Edit: I should update this, since it only seems right. I tried on a few occasions to play Dead Rising 4 again, and I literally couldn't get through it. I can't possibly hold the opinion that 3 is worse than 4, since I played DR3 literally 3 separate times, and couldn't get more than 1 playthrough in of DR4. I can't respond to every person calling me out on it, but I totally understand why that old "DR4>DR3" opinion might seem silly. In a vacuum, DR4 is worse than 3, but I still think the drop-off is most significant from 2 to 3, which is why I felt so strongly about disliking it. One of the developers of the DLC confirmed that these stories weren't the original plans, but due to the Microsoft exclusive deal, it messed up what they really wanted. They originally wanted it to focus on Frank West and Chuck Green.

This is so stupid, Dead Rising 3, and 4 have the same problems and I'd argue 3 is worse in a lot of ways. If you like the travesty that was DR3, good for you
I actually really like dead rising 3 Not for the story, or the gameplay, or the design of the world, or the weapons, or the bosses, or the DLC, or the super zombies, or the characters, or the anything come to think of it I have no clue what I like about this game. Maybe the power levels, like how you start out really weak but then you’re clearing whole crowds with your kicks That’s my main draw of dark souls 2
May be because its a gta with zombies and cars. Not sure what other game has something like that (no dying ligth 1 dlc doesnt count because it has to be with towns instead of a city)
just leaving it here in case anyone is confused about the ZDC DLC it's tied to the xbox smartglass missions, which were once featured in the game and meant to lead up to the events shown that part of the game is now inaccessible unless you use an older version of the xbox app, but you won't be missing much aside from an unawarding side story, access to ZDC weapon crates, and numerous locked areas in los perdidos (the police station in south almuda, the locked doors in certain fire stations and the wrench-o-ramas, etc.) if anything it's more of a drag, but it did toy around with the idea of using your phone as a transceiver, which sadly ended up feeling gimmicky it also includes snippets of info on psychopaths with backstories, which are also uneventful hope it helps *edit: the locked areas do contain combo weapons or ultimate combo weapons, but otherwise feature nothing unique
one of the main developers of the main game explained that with the deal they had with microsoft to make this game exclusive to xbox that made there time to develop these 4 DLC’s less then 3 months to make from start to finish storyboarding writing and development in 3 months
In the Angel dlc all those survivors who die in the spec ops raid on that safe house also have "X Is Dead" pop ups as you approach. And all of them are survivors you save as Nick in the main game. Why they bothered to have that detail, which only adds in more in game inconsistency, instead of just have them be corpses or like you said zombified to match up with the Kane dlc better is beyond me. It feels like all of these were done at the same time by different writers like some half assed comic book event that none of the writers bothered to actually synergize with. And Angel is the absolute worst of that in terms of narrative inconsistencies.
Also her make up in the dlc is wrong, when she has her hoodie on, it suddenly changes when she's swapped to her main game model. The amount of these inconsistencies piling up only makes it easier to notice these otherwise small nitpicks honestly.
There are interviews of DR3 devs saying they were heavily rushed for the dlc stories. That's why the story is awful, inconsistent, and most of the gameplay consists of collectibles.
Think it’s just expectations. Most people I hear who hate it justify most their points by saying “x was better in Dead Rising 2” and “we can no longer do y like we could since Dead Rising 1”
They’re just hating it way too much like sure it’s not the best dr game but it’s still fun as hell and that’s what matters in a game. I also don’t get the movement complaints like sure there’s issues but it isn’t hot garbage like dr4s movement. Can’t defend the vehicle movement tho that shits ass
@@Evanz111 Yes it's worse than the first two games in almost every way when you compare them. A lot was better in 1 and 2, with underground being a big example of level design becoming progressively worse each game.
I remember playing this demo in 2013 and thinking it was gonna be such a huge step up from dead rising 2. Then after finally playing it I only got as far as the Chinese boss who drops the guan dao (very early) just because of all the pent up frustration with the movement. Seeing the comparisons to the old games frames it very well because at the time I couldn't put my finger on it other than thinking this one just isn't fun. Great video!
