New Hyundai Creta has improved shell.
According to Hyundai Motor India, the strong body structure of the new Creta is forged with liberal amount of advanced and high strength steel offering a protective shell for all the occupants. The body structure has been further reinforced on key areas like crash members, floor, side sill and crash pad to improve structural rigidity and energy absorption. AHSS is still lower than PHS - hot pressed. They should use hot press steel for A and B pillars + engine bay chassis.
With just AHSS, body shell/ cabin will still not be stable in a crash. That's why they have used 6 airbags, TPMS, etc. just to attempt to get that 5 star NCAP rating.

Why do such Gimmicks when they don't test Seltos & Creta (Indian Variants) in Gncap or BNCAP. Previous score was a pathetic 3 star for 20lakh SUV.

Same promise was made 4 years back with old creta model...they showcased elephant over body...but all false. ...creta managed to get only 3 star ncap rating so far...These Koreans have low quality cars for India

Build quality I agree. What about other points like interior quality, refinement, cabin insulation/NVH, features, space/comfort, reliability, after sales service. If you give only build/safety and the above points are all shit then it’s a crap product like a Taigun/Kushaq.

AHSS have general yield strength of >550 mpa and tensile strength of > 780 mpa and HSS has less.

Because , it may be surprised for you..
Most of the OEM in INDIA working for NCAP only right now..and by concentrating on driver safety only , they can fetch a decent rating...
I mean to say , most of the BIWs s are asymetrically made..
