Great reaction as DOLL$BOXX is the definition of any genre. All girl band - DOLL$BOXX - a side project of Gacharic Spin (four musicians) with singer Fuki. They released an album called DOLLS APARTMENT which is a loose concept album about starting a band and trying to get successful. Gacharic Spin started around 2009 with the drummer Hana (she is also the main singer) and the bassist F Chopper Koga (Michiko Koga), guitarist Tomo-zo (Tomoko Midorikawa), keyboards Oreo Reona and Armmy who left in 2012 due to health issues (she later passed away in 2015). Three of the girls were born in 1986 and the keyboardist in 1988. These four are exceptionally talented musicians. The guitarist and bassist are considered some of the best players in Japan. The singer in this project, Fuki, is considered one of the best female rock/metal vocalist around and has worked/working in a lot of different projects (I've read shes on about 90 albums/songs). Her longest band project is called Unlucky Morpheus and is more metal. To listen to them try this - CADAVER REVADAC - ua-cam.com/video/gxN3L2jrrEI/v-deo.html - be sure to watch the whole 9 minutes - the first part is the main song, the second part is the first part played in reverse (scored note for note backwards).
This band has been active since 2012, they are currently in their second hiatus, their music is an eclectic "electro-pop" / hard rock / metal / punk, mix.
Good choice. Great project band that I can only hope can do more together in future. Vocalist Fuki distinctive. I find their videos highly entertaining, with showcase performances that take a little edge off the aggressive sounds.
Still on the theme of japanese bands focused on aesthetics. I would recomend Babymetal. There's a lot of dicussion about them, but leaving that aside, they have done some good prog songs: "Tales of Destinies" is their most technical song , but "Rondo of Nightmare" and "Brand New Day" are cool too. (Their live performances always are better than studio).
Check out Gacharic Spin. They are really a progressive band . A lot of there best stuff is deep cuts on their albums. UA-cam doesn’t offer a lot of there videos but I think all the records are on youtube Try “ winner “ Video . It’s an older song but one of my favorites. Kinda has a Rush feel ( to me anyway.
for a future wildcard wednesday give dreamcatcher a try. they are a south korean group that does all sorts of genre mashing, typically with rock/metal instrumentation. although they do have straight up rock/metal songs, I thought it would be better for you to check out one of their genre mashing songs, 'scream'. it's going to be a lot different from anything you reacted on your channel so I hope you're open to it :) ua-cam.com/video/FKlGHHhTOsQ/v-deo.html
I love the bass in this song so much. The drummer is also doing the screams and the backup vocals.