The DLC for this game just proves the low level of charm and creativity that were put into Dead Rising 3. I think we’ve all played a game or DLC where you play as someone other than the main character. The gimmick is typically this character is different and you have to play them differently. Giving all these DLC characters access to the weapons crafting system is so lazy. This should have giving you a chance to play the game in a new way with characters that have access to different weapons and abilities based on who they were. I’d be like giving Sherry in RE2 a gun for her sections because god forbid we have to change the game play in an interesting way to justify her inclusion.
I still think UA-camrs have ruined the term “awful” and “utter trash”. The game is still more fun and competently made than the majority of average games. It’s just largely disappointing because people expected better for a Dead Rising title. I do respect your commitment to covering the game in such depth though.
@@freeziboi3249 And like, the worst thing is that he's nitpicky, and rejected what good points he had (except the sex critique, more of a "should be equal without in bad taste" situation) to just praise it. He hasn't become less nitpicky, he just SAYS he isn't. Honestly it burns. Like it's, he's gone completely insensitive. It's disheartening to see in real time.
Tbh honest I play Dead rising 3 for the goofy wacky things. Not because it's super polished, great story, open world, and movement. Because Dead rising 3 has none of these things pinned down. What it does have down is being fun. Most of this is rather mute points. I think you came at this from looking at its predecessors, and it's studio and there's nothing wrong with that. But it's not that kinda game its very far from that game. I absolutely love the this game for what it is. If you don't like this kind of game then that's cool and you don't have to play the game. I think a lot of people agree with me that Dead rising 3 has the best gameplay for all it's dumb flaws. I've never had more fun in a zombie game with my lads in my life. In my opinion this game is for people who are big on chaos, and not for those who like order. I like both but I'm not gonna critique the one for not being like the other.
Very good argument here. If you came for fun that what you'll get. Dude started crying over the fact that they dont use alcoholism as a game feature people like this dont know how to enjoy games
@@amon22347 I will say it would've been an interesting feature to see alcoholism either make her less agile or maybe even more resilient but either way it's not that deep
@@amon22347so in a dlc where you play 4 supposedly "unique" characters where one of them who's entire personality is based around a substance that is a usable item in game has exactly zero gameplay mechanics related to alcoholism, or even unique interactions related to using the substance that's their defining character trait? And That's somehow not a very reasonable criticism?
@@God_gundam36 literally read the comment above you. Honestly it's really sad that it even needs to be told but IT NOT THAT DEEP. And it weird af that not having alcoholism makes the dlc bad for you😑
Hi @Dorkaxe. I have been late on this, but I figure I covered some things for the Dead Rising series. While the original Dead Rising was made in Japan, it should be noted how important Capcom U.S.A. was for the development as they played a big part in the characters' designs and the game's dialog. For example, Frank was supposed to look much fatter and uglier in the original. Capcom USA said it was a terrible idea, so they decided to go for a more average look for Frank as well as the others. Dead Rising 2 first began development in Japan as a lot of its concepts, like the characters, location, and more, came from them. However, not all their concepts were good. For example, Chuck Greene was originally supposed to be Chuck Reid, a smokejumper in his mid-40s, as opposed to his early 30s like Greene, and would be skipped even further in the timeline as Cindy (Katey) was going to be 11/12 and would have been infected since she was a baby. This was changed to a motocross superstar as they felt Chuck being a smokejumper would make him too over the top and not everyman-like. They also ensured that Dead Rising 2 would occur in real-time, like 1. Capcom U.S.A. again helped with the development of 2 as they helped with the culture of the USA and communications between Capcom Japan and Blue Castle Games. Blue Castle joined the project in early 2008. While they did not create a lot of the original concepts of 2 or the changes I mentioned, they did create the combo weapons as they were inspired by The Red Green Show, where ppl would use duct tape to fix or combine