cakey .
Can you please do a video on base makeup products for super dry skin. I have tried a lot of foundation bases but they either look too dry or start pilling if I touch my face even a little bit. I always prep my skin before makeup still this happens☹️
I live in east Texas. It’s hot. In the summer I carry a clean washcloth with me. Call it my sweat cloth. And I dab my face with it. Haven’t tried a tissue but I will. I hate the blotting papers. They lift my makeup. No bueno. I’m not super oily, but I do sweat a lot in the heat. Gonna try your tips 😘
Hey! does the Jouer translucent pressed powder, have flash back? Cause I really need a powder to touch up and I too, happen to be very oily especially in summers.

Ur touch up advice is so awesome I've never heard any of this!! Ur a beast nikki! Love ya girl!
Totally agree with you about oil blotting paper. When I had extremely oily skin the paper would make an imprint on oily makeup residue. Yuk!
Thank you! I had no clue on how to effectively touch up my make up. So simple. Well don ❤
It is great how detailed you explaining how to apply makeup!
What great tips, I just love watching you. After the amazing Mel Thompson passed away last year there was a huge hole in my beauty loving soul, and you filled it . Thanks
Haven't tried, but did purchase Milani SPF 30 setting spray. I am very happy w/one for oily skin - it is *almost* as good as All Nighter.

I found touching up under eye are tiniest bit of Lubriderm for dry skin & tad of concealer.

These are great tips thank you 😊
