@@subwaymark you don't have to make out the car numbers it's actually the difference in the cab windows M3 is slide to the side while M1s pull down or up.
I remember a terrible wreck in 2013 where the engineer in a southbound train fell asleep and the first few cars went off the rails. 61 were injured and 4 people were killed, one being a guy we knew in Cold Spring. The engineer was new to the run, fell asleep and went past alarms that tried to warn him of his speed. The track comes straight down and takes an amazingly sharp turn east. I think it requires a 20-25 mph speed. He was going a lot faster, woke up but it was too late.

I knew this one was a M1A as I could barely make out the car number.
I was born in the wrong time to be a railfan.
I'd love to go further back in time, but I know I'm capturing stuff even today that will not longer be at some time in the future.