things. I would also add that Case Zero was being made as the base game, and Case West was when they added the final touches. Both Case Zero and Case West took roughly six months to make for both titles. This is more than half of what DLCs of three got, as they were only given three months to make them and were not being made alongside the base game. Their original DLCs were supposed to be a prequel story like Case Zero. This would have been followed by epilogue chapters, with each focusing on different Dead Rising protagonists, starting with Frank West, then Chuck Greene, and finally, Nick Ramos. This was changed when Microsoft bought the project in mid to late 2012, and their budget was then focused on the base game. There were other changes, too, such as originally how Dick Baker, the 2nd player of Dead Rising 3, was supposed to play a bigger role in the story alongside Nick and how Ending X, an ending in which you kill all survivors, was cut. Capcom Japan did support and research development for Dead Rising 3 and 4 if you look at the credits. I would also like to mention that the producers of Dead Rising 3, Jon Airhart and Mike Jones, have worked at Capcom Japan at some point, with Airhart doing communications for 2 and DLCs, while Jones was an assistant/associate producer for Dead Rising 2 Off the Record and Resident Evil Operation Racoon City. Airhart has since moved back to Capcom USA and produced the remasters of 1 and 2, While Jones left in 2014. There is more stuff, but I covered enough and suggest you watch Did You Know Gaming's video on How Capcom's Dead Rising Studio Fell Apart - Game History Secrets by Liam Robertson to learn more about 3 and 4.
Honestly whenever i hear people say this game is bad an why it always boils down to it just not being like the last dead risings or like the case of this video being stupidly extremely nitpicky. The game fun
Funny enough it’s my favorite dead rising mainly because I have the most fun on it. Ik it ain’t the best dead rising game that belongs to 1 or otr but I just enjoy 3 the most cuz of the gameplay and weapons.
Don't get me wrong, I love Dead Rising 1 and 2. And I have problems with Dead Rising 3, many of which were voiced in this video. But I don't understand the critique of powerful weapons being easy to come by, or giving the lockers such flak, in almost any playthrough of Dead Rising 1 under the fucking sun people always carry the Small Chainsaw from the Adam boss fight and a bunch of magazines to buff it. Dead Rising 1 is by far the easiest game in the franchise to abuse because of this. With just 1 or 2 out of 3 magazines to buff it and just occasionally grabbing the chainsaw when you are in that section of the mall you never need to pick up any weapon though the game again (I know because I literally did a playthrough not to long ago where I did not pick up any other weapon post Adam). Even in Dead Rising 3 where the lockers are plenty I ran out of ammo/durability and occasionally scrounged about for weapons to use in a pinch. In Dead Rising 2 your combo weapons constantly break and need replacing, especially the more powerful ones, or they straight up have the limitation of being heavy which makes them unviable. Nothing in both of these games even comes close to how ridiciolously fucking efficient that small chainsaw is. People will conjure up ridiculous excuses because it's Dead Rising 1, but suddenly with Dead Rising 3 anything goes.
And I criticized the mini chainsaw being too OP in my critique of it. That said, I'm looking at it from a map/world perspective. Having to go to wonderland plaza to get it, or the antique shop for battleaxes and etc makes the world feel a little more fun, it encourages you to grab them on the way. The lockers feel like a convenience solely for co-op and a crutch due to the shitty overworld. If you had to put items in there yourself, or you couldn't make so many of them, I don't think I'd dislike it as much. Either way it just adds to the "you're always literally right next to strong weapons" argument, which is my main issue. Magazines were also far better in DR1 since they take up an inventory slot, it's a trade. Some type of buff vs a free slot. Plus the way you're talking about it, I mean, yeah when you're near max level and already know everything, of course DR1 is easy. On a first playthrough though, DR1 and 2 felt like you had to learn the map and figure out stuff on your own, whereas 3 just shoves shotguns and rocket launchers at you nonstop.
@@Dorkaxe The locker point doesn't really make sense because Deadrising 3 is an extremely large open world and going to the other side of the map just to get one of the 100s of blueprints would be annoying a ridiculous, especially if you are trying to get the actual good ones.
