Mathew 5:17. And the new testament has quite a few violent and homophobic parts as well. We know precisely what our holy book says. It's a matter of context and proper interpretation. This man also read some levitical laws, of which are not to be applied any longer. The ones from the NT are being read without context, as well, and are missing the point entirely.

The thing is Christians - (Catholics/Orthodox/Lutheran) we evolve while Islam stagnates.
Christians passed the initial stage in Old Testament to the New Testament in 1 century AD. Funny enough prophet Muhammad borrowed passages from our Bible into his Quran.
Hence the similarity between 2 books.
That's why Christianity is the only religion losing more followers than gaining, while ALL OTHER RELIGIONS ARE GROWING