@@robotzzthesecond All you're really doing is shifting the blame to the bad open-world. I can totally see what you're saying, but the lockers then become a band-aid solution, which has knock-on effects on the weapons and items overall.
i personally like dead rising 3, i find the game to be fun. i do agree with the critisicms the game at one point started to feel lifeless and empty but i still found it a somewhat fun experience for the most part
I personally loved Dead Rising 3, but it's okay if you don't like it! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion; but I understand you didn't like how it got too easy at times alongside the fact that Frank West is in it. But it's all good, I would rather play Dead Rising 3 any day over Dead Rising 4.
Also this wasnt mentioned but when i first tried to play this game i chose nightmare mode cause i thought “its a town, not a mall so the bathrooms/save areas should be in each building…” NOT ONE IN A BUILDING i could find in a whole street area! Isnt it illegal for a business NOT to have a bathroom? Whoever designed this game failed “Game Design 101”
Well Los Perdidos is based off of Los Angeles and living in LA I can confirm that most stores here either don't have bathrooms or do have them but aren't accessible to the public, lol
@@compedycakemine6960As someone who lives right next to LA, I can second this. The only places with public bathrooms I can think of are restaurants (including fast food) and maybe a grocery store.
Disagree with you it had the authentic dead rising feel, being timed for missions, building your own improvised weapons also the first one to take place outside of a shopping centre or a mall. also you where a new character who isn't Frank West or chuck greene. Nick ramos was just a survivor while Frank West was a photographer, chuck was a racer with motorbikes as Nick your character was a engineer so you could craft stuff. Dead rising 4 is the worst one in the series no timed missions can craft everything without earning the blueprints personally dead rising 1 - 3 are better then 4
Yes you definitely outlined a lot of traits 3 had... However seeing as the video is over an hour long and you posted this only two minutes ago this seems like a kneejerk response one could copy and paste to literally any video that is negative about 3. So really I don't think you can disagree when you've pushed the other side of the argument out fully and just listed all the small things you personally like. Not really how a debate works, gotta actually take in the criticisms and analyze them to come up with valid counterpoints.
@@Hi_Just_Fred I get that dead rising 3 was one the games that let you do what you wanted grab weapons and put them together to get the better one Guns are useful but not as viable so you had to use melee and pick up anything to fight zombies. Thing its opinion but you have counteract things if the story was bad but the gameplay is good games decent if game plays trash story's great it's for story mode if both are rubbish =trash game.
I feel like dead rising 3 and saints row the third are a good test for people with trash game taste. They can't see the game for what it is and only as it's ideas. For example, they can't tell the difference between the older games gameplay and the newer ones. They see dead rising 1 and 3, and to them it's same game with different graphics.
Honestly good comparison. I feel like its one thing to hate on a sequel that just falls flat but to hate on a sequel just because it not like the old games is sad
DR3 is just when you realized that the series is out of steam, there’s really nothing more you can do with the initial gimmick. It’s no worse and a lot of the complaints can also be said exactly for 1-OTR. The only issue 3 has is navigation, it makes vehicles pointless, next to or no strong antagonist, and the timer is too forgiving. However besides us hardcore the timer was a turnoff for alot of casual fans that just wanted to get in on the action. I think 3 handled the middle ground the best by giving us hardcore fans the nightmare mode… which admittedly isn’t that much harder. If you don’t like lockers because it makes things too easy….. don’t use them? You can play this like a traditional DR game, if you chose not to by indulging in the casual options that’s on you. Other than that the main story I’ll admit isn’t as interesting as 1 or 2, but it’s not bad… it’s just there. DR4 is the only really bad game
You know, if by a chance the spec ops go to the hotel, can't you just, you know, rig it with explosives... and blow it up when they get inside? Angel literally goes full Serizawa in Godzilla: King of the Monsters because she can.
The whole scene was awful but from 30:13 to 30:17 angel displays DMC donte levels of unfettered cringe that by itself turns her insignificant demise in the main story from an unremarkable tragedy to a happy accident, Jesus even in that scene she kinda looks and displays the mannerisms of donte
That line was formulated very soon after my first stream of the game, back in January. Just had to add the exception about the glove gun, once I saw that in a later stream lmao
LMAO that "boink" foam finger is amazing and that makes me so happy xD It was cool to see how they actually has some good parts for the DLC (like the infecting the safe houses) so at least it's not a TOTAL loss :P As always an amazingly well written and executed deep dive into a game that clearly has so much wrong. Your ability to dive into these details and put them so well together and make it clear what does and does not work for a game continues to impress! Keep it up and look forward to the next video!! :)
As a person who’s likes DR3 these dlcs don’t make sense to me on why there on the same map obviously Ik why but I just feel we could’ve told stories in a new place of the map you don’t see in the main game
All of your vids are always entertaining and funny, but this one might be the most downright hilarious. Of course, as a bit of a masochist myself it might come from it being a bit relatable to me but either way it's great! Good stuff, thank you for this blessing of content my good man.
I remember loving this game when it came out, granted I was 11, but after going through and trying to play it again like a year ago I never really noticed how much moving around the map is just sluggish.
Between the streams, ad libbing, and usual tight analysis this video is definitely one of your best! So sorry it had to be after all the suffering I had to witness 😣😣
Ya know, I discovered your dead rising 3 video while I was talking to a friend and got wondering why we couldn't force ourselves to beat it. Thank you for reminding me how awful it is lest I waste time! Honestly it's only slightly better than dark souls 2
I played through this so fast that i dont remember anything, game was so ass that i just ran to the objectives as fast as possible avoid fighting everything
I honestly love dead rising 3 more than 1&2 just because of the game weapon and vehicle system alone. Like you're given a reward for stacking combos with combined weapons and easily leveling through the hordes. i never get the issue like losing momentum after aiming like that while playing on pc. I HATE dr 2 where you can only make weapon on a certain place like you waste 2 inventory slot until you reach the maintenance room, so the crafting on the spot is a chef kiss for me
This video is legit why you have a low sub count. 3 actually had a huge fan base. Being the 2nd best in the series behind DR1. Oh and please tell me how DR2 is so much better.. that game felt like such an in between state. While the game had good ideas and was trying to improve, it was such a hassle to play and everything felt second thought. The setting and tone were not there. The Strip wasn't nearly as memorable either. 3 has an entire city, ties up loose ends in the story, can combo weapons on the go, can customize vehicles, the gameplay and physics were the best in the series, especially with all of the DLC. This is not a very good take considering DR4 exists. Anyways, cool video.
Vancouver didn't even want to make Dead Rising 4, but instead wanted to make something entirely different. But the higher ups at Capcom forced it. Just because that game was awful, doesn't make this game amazing still. It's still not as good as 1, 2 is decent in my opinion.
I think the biggest problems most games face is nostalgia standards. DR3 was a fun game. It was smooth, psychos were good, crafting was better, no load times, etc. People like DR1 a lot but the mechanics were a lot worse it was just new. DR2 was good and the first one I tried and had a hard time going with DR1 after using combo weapons, etc.
I have my gripes with Dead Rising 3, but in it's defend I'm gonna say that the comparison to TLOU is... Really unfair, man. Like that game has so much budget put into it, especially mocap, and you compare it to Dead Rising 3. That's all I got to say.
That's the whole point. Even in the highest budget realistic AAAA game, even STILL the characters don''t move as slow as Nick. The whole argument stems from Nick's momentum system, which didn't need to exist other than to add realism to the game, wasn't necessary at all and only makes the game worse. Budget has nothing to do with increasing Nick's starting speed behind-the-scenes numbers.
Bro, if you actually think DR3 is awful, you'll be absolutely disgusted by DR4... (DR3 is more fun at least, and the psychos have more personality.) Nick is a great character too; he has a whole arc of character growth over the game.
The lockers are optional though I appreciate u only need to get the weapon there I think? Or just pick it up and it goes to locker I forget. But some weapons u may only come across in a certain areas u don’t have to run over the huge ass map to get it. But good video as usual and something to watch for a couple hours thanks.
@@Dorkaxe Yes u don’t have to abuse it or even do it then though that’s the players choice to get 20 op weapons or however much. U can go to the same spot in dead rising and get the chainsaw and machine gun over and over tho sometimes less accessible or convenient. It’s probably for the weapons like boss ones so u get to use them again or just so u don’t have to make certain weapons that may be harder to find. I don’t think they respawn do they lust cannon etc? But I do get what u mean because since weapons suck everyone will most likely just always go to a locker and get a whole arsenal almost anywhere u will never need to try anything else out or be in a situation like u could be even picking up the same stuff at one spot in 1. I was editing then stopped so I just left it how it was I hope u get what I’m saying now I would’ve just deleted that if I remember I put it.
@@Dorkaxe I would’ve just deleted I forgot I left it and was editing but just left it lol so just leave it. But u should definitely do the mobile version please
@@mrthanos8140 I think the idea in Dead Rising 1, where you grab one one your way when you're nearby, is a bit better. One per loading time, basically. I see what you mean, though, but I still think the locker is too quality of life, undermining the point of exploring to some extent. Dead Rising mobile sounds fun, who knows.
Its also horrible optimised on PC. Combo categories are bugged showing no available combos, even though you have them unlocked, game randomly deleting your entire progress or Red boss fight being bugged if you defeat first phase too quickly. I luckily bought it at 7 bucks and apart from these problems the game was great, but I feel bad for people buying this game for full price.
That's WHY the comparison works. The game where you fight 100s of enemies should be the one to feel snappy and responsive, and the story slow-paced one should feel slower, but it's the opposite. That's WHY THE COMPARISON WORKS BRUH LIKE CMON
I respect the sacrifice you had to make to suffer through this bruv lol but it must be said this video might’ve made me laugh more than the original DR3 video . Amazing stuff dude 💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏
Honestly, I always wanted to play Dead Rising 3 I really like how it ties in with Dead Rising 1 with Nick being one of the orphans that Carlito injected and also it ties in with Dead, rising 2 with Chuck and Katie but sadly, for some reason, they released it only for Xbox one, and at the time I switched to PlayStation.
just finished every bit of dead rising content on your channel. you vastly improved from your first DR video, and in these later videos you often reminded me of matthewmatosis, someone i would consider the absolute peak game critic. looking forward to seeing your video on the upcoming remake.
I'm sorry you hated this so much. I got it on sale for 10 bucks and feel it was well worth my money. I enjoy it, and find the first dead rising a little too obtuse and difficult
You should give dr1 another try. Once you get the hang of it it ain’t too bad actually. Now trying to save survivors is awful cuz their ai is terrible sometimes
The ZDC agent was part of the XBox companion app exclusive and Nick will NEVER give zombrex unless do you that plotline exclusive with the XBox companion which is styled like Nick’s little doohickey for mission objective, at least on XBox but idk about PC
Yeah... Capcom Vancouver got shit for support and positive reinforcement from Cap Japan and Microsoft. I'm not defending them but digging into it Capcom fucked them hard and basically made them make these with very little creative wriggle room. Honestly kinda felt bad for em. There's alot to it but basically pulled a rockstar team bondai in reverse. Hopefully their talent went on to find better things and treatment. They weren't abusive as far as I've heard but they wouldn't let them do anything but what they demanded so what we got was straight from Capcom lol
Don't you put that evil on me. It's apparently not available on PC, and I don't have an xbox one/series so...yeah no no lmao no don't start, don't even lmao
I was there for the streams....I was there for the suffering.....including the tragity that was the angel is fallen dlc......and getting pissed learning about the glitch I had during the biker mission
I know this is rich coming from me, but I honestly think your at your A game when you cover games you enjoy, for example, I tried to do a review on Tom Clancys Splinter Cell double Agent for the ps2, I even used original Hardware and everything but the game was so mononist and boring that I genuinely believe I had wasted my time, I literally got close near the end of the game and gave up right then there, I felt so stressed out playing it, I believe people should find the good in good games, because it just sucks the energy out of ya, it almost always make you feel awful in the end I had a better time playing metal gear for the ps1, a console that arguably has way more limitations then its ps2 sibling and stiffer tank controls, but despite that it's one of the most magical game I've ever played on the ps1, it made me realize that games Don't need quality graphics to suck you into a game, it's matters if it's interesting enough for a player to keep going, and feel like there apart of that virtual environment or world
Being honest I did enjoy the game for what it was, because it at least had some of the essence DR1 & 2 had (for instance: completely deranged psychos with cheesy dialogues, the fact you can dress with anything no matter how ridiculous and ofc, the combo weapons), unlike the absolute rubbish that DR4 was (and it's not canon for me). I do agree mainly with some of your points such as a pointless "open world" with many blocked lanes & trails, or the movement system whilst running making me feel dizzy sometimes (unless there's an option to turn off that, but I can't recall...), albeit, I also thought that the Survivor System was a well-deserved relief compared to the bloody dumb one from DR1 because of its poorly designed AI. Respecting the psychos, I seldom thought they were unenjoyable, however, I did think they were made too easy due to some really OP combo weapons, nevertheless, reiterating, the absurd dialogues plus the amazing soundtrack made up for its lack of difficulty IMO (despite some people fancying "industrial rock" from the previous games better). Overall, DR3 was decent, although I do agree that the DLC were lacklustre, but I definitely prefer this game more than the mediocrity of DR4.
Another big reason why I hate dead rising 3 is because they should’ve made it for ps3 ps4 and Xbox 360 too but instead it got ripped off totally stupid
Just finished the game today the psychopaths personalities are stupid final boss was way to easy though Nightmare Mode does sound interesting the story is all over the place final thoughts didn't care for main story 1&2 are better as well as the spin off of 2 off the record i have to agree with you the puns are unbearable there way better in 2 and off the record one more thing to add is that this game only has 1 save file unlike 2 which has 3 so if you want to start all over from level 1 then kiss your level 50 nick goodbye
Edit: I should update this, since it only seems right. I tried on a few occasions to play Dead Rising 4 again, and I literally couldn't get through it. One of the developers of the DLC confirmed that these stories weren't the original plans, but due to the Microsoft exclusive deal, it messed up what they really wanted. They originally wanted it to focus on Frank West and Chuck Green.
Are u fr? Thats so heart breaking. I wanted dr3 to be frank and chuck so bad

@@jorgebellidolavado That's the stupidest fucking take I've ever read. I think all of us are dumber now for reading it.
just leaving it here in case anyone is confused about the ZDC DLC
it's tied to the xbox smartglass missions, which were once featured in the game and meant to lead up to the events shown
that part of the game is now inaccessible unless you use an older version of the xbox app, but you won't be missing much aside from an unawarding side story, access to ZDC weapon crates, and numerous locked areas in los perdidos (the police station in south almuda, the locked doors in certain fire stations and the wrench-o-ramas, etc.)
if anything it's more of a drag, but it did toy around with the idea of using your phone as a transceiver, which sadly ended up feeling gimmicky
it also includes snippets of info on psychopaths with backstories, which are also uneventful
hope it helps
*edit: the locked areas do contain combo weapons or ultimate combo weapons, but otherwise feature nothing unique
one of the main developers of the main game explained that with the deal they had with microsoft to make this game exclusive to xbox that made there time to develop these 4 DLC’s less then 3 months to make from start to finish storyboarding writing and development in 3 months
@@friendofp.24 Not really shocked.
But even then if they were given extra time I feel like all it'd amount to is polishing a turd.
As someone who was dealt with alcoholism extensively, I don't think the writers/devs have ever met an actual struggling alcoholic lol
I am not sure why people hate this game so much, its so fun and i have played it since 2013 and just began again a couple days ago
Nick is yelling at Brad because Brad appears in the smart glass missions. Which you can still access through some voodoo.
I still think UA-camrs have ruined the term “awful” and “utter trash”. The game is still more fun and competently made than the majority of average games. It’s just largely disappointing because people expected better for a Dead Rising title.
I do respect your commitment to covering the game in such depth though.
Definitely.
Also Dork's very nitpicky I feel. Just like his DR1 review.

Yes I agree, Dead Rising 3 sucks.
Very good argument here. If you came for fun that what you'll get. Dude started crying over the fact that they dont use alcoholism as a game feature people like this dont know how to enjoy games

I'm absolutely delighted to see you've uploaded this video.
Sometimes I feel like I'm in the wrong for liking this game, a lot of people hate it. I think is fun so idk

@@Dorkaxe you didn't even refute his point
@@trblemayker5157He addressed his point, and agreed with the fact that the chainsaw was an issue.

Facts

That's the whole point. Even in the highest budget realistic AAAA game, even STILL the characters don''t move as slow as Nick. The whole argument stems from Nick's momentum system, which didn't need to exist other than to add realism to the game, wasn't necessary at all and only makes the game worse. It’s a good game. Nothing incredible, but UA-camrs are just hyperbolic because it gets views
Not you comparing a story game’s movement to a game that has you fighting 100’ds of zombies on screen at a time. L comparison.
I like it and i have no clue why i like it
I'm sure that Brad collecting Zombrex chips was blatantly recycled for Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. They didn't even try to hide it.
Seems like the dark souls 2 of dead rising
I Did liked Super Ultra Dead Rising 3' Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX + α
You don't like that you can move while shooting? Huh???? That was on issue of deadrising 1. The clunky controls XD
Improvements! Yay! Thanks pal.
Something i noticed that you didnt bring up is how many of the weapon animations and executions are recycled its ridiculous how almost all of them are
Dawg I just found your OTR vid again and remembered how I binged your series a while back Amazing timing man.
Super Ultra Dead Rising 3' Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX + α when?
Don't you put that evil on me. It's apparently not available on PC, and I don't have an xbox one/series so...yeah no no lmao no don't start, don't even lmao
I was there for the streams....I was there for the suffering.....including the tragity that was the angel is fallen dlc......and getting pissed learning about the glitch I had during the biker mission
Although I have a strong disliking for deadrising 3 but I have to admit it’s pretty fun when playing with friends or sibling.
I know this is rich coming from me, but I honestly think your at your A game when you cover games you enjoy, for example, I tried to do a review on Tom Clancys Splinter Cell double Agent for the ps2, I even used original Hardware and everything but the game was so mononist and boring that I genuinely believe I had wasted my time, I literally got close near the end of the game and gave up right then there, I felt so stressed out playing it, I believe people should find the good in good games, because it just sucks the energy out of ya, it almost always make you feel awful in the end
I had a better time playing metal gear for the ps1, a console that arguably has way more limitations then its ps2 sibling and stiffer tank controls, but despite that it's one of the most magical game I've ever played on the ps1, it made me realize that games Don't need quality graphics to suck you into a game, it's matters if it's interesting enough for a player to keep going, and feel like there apart of that virtual environment or world
Things I liked about this game: Nick, and the mecha dragon, reaper, and staff family of weapons. That is all
I loved playing this game when I got it on the Xbox just hated the blueprints part but 4 is just so gross
Hopefully this is the last time you ever have to play this game! 🎉🎉 Fingers crossed lol what other kinds of games are you working on for videos?
Top secret
L take this is the best dead rising
ITS HERE! WEVE BEEN TRAINING OUR WHOLE LIVES FOR THIS!
Another big reason why I hate dead rising 3 is because they should’ve made it for ps3 ps4 and Xbox 360 too but instead it got ripped off totally stupid
Just finished the game today the psychopaths personalities are stupid final boss was way to easy though Nightmare Mode does sound interesting the story is all over the place final thoughts didn't care for main story 1&2 are better as well as the spin off of 2 off the record
i have to agree with you the puns are unbearable there way better in 2 and off the record one more thing to add is that this game only has 1 save file unlike 2 which has 3 so if you want to start all over from level 1 then kiss your level 50 nick goodbye
